The best resort in bentota

I am here after a gap of 5 years. Nothing has changed. The rooms, pool, food and the staff in particular had been excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for any one planning to bentota.

Rooms are very far from the amenities

Rooms were provided very far. Be ready to walk, walak, walk. From the amenities. At night the property is very dark and feels scary. Spa was closed during our stay. Swimming pool though it is big but average. Food was average. Beach during the sunset is good.

Great location, well maintained property with a nice large swimming pool and a private beach. Great food spread at the buffet that appeals to both young and old, brilliant place to have a relaxed time out.

Our experience was annoying. Service was poor for both dinner at restaurant and morning buffet. Place was crowded and staff was unhelpful. They seem to be greatly understaffed at the moment. Did not feel like a luxurious experience at all.

Please don't stay at this property. It's run down and not maintained very well. The pool is terribly dirty and the beach adjacent to the property isn't a private beach, making it impossible to enjoy there. The property had a strike the day we arrived so not much staff either.

Good resort- everything great except saline water for bathing and cleaning

Hotel is great only we felt the water inside room for brushing and bathing couldn't have been salty. It was unbearable. Breakfast and dinner was outstanding.

Great location and food

We were traveling with our 12 years old and looking for a beach destination and Cinnamon Bey was the perfect resort. It’s situated right on the beach and has a beautiful well maintained property with multiple food options. We had a ocean view room however that hardly mattered as the best views of the ocean are from the beach next to it. Food at the Bufe Tandoor and Fire restaurants were great. We enjoyed home made ice cream at ICE with live music and DJ's each evening. The bartenders at ICE were really lively and kind.

Far from professional. Holiday nightmare

Delay in check-in. The booked category room not given. Room was given at 5 pm after three hours of wait. Instead of a double bed, they gave a twin bed. Instead of ocean view ground floor room. Reception staff kept staying only dinner option. We had to show a print copy of booking and get some senior sort out after half an hour. Hairdryer not working, housekeeping took it for repair did not return it till we checked out. Long queues for check out. The experience was far from any acceptable level. Will inform friends to keep away from this hotel.

It's a good property but the hotel service is terribly poor. They do not pick up calls for hours and then give irresponsible answers. We had a total of 5 rooms booked with 10 people staying and to the surprise, every single person complained about hotel guys not picking up calls. They did not bring water bottles in rooms even after multiple reminders. We had to bring bottles daily from outside shops. Room service is terrible too. Very fewer options and slowest possible service. Charged extra for early check-in.
