richard.familyDec 08, 2024 Well overdue for an overhaul. Great location and staff, but the hotel itself probably hasn’t been updated since the 1990’s. Carpet is well worn and permanently stained. Beds are awful and definitely well used. For the money, I recommend a newer hotel in the area. This one has been neglected for years, relying strictly on its great location.
Fun, downtown location…nice staff,friendly and pleasant…attractive, big room …nice bathroom…interesting art…glad we chose it!

Overall my stay was really nice. The staff is really nice and attentive and the property/room was beautiful. My only complaint is how noisy it is at night. I got woke up multiple times at night and hear cars driving, homeless people talking and fighting, etc. However, that alone wouldn’t deter me from ever staying again.

william.friendsNov 16, 2024 The room I booked was not available, so I got downgraded. They said listings and pictures on the Internet were not right, and it isn't there fault. Valet left car in the street with flashers on for half an hour. Very strange experience for a nice hotel.

A man was in our room when we checked in said he was checking to make sure our room was clean??? At 5PM??? That is a little odd???
No regular bartender.
Out of coffee in the AM. Only decaf.
People were courteous and good just seemed like it was an off week.
Everyone was very friendly, and the accommodations were very clean.
A delightful historical hotel with a spacious light filled and charming bedroom. Staff were fantastic
Paid for upgraded “signature” room but staff put us in the smaller room

Valet parking in front of building was not clearly marked and I drove around the block 3 or 4 times and had to call to figure out how to park and check in.
Easy walking between shops, restaurants, and entertainment in the center of historic downtown.
Not a secure choice for a female traveller.
No security at this downtown hotel! As a woman travelling alone on business I was shocked to find the lobby unmanned with elevators and floors anyone could access. Staff was nice but disorganised. Car parking was overpriced and inconvenient. Room was dark and old and smelled musty. Sheets did not smell fresh. Dirty windows. Breakfast was just yogurt and muffins and the bar/ restaurant was closed. A homeless person came in while I was waiting to check out, plugged in a cell phone then left. Clearly this hotel is not aware of the need for guest safety because I felt that anyone could have come in and roamed around.
paula.partnerOct 15, 2024 The hotel called and told us a room was available but when we arrived it was not. We did not get into a room until after 4:00 even though we were called at 2:30. We were also double charged for parking but the person working could not correct the issue, I had to call and get someone else to fix it. The hotel is in a great location, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
