Deceptive pictures and property not a maldives standard

The resort is very near to airport and right across male city, so this is not a place if you want a peaceful getaway. The beach pictures were pretty deceptive as you see the buildings, port and garbage dump.

The stay itself was great with housekeeping being the star. The restaurants and other services were top notch too. But given it's proximity to the male airport, you don't get a very good view of the ocean and can see lot of construction and traffic movement around the resort. And given that there are some excellent resort which provide the much sought after exclusivity and peace, i would not recommend sheraton maldives if you are seeking those.

The property is beautiful matched with ultra professional and polite staff. We stayed in both water bungalow and cottage and each has its own charm. Tourists travel-ling with small kids or taste for indian cuisine must chose this property.

Problem at the reception desk

The authorities at the reception are rude and the manager doesn’t coordinate well. I wanted to talk to the manager but he never showed up

The property is very close to male city, at airport they have c16-17 as there counter, an executive shall be available to take you to ferry which takes you to island, only basic problem is hotel doesn’t respond to calls much of the time, also the ferry management team is many times not available in counter, hence before hand check and move all things accordingly, the island is a great place to stay, good beach area, water side is clean, rooms have super views, book with them the ocean villa, or beach view villa with pool, if you are travel-ling with kids, it has stunning views and facilities, don’t go for water villa if you are with kids, highly unsafe during high tide and night times as water level is high, has plenty of options in restaurants, from indian, to continental or you name it they get it, all chefs make sure your food is always served fresh well cooked and is according to your taste, and matches your expectations, they have buggy and cycles to move around, have limited water activities, but they should add few more like horse rides or kids excursions, slightly on costly side if you consider your pocket side better be on full board meal plan, try dolphin tours it’s worth, make sure you double check the checkout invoice as mine had multiple things double charged, hence clarify, you get $60 credit each adult when you dine in paid restaurants and the same is discounted on your invoice, ferry is free transfers, they have multiple programs for day to day basis hence check out daily schedule, photo shoot is just spending more money stuff don’t get involved, rather spend on water sports, all in all luxury is there, island has the positive energy, relax enjoy be smart

It was a pleasant stay. Food was very good. All beach activities are within resort and awesome. Very ideal for snorkeling even you don't know swimming as water us shallow and you can wear life jacket.

Closest proximity to airport is help full for transfers. Stayed at cottages and ocean villas. And we loved the cottages due to its direct access to the beach were you can snorkel. Loved the snorkeling lessons and the kayaking.

We had a great experience staying at the sheraton resort. The hospitality from the staff there is exceptionally commendable; they made sure we made the best out of this trip and made us feel at home at the same time. Would definitely stay here again the next time i visit maldives!
