an amazing boutique hotel

Although we only stopped the one night (we were breaking our journey) we had a wonderful stay. Charming and friendly owners, we arrived a little later than plan but had the most delicious meal in the restaurant. We'll certainly be booking here again the next time we are in the region.
OK but not great

Hotel was mostly OK - but there was nobody there to check us in at time stated, we heard other guests complain about the same thing the next day. Can't pick up WiFi in all of the rooms, and check out seemed to take ages. Really this is not a bad choice by any means, but there is better to be had in the area.
Surprisingly pleasant

Stayed for one night needing a bed for a local sporting event. Surprisingly nice and good value.
A great little hotel, 1h30 from Clais

Only one night prior to returning to the UK via Calais. Nice little hotel with a lovely restaurant - we enjoyed our evening meal there, which was delicious. We had a family suite, which was spacious and very comfortable. The proprietor is a very friendly and service focussed chap from Belgium. We would return without hesitation.

Only spent one night, but would be a pleasure to spend more. Good restaurant and breakfast. Impressive location in a small town.

Lovely hotel beside the abbey, Bed had hard mattress and room a bit noisy as backed on to road. But beautiful hotel.
Perfect French Weekend

Husband baby and I had a lovely stay in the two bedroom apartment. Has basic kitchen facilities which made traveling with an infant that much easier. Huge amount of space for spreading out and moving about (especially for the little legs constantly running about). We ate in the restaurant one night and food was great, breakfast was lovely every morning with fresh croissants and fresh squeezed juices (makes such a difference!) lovely dining room. We're hoping to be back in a few weeks again. The town is beautiful; small and sleepy but with the best patisserie we found anywhere, charcuterie, bank, pharmacy etc- the stuff you need and want.
An interesting venue next to the church

A friendly welcome and a very clean room with many unexpected facilities like dressing gowns! The beds were very comfortable and a good night was had. We ate locally in the evening - more hearty food than fine dining but tasty - this is northern France. Breakfast in the hotel's garden room was good - lovely croissants! but more expensive than we normally find. The décor throughout was very clean.
St Riquire

Lovely small hotel in the town Square of St Riquier next to the Abbey. Marc the owner speaks flute English so communication was not a problem. We had a excellent dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning which was nice. We will stay again if in this region of France.

Stayed 1 night while travelling back to Calais. We were quoted £70 + local taxes and were to pay when we checked out. It was booked as a dog friendly hotel and although the lady who booked us in seemed dog friendly the gentleman who I presume is the owner seemed not only anti dogs but also anti people. In the morning I went downstairs to take the dogs out and the owner tried to show me the breakfast room. I explained in French that the dogs needed to go out and he seemed reluctant to let me go out 'because of the bad weather'. When I went out into the square he came and stood by the door smoking and watching me. I felt as if he thought we were going to leave without paying even though my husband was still in the hotel. He was really very rude. We DID say on arrival that we would have breakfast but in the morning we did not have time to eat as we needed to get to the Channel Tunnel and the weather was atrocious so we needed to take more time for the drive. We were still charged for the breakfast but it was more his attitude that annoyed me than the charge. NOT a friendly place to stay.
Better than average

A comfortable stop on our way north with a delightful restaurant across the square. The Abbey is well worth visiting and very handy!
Lovely venue

We had a lovely stay at Abbatis Villa Hôtel Jean de Bruges, very friendly service. Our only gripe being that we arrived shortly before 8pm and there were not any restaurants / cafes open to get a bite to eat so we went without. We were leaving early the following morning and we had a lovely breakfast. Stunning view from our room!

Very comfortable hotel which is family run. Very friendly staff. Traditional French cuisine. Would revisit if in area again.

We were the only guests staying, but it was still no trouble to make us breakfast! Would stay again
a unique building in a stunning location

This is a small, comfortable, modern hotel in a wonderful ancient building, next to a medieval abbey, off the quiet town square of a traditional french town. Despite arriving very late, we were made to feel welcome and enjoyed our one night in the clean room. It was just the interesting stop we needed halfway between Calais and Paris.
Convenient stop between Paris and Calais

After calling ahead to let the hotel know we'd be arriving late, I was surprised to be cut off because the owner was preparing drinks. After another call the complicated entry process was explained. When we found the hotel we managed to get in, and one of us had to stay inside while I ferried bags from the car, as the only way in is by intercom to the owner out of hours. I'd booked a twin room, but we had a double, and two of the bathroom fitments were hanging down from the wall. Decor was pleasant but simple for the price, and the pillows consist of small pieces of foam that compress after a short time and don't give very much support. knowing in advance that the breakfast was poor and overpriced, we declined, although we were asked twice. Checkout was very businesslike and not at all friendly, much like the previous night's telephone calls. In all, the hotel looks lovely from outside, has potential to be great, but is overpriced for what is mostly ordinary accommodation and the owner gives the impression of being in it for the profit instead of providing a pleasant experience. If you want breakfast, there's a great Boulangerie and cafe 50m away that are a bargain!
