This Hotel Amaryllis is a gem of a place. We found it by accident when a previous booking was cancelled. It is situated in the bustling tourist quarter of Thamel, in Kathmandu. It is ideally situated for a 10 minute walk to Dhaba Square to see all the historic monuments and temples. It is surrounded by all the tourist shops selling everything you every wanted to buy from Nepal. And all at bargain Nepali prices! However, it is down a secluded, quiet street, with no passing traffic or honking car horns! It has a lovely grass courtyard with flower borders, that you can sit outside in and not even realise you are in the bustling heart of the city. The rooms are large, well equipped and very clean. The bedding and towels are fresh and clean, always my wife's no 1 priority! The breakfasts are a great buffet selection of western and Nepali foods. Yiu can eat as much as you want, in order to set you up for a days shopping and tourist sightseeing. Just a 5 minute walk away are the beautiful gardens of Kaiser palace. Next door is the great coffee house of Himalayan Java. There you can get Great coffee and Cakes. Their blueberry cheesecake is to die for All in all, I totally recommend this Hotel Amaryllis. My wife and I have stayed there many times now and intend to do so again, as soon as next month!

1. We were shown a different room during check-in, and were forced to stay in the same. We were showing the picture of the room we booked in the Hotel Amaryllis still they argued that it happens in on line Hotel Amaryllis booking sites. 2. A room was provided to us, but it was still not the room we booked. 3. Hotel staff were busy indulging with foreign nationals ( except indian, not only us ) as if they were the only guests. 4. No smoking for indian nationals were as, others were smoking in the lobby. 5. Amount was finalized after the bargain, then they are saying it's in indian currency. 6. Payment of food was not accepted in nepalese currency we had to pay in indian currency. 7. The rooms were small but clean. 8. Near to the thamel market.

1) i was supposed to check in at 12 pm but i reached early on at around 6 am, i had spoke to the Hotel Amaryllis reception in advance and the staff arranged the room right when i reached 2) the staff is very polite and supportive 3) they also have a travel help desk which guides you to the tour of nepal and also arranges taxi if required 4) the Hotel Amaryllis is situated in a good area in kathmandu 5) cleanliness and house keeping are at its peak, u will not complaint about anything untidy at all 6) lastly comfortable and trustworthy as well as reliable staff

Human interface is the most important factor on Hotel Amaryllis visits that how staff treats you and their service with positive attitude. I had booked Hotel Amaryllis amaryllis for my parents considering its location. My parents being senior citizen, I had had made request for rooms at ground level and other local support. The staff of amaryllis was very cooperative and helpful. The experience of my parent's 4-day stay at Amaryllis was very good and convenient. Full marks for the staff. Thank you.

Staff is very young and manager has a bad attitude. When I brought an issue to him regarding their driver, he got very loud and was basically yelling at me trying to convince me that I was not taking advantage by a ride to nagarkot that they tried to charge me 4, 000 rupees for. They told me it would take approx 7-8 hour day we left at 12:30 and was driver dropped me off at 3:30. Money isn't really the issue it was principle and the way I was treated by their ego driven young manager.

Hotel amaryllis is a hidden gem of a Hotel Amaryllis in thamel, kathmandu. My wife and i enjoyed our stay very much. The room was great, bed super comfy and there was plenty of hot water for bathing any time of day. The staff go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel at home. The food for breakfast was very good. The Hotel Amaryllis is super close to all the great ethnic shops of thamel market and many many restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

This property is one of the best in Kathmandu, I initially booked for two days, after reaching the Hotel Amaryllis I was so happy to see the rooms are big and very clean. The staff are very good and caring. The complementary breakfast was also very good. I have extended my stay in this property for another three days. Overall it's very good Hotel Amaryllis to stay and very much value for money.

We have booked it for March 2018. Location was very good, close to Market with reasonable tarrif, good service, food is good, breakfast really good. Very courteous staff. Room was big, neat & clean. An excellent Hotel Amaryllis to stay if have to stay for 3 nights. Great food and very good location as well, comfy bed, good interiors and decoration. You would surely love your stay.

Location is good just entry point of thamel. Near to yak and yeti 10 min walk away. Breakfast was also good though remains the same mostly all the days but is fresh so acceptable. Will visit again. Better to book via Make My Trip in advance to save on money direct dealing with the Hotel Amaryllis is about 60 usd a day. So good to have MMK in the middle

I had a pleasant stay at Amaryllis. The staff was warm and friendly and the service was prompt. Liked the breakfast very much. Excellent room with all the facilities. Major attractions such as the Narayanhiti palace, the Garden of Dreams etc. Are very near to the Hotel Amaryllis. I would say it is perhaps the best place to stay in Thamel.

I had initially booked the Hotel Amaryllis for 2 days but after staying for 2 days i increased my stay as the staff owner and location was very good. The food is also wholesome and it is like ghar ka khana and the staff is also very good supportive. The location is also very good and thus that makes your stay very nice.

The stay at Hotel Amaryllis was nice as it is located in the prime of thamel with many food joints and cafes in the surrounding area. Staff at Hotel Amaryllis was very nice and were of great help specially mr. Uday who was managing everything at the Hotel Amaryllis was great. Overall the stay was good

The triple room is great value for money. The restaurant management/service needs improvement. The food quality, in itself, is good. The restaurant service is not good. Other services/reception is good.

The room size was enormous, extremely comfortable for a family. The location is prime in thamel. Food was good as well.

The rooms are very clean and Staff of the Hotel Amaryllis are very nice and Co operative. It's value for money and everything is very near to this place. The Hotel Amaryllis is situated in Thamel which is a tourist area and noisy too but the Hotel Amaryllis ambience is very nice and peaceful.

Clean rooms and the Hotel Amaryllis staff was cordial. The Hotel Amaryllis is also located close to the main market. Their travel expert also arranged for a local tour of the city upon request. The morning breakfast buffet spread was also good.

Location of the Hotel and the quality of the room were very good, but there was no car parking space provided to us, nor they agreed to accommodate our driver.

Hotel staff are friendly and the location is very near to the nightlife places.. Rooms are also clean and good.. The breakfast they served is OK.. You can find many restaurants nearby the Hotel Amaryllis.. Had a great stay in the Hotel Amaryllis..!

Very good Hotel Amaryllis. Food is excellent. The cook is really awesome. Hospitality is very good. Staffs are great. Only one flaw. There is no room for driver and parking area is too small.

Mid-range Hotel Amaryllis on the market location. There is a lot of Indian shops, a lot of option for shopping.

We stayed 3 night at amaryllis Hotel Amaryllis, they provided us nice and big room, all staffs were very helpful and friendly.
