foram.family_with_childrenAug 19, 2024 One of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed. Very clean and spacious rooms. The staffs (the owner’s son and his wife) made us feel like we were at home. The breakfast buffet (included with the hotel price) was fabulous. We only wish that we were in the area for longer than just one night, so that we could stay there longer to enjoy the hotel and the staffs. We definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place near the Neuschwanstein Castle or just want to enjoy that part of Germany.

The family that runs this property are the MOST HOSPITABLE, HELPFUL you will ever encounter! Perfect location to explore Bavaria, offers everything a small group could possibly need. Can't say enough good things about this gem!
A Bavarian gem in the heart of Marktoberdorf.
Once in a while you find a place that is comfortable and elegant at the same time. The owners and staff have created a gem in the Allgau and this place also works as an excellent base camp for many adventures. Our stay was way too short.

Our stay here was wonderful from the moment of booking. The customer service was some of the best we have ever had in 3 years while living in Germany! Martin, Gabby, Nichole, and the whole staff were wonderful for checkin, drinks, dinner, and throughout our entire stay. We highly recommend this friendly family owned hotel, restaurant, and cafe for any trip to Bavaria. Great value for the price and close location for a quick drive to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. We would love to come back!
Good hotel, with a nice bakery
The hotel was good, but the breakfast was a bit chaotic in these covid times ... I got a table from the waitress, and when I got up to get food, someone else had taken my spot.
It also seemed that everyone of the whole hotel was there at the same time to get breakfast (pretty full room unfortunately.)
Further nothing to remark, but a decent hotel (I think a nice stay in summer times)
Hard to Beat On Many Levels
The Greinwald is my first choice. Why? The Deluxe rooms are big, clean, and have comfortable chairs / sofas to sit on. The beds are comfortable to sleep on. The place is quiet. The owners and their staff are personable and helpful.
We had a fantastic weekend staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The café downstairs was great for cakes and treats.
Will definitely stay here again.
Hotel Greinwald -Another Excellent, Enjoyable Stay
I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions for business. I've enjoyed every stay, the rooms are nice and spacious and the staff very friendly and always ready to help. Food is good for both breakfast and on the occasions where I have eaten in the evening at the hotel.
The Little Gem in Marktoberdorf
A great family run hotel, cafe, and restaurant. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, there are comfortable enough chairs to sit in...I particularly like the people and the friendly service. Regarding the service, it is worth mentioning that sometimes it is necessary to wait (e.g. at checkin and checkout time). Have stayed here several times, and look forward to my next stay.
Pleasant, but not as advertised.
Overall, the stay was pleasant, and rooms were comfortable. Very friendly staff.
However, my room was not refurbished as the images suggest. Instead, very dated, and the double bed was a different height either side with a lump in the middle.
Also, I believe we did not get the rooms as ordered. They seemed more like ‘comfort doubles’ instead of the ‘deluxe doubles’ that were purchased.
