An amazing hostel with great activities in (dinners, yoga) and out (cave dinner, hikes, flamenco) of the hostel. Awesome staff and like minded fellow travellers. One of the best in 6 months of wanderlust

Excellent place, I was double booked in my room and arrived late, when reception was already closed. I phoned the out of hours number and Marco, answered and immediately saw to it that me and my friend had beds arranged. Jaime was who received me and showed me to my room. excellent treatment and amazing experience given the circumstances. HIGHLY RECOMMED THIS PLACE!
An amazing place to stay

El Granado is by far the best hostel I've stayed in, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It was very clean and definitely felt like home from home. I would totally recommebd El Granado as a place to stay if you're ever visiting Granada.

Everything was great. The only drawback was no elevator.

Location, location, location

When we checked in we were given great information on things to do in Granada, circled on a map with directions on how to get there, what time, etc. The location was outstanding. The cathedral was easy to walk to and parking -- at a preferential rate for El Granado guests -- was REALLY close. We also appreciated being able to drop off our luggage early. So, to sum it up, very comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price, very helpful staff and, best of all: location, location, location.
Perfect

Beautiful hostel, we stayed in the penthouse studio which was huge with a large sunny roof terrace. The staff were very friendly and the hostel was very conveniently located for everything in Granada, but was still lovely and peaceful. The studio was well equipped with a huge fridge, full hob, microwave and lots of pots and pans etc.

The apartment was absolutely perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better setup. If there was anything I would change it would be to have someone on the property in the night to shush people partying in the street right below the windows at 3am. Only happened one night out of four though.

they are a hostel but have 2 or 3 apartments in the top floor. we stayed in one of them and it was very cute an comfy. The only thing that you need to consider is that they don't have elevator ( ince you have older people, young children or big luggage with you. lovely and helpful staff. Location can't be better!
Meh

This hostel is about convenience and nothing more. They lock the only common area at midnight and you're only left to be in your room, there's even a light timer on the outside foyer to keep you out (save energy). I also got bug bites, which I'll be emailing the hostel directly about for future travellers. Great location, not a great hostel to hang out and meet people
A great find!

We stayed in one of El Granado's apartments and absolutely loved it! We arrived before normal check in hours hoping to leave our bags for a few hours, the staff member who greeted us was very kind and let us into the apartment early. The room (apartment style) was really nice and came with great wifi, a kitchen (with pots/pans/dishes/silverware all included), nice beds (3 including the couch), and a very nice shower. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Granada!

Characterful hotel convenient for city sights

The building and the rooms are full of character. Check-in was quick and easy and we were given loads of helpful advice for our stay in Granada. The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Everything worked just fine and it was great to be able to make a cup of tea. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on that. Our only problem was noise from the street, which is outside of the hotel's control. The hotel itself was quiet as was the local area - which is residential - most of the time. It just seems that everyone who had been out for a night on the town chose to walk down the street talking (or singing) as loudly as possible. I would add that we experienced the same problem at other city centre hotels on our trip. As we live in rural Norfolk I guess we're just not used to city life!
Adequate, quiet rooms, some unpleasant staff

One of the employees was very friendly and helped me calm down when I lost my ticket to the Alhambra, gave me advice on how to get another one. However, the bedrooms should be able to be opened from inside without the key... One of the other girls in my hostel room locked me inside the room when she left & I couldn't find my own key. I called reception asking for help & another employee answered but he seemed pretty unconcerned. He said he'd call me back & hung up. 10 minutes later I found my key & called reception to let them know & the same person answered, he hadn't left his chair! He didn't even remember what I was talking about! & then he said oh right okay and hung up. I think if a guest is locked inside a room, you should be a bit more urgent to help! He also got angry at me the next day after I checked out, for using the kitchen to make a quick lunch to take with me (because my train was not for another 12 hours). Apart from that, the hostel was pretty quiet although I think it was a bit expensive for what it was. But that seems to be true for all hostels.
A Hostel but my room felt like a hotel

I was absolutely delighted with my room and bathroom. Clean as clean could be and had everything I needed. Think snug, perfectly appointed Ikea quality. It was delightful. The staff were very helpful and put me at ease about my inability to speak Spanish. The optional breakfast was good quality. Altogether delighted with my stay and would certainly return.
