Meeru Island Resort & Spa

My stay at Meeru Island resort and spa was wonderful. About Location: It is situated 50 mins away from airport and transportation by ferry is provided by Meeru Island Resort & Spa with extra cost. About property: Size is good with 2 branches of water villas and multiple garden and beach villas. Water villas have perfect view. You can see lots of fishes in the water from your villa itself. I was lucky to see sharks and sting ray. Corals near the beach are also very beautiful and free to visit. They have 2 swimming pools and multiple café. All beaches have sitting area for guest with chairs. Fresh towels are available for use. Price in bar is also reasonable and same across all bars. About food : Wide variety of food was served in buffet. Chefs were meeting and greeting the guests and also had 2 live counters for pasta/omlet/grill meat etc. Staff was very polite and helpful. About Hygiene : Hotel staff was following all the protocols and common areas like food serving area/shops/reception were always guarded to ask guests to follow covid protocols. Cons: Only thing I did not liked was the coordination between different departments. It was very slow due to which you might find a little lag in service. It’s mostly the room service. But whenever they are late they apologise and be very polite. Overall my experience was great and I will recommend anyone for this resort.

This was our best vacation so far. Place is so scenic and beautiful. Meru had organised everything so well, right from the airport pickup, welcome with drums, check-in, food, activities, room change, check-out, airport drop, everything was planned with great detail and executed to the perfection. Staff at meru is amazing and never hesitates to go out of their way to help. I would especially like to thank ali who was our waiter at farivalhu restaurant; he remembered all our preferences and was very punctual with everything. Also like to thank seem a who attended us at golf and snorkeling. Other staff members at reception, bars, malan restaurant, check-in and check-out were also great. Food was great with plenty of veg options. Infinity pool was also very nice. Jacuzzi at both beach villa and water villa was nice to relax at the end of the day. We could see baby sharks, turtle, manta ray right from our water villa. One minor thing that i want to suggest is to keep the ac on for a few hrs before the scheduled check-in time so that the room is cool at check-in. As the airport pickup is done by meru only and they already know the arrival time of guests, they can plan it easily. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at meeru. We definitely recommend it.

This was a wonderful vacation. The resort was superb. Starting from the speed boat transfer from male airport, to the very last day was superbly and efficiently managed by meru staff. The location is about 50 min away from the airport, by speed boat. The island is beautiful and the color of the water is amazing. The rooms are very well maintained and cleaned regularly. We had booked the jacuzzi beach villa. The buffet restaurant was wonderful, specially the staff went out of the way to make you feel special. The food was really good and there was a lot of variety. We had taken the all inclusive package, and so had access to the mini-bar and free snacks and cocktails. The service at the pool was really good, and the snacks and drinks were always being offered, whenever we were there. All the bars (dhoni, kakuni, hot-rock) had smiling and efficient staff. All the staff were polite and very helpful. Would visit again if i had the opportunity. Thanks for making my vacation special!

The resort is not very far from airport and it takes 45 mins speed boat transfer. The boats go on scheduled basis so depending on your arrival time you may need to wait at airport for sometime. Please check this with Meeru Island Resort & Spa. Overall food met our expectations except certain dishes were not at per our taste.
The island is located about 45 mins speed boat ride from airport. We received a warm welcome by meeru staff on our arrival at island as well as for rest of our stay. Rooms are big enough and maintained. Beach bungalows are just right for people travel-ling with small kids. The resort is quite big and have enough things to keep you busy for 4 nights stay.

We selected Meeru Island Resort for our honeymoon after Reading good reviews. So I had great expectations. Once we arrived at the Resort, we were thrilled with the natural beauty and hospitality of the staff which exceeded our expectations. The views of turquoise lagoons and lash greenery were breathtaking. The service quality was also awesome. We stayed at over water villa and Beach villa both. Both the rooms were neatly decorated and serviced with all amenities. The ambience was perfect for a relaxing holiday. We also enjoyed swimming in the lagoon and the pools. We would be happy to come back here later for another holiday.

I have stayed at meru recently, and i am very delighted by their service and stay. We travel-led as a couple and we are totally relax since meru team is taking care of all our stuff from food, checkin, to rtpcr, room change, etc. They have a great variety of food in veg too and that just make it wow for us. There service, the people all are very cooperative. They have a cute way of sending notification by letter system and i can see sharks, turtle at night from my water villa so view is mesmerizing. Thanks to meru team for making it a remarkable journey, highly recommend!

Had a great time here. Pros : awesone views, house reef for snorkelling, awesome food and friendly chefs tips : book beach villa for some days and water villa for some. Both offers different and good vibes. Carry your own snorkelling kit. We can buy one from india for the price of renting one from resort for a day. Issues faced : keys were not working and informed reception. But no resolution for 30 mins. We had to wait outside in scorching heat. Called reception again and after 15 minutes they came to help. Dont know what happened with the 1st call

We travel-led to meru resort as a couple, the place was beautiful. We stayed at both the ocean view villa and overwater villa. Loved the ocean view villa more. The food was brilliant (we were vegetarians, and plenty of options. The resort had couple of beautiful snorkel spots in addition to their famous underwater garden. Spotted sharks, manta rays and an array of fishes right outside our room. Good options for water sports as well. All in all a great stay ! and would highly recommend to all travellers.

We had a great time during our stay. In every way i wish to give * (5 stars) to this property. I would make a special mention of a dining room waiter named shyam who expressed his nice emotion for us before our departure by decorating the table of our last meal there in an exceptional manner without predisclosing this to us. Also i would mention the name of another waiter named hasan who arranged a surprise birthday celebration for my daughter with a beautiful cake.

Its an amazing island we are mesmerised by the island and views while entering, sunset and sunrise views are something that should not be missed and good for pictures, facilities or the luxury in Jacuzzi water villa is an experience that cant be missed. Snorkelling with jet ski in the closest coral reef is a life time experience that cannot be missed ( swimming not needed very helpful guide. Overall amazing stay and mesmerising views.

Beautiful location located 50 minutes by speed boat from male airport with excellent variety of indian, continental and other cuisine. There is something for every kind of traveller including good variety for vegetarians also. Hygiene and safety is of high standard and highlight is service and service line. Amazed by quality of service which is available 24/7. All inclusive includes everything and we don’t find any hidden costs

I choose this for my honeymoon spot, after a scenic boat ride the excellent staff welcomes you and takes you to the reception and gives a brief about the Islands map, the food is delicious and you can find a lot of varieties, the service guys are friendly and very welcoming finally the stay is luxurious, we are very comfortable with the facilities and the Jacuzzi. Great trip, thanks a lot to Makemytrip for the great deal.

This is the best place for all the adventure activities. And also keeping the cozy and private spaces for couples.

40 min away from airport by speedboat, water villas are absolutely gorgeous, we spotted baby sharks and manta rays from water villas, the experience was truly unique

Very nice resort with many food choices and indoor games too. Having separate area for people with kids and people without is the main plus point of this resort.

It was my birthday and they gave us complimentary cake and night candle light dinner. The location services are awesome.
