Disappointing!
Rated 1.0 by Mansie Chaudhary . Solo Traveller . Aug 25, 2024
The location is good for tourists to walk around and the station is just 200mts away but the hotel stay was disappointing. Tiny, dirty rooms with no one to even carry your bags to the room. Had to drag my luggage through the tiny corridors which had just enough space for one suitcase from wall to wall. The bathroom basin didn't drain and even after complaining, nobody bothered to come up and take care of it. The headboard had a weird mold like growth which bothered me a lot. While london is other wise a clean city, particularly the south kensington area - there was lint and dust flying in the room. The bathroom was so tiny that you can stand in the shower but can't move your arms around. Overall, it wasn't worth the price i paid. Also, the food at the restaurant was just average but highly overpriced.

Horrifically claustrophobic, unclean carpets, obscenely Overpriced.

I just checked into the Radisson Blu Vanderbilt in London, and my experience was appalling. I was ripped off to the tune for a two-night stay in a room barely larger than a closet, measuring around 7 feet by 14 feet, including the bathroom. This is disgraceful for a supposed luxury hotel. The booking advertised the room as 129 sq ft. In reality, it is a claustrophobic 98 sq ft at best, including the bathroom. This blatant lie is unacceptable, especially from a chain like Radisson Blu. I had a cheaper option at half the price for a 100 sq ft room but chose to pay extra for a supposedly larger room, only to be deceived and humiliated with this pitiful excuse of accommodation. To add insult to injury, the carpet is filthy and full of allergens, making my stay an absolute nightmare. If you are a solo traveler, avoid this hotel at all costs. They blatantly cheat you by advertising larger rooms than they actually provide. I expected much better from Radisson Blu, but instead, I am subjected to a horrific experience. This hotel is a disgrace and should be ashamed of their deceitful practices.

A nice short stay in the center of London

It was a small but very well equipped room. The Nespresso coffee machine was a very elegant touch. Very close to to the gloucester Road underground Station (on Piccadilly line) and many good restaurants, cafes and fast food joint. Overall a good experience.
