The property is on a hill and possibly the best location in kandy. The interiors are classy and the staff is very courteous. The hospitality at the The Grand Kandyan Hotel blew us off. One of us forgot our mobile in the restaurant and the staff took one complete hour trying to locate us to return it. We had dinner once and breakfast twice - both worked very well. Our begining at srilanka vacation could not have been better

You get complimentary wine, fair amount of tv channels, well mannered staffs and has many tourist spots nearby with access to many shops. As the name suggests, this The Grand Kandyan Hotel was really grand! Not only the interiors, but even the service was also great. We were booked for a room with lobby view but on request they upgraded our room to the topmost floor with view of the town. The breakfast and the dinner buffet spread was quite luxurious. Overall had a great stay.
