Nice hotel in a very good location. The pictures do not do the hotel justice. I thought it was nicer than what you see in pictures.

This is possible the worst hotel experience I have had in my 56 years. Not only was the bed about 10-15 years old (the sofa was more comfortable.), there was peeling paint in the bathroom on the window sill where we suppose to place our towels/shaving kits; there was exposed wires, the night lamps were broken & taped together with scotch tape, the sink was clogged. Due to COVID-19, the great breakfast advertised was curtailed (understandably as all hotels are doing) but their idea was to give you orange drink, a prepackaged meat stick, a granola bar); no coffee, no hot water nothing. I had to pay about 15euro for two coffees and a two croissant across the street. This is not a 3-star hotel--it is a 1-star hotel. If you are a college kid looking for cheap place for you and your friend, it is fine; for the rest of us, there are better properties in Berlin. Most importantly, the hotel front desk was not there in the morning, and when I came back, they could not fix the problems, and the manager was only available by email (from their front desk staff). This probably should have an inspection by the Berlin Use & Occupancy/Hotel license department for fire code and general health violations. -Lastly, it was so bad, I moved my family out after one night and requested my money back for the last three days of the stay. The management said no. I have never left a hotel before in my life. Nor was Travelocity helpful in resolving this dispute--Very unlike previous experiences.

Excellent location, we walked to Bandanburg Gate , many restaurants nearby. Bomb shelter across the street.Older building, but was clean and sufficient for our needs.Breakfast was good. Very good value for the price!
Closer to center.

We travelled around Berlin.

the room was small but warm, and this hotel is very central.my one real gripe would be the bed, which was very hard indeed- not conducive to a good night's sleep, especially after a busy day.

Hotel Amelie is very centrally located. The staffs are helpful and rooms are very clean. It would be nice if there is a kettle and coffee and tea facility in the room and that the room is slightly bigger. Wifi is not very reliable. Breakfast was modest.
Solo 3day Berlin trip

Good location, transport network not to far away.bike hire available. Quiet nights sleep.helpful staff.a selection of nightlife down by the river.

Room was clean and spacious, breakfast was good, and location was great. The only thing that was terrible was the "free wifi". It didn't reach my room, and when I used it in the lobby it was slow and would constantly drop connection. As I was in town for a conference and needed to get work done, this was a huge problem, but if you are around just for touring and don't care, this is a decent enough place to stay.
Average hotel, but poor wifi

Stated to have free wifi everywhere within hotel when the room was booked through your website, but: 1) reception staff denied the offer. We manage to have free wifi after showing paper confirmation document to her 2) even though wifi could be assessed in our room, lobby or dining area or reception, highly unstable & always disconnected.
Cozy hotel, good location

I stayed two days at this hotel. Tiny typical european hotel, but clean & cozy room. Breakfast was good. Location was good to go touring in berlin. close to bahnhof/hauptbahnhof.
Very basic hotel

Very basic hotel in good location. Rooms are located in different building, so you have to go out to get to the reception and also to get to breakfast area. My bathroom was outside the room and I had an extra key to access it. It wasn't expensive, but it's very very simple!
Great Budget Hotel

This hotel has two buildings. We stayed in the one next door to the main facility. I requested two twins and received a mini apartment. Two separate bedrooms with sinks and a shared bathroom. Very clean. Great breakfast and helpful staff. Location close to main station, river and nightlife. Highly recommend it.
Location-Good, Facility-OK, Staff-Disappointing

Location was great. Twenty minutes from Train station, Gate, and Reichstadt. Fredrickstrasse and dining close by. Facility was adequately comfortable and clean. Staff was disappointing. Had a booking issue and ended up paying twice for the room. Obvious mistake that they claimed they would look into, only to be double billed at check out.
Good Stopover place

We arrived late in the evening to book in. No problems as the desk was still manned despite it being a small family establishment. Room was next door in a rambling old apartment block. The room was clean, but I could imagine in the winter it might be a bit cold. As we were catching the train early the next day down to Prague we did not venture out so don't know what the vicinity was like round the hotel. The breakfast was a basic contintental breakfast.
excellent location, clean but basic, good deal for the price

Arrived late, almost 22:00; they were waiting for us, in the room within minutes. Breakfast was fine, all you wanted and typically German. Staff was friendly and pleasant but not very aware of tourist information. Internet was very weak and inconsistent, not worth 5 euro per day fee. The location was excellent, in the center of Berlin, a very short walk to the Spree river, good affordable restaurants, small store, and Friedrichstrasse Bahnhof. Room was small but adequate. Street noise was loud with windows open; quiet when closed; No AC. I would definitely return. A good hotel for the price.
Small room, but great location

Nice breakfast, kind and helpful staff, the room was a bit small and had a shared bathroom, but for the price it seems reasonable.
Does the job!

Room was clean and comfortable; felt more like an residential apartment. Staff were friendly and helpful, though communication between them was slightly lacking - we would be agreed something by one member of staff, only to find the next member of staff knew nothing about it. Breakfast buffet was perfunctory but good - plenty to choose from. Location is great. Would have no qualms with staying there again. Thoroughly recommended to the non-fussy traveller.
Charmed by this hotel

My daughter and I were charmed by this hotel. Spotlessly clean, pleasant staff, excellent location. Breakfast was tasty, filling, and a wide variety of food was available. Easy walking distance to Museum Island. The WWII bomb shelter hulking across the street is a reminder of how far Berlin has come since the war.
Excellent hotel and location

We had a great time in this lovely little hotel. Staff very attentive, lovely breakfast and large and very comfortable room and just around the corner from Friedrickstrasse and easy to get to from the U station. A shame there is no wifi but no great drama as there are so many places where you can get wifi when you stop for coffee. We would totally recommend this place!
PTB Boys Weekend Away - Hertha v Duisburg

The Hotel was perfect for a boys weekend away as it had all we required - Comfortable Rooms and a Good Breakfast. It was also perfect as it was close to The Brandenburg Gate and other tourist attractions, The U Bahn and Pubs and Restaurants. I would certainly visit this Hotel again anytime I stay in Berlin and would recommend it to Single Travellers and also Groups of people.
