I wish to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the thaala bentola booking. Upon arrival, i was forced to wait at least two hours before receiving any information, only to be informed that my reservation was not found and check-in was impossible. After a significant dispute, it took an additional 30 minutes to locate the booking. The hotel then offered a downgrade to an inferior property 3 kilometers from the original location, despite my prepayment. I request a thorough investigation into this matter. This experience severely impacted my vacation and raises serious concerns about the quality control of makemytrip, a reputable travel agency.

My father in law who was travel-ling with me to srilanka, suffered a heart attack in kandy and had to be admitted in national hospital kandy. I requested for a medical emergency cancellation for the booking in bentota, submitting all documents of hospital admission and response i get is last minute bookings not cancelled. I mean who knows when will such medical emergency happen. I'm a platinum member of make my trip and this is their response in crisis situation.

Wonderful property, right on the beach. Pristine waters at the beach. Breakfast was a good spread. Lovely bar set up. We liked the cultural program and the beach party they did in the evng during our stay. The entire property is done artistically.

Nice beachfront property with deluxe rooms big size and 2 clean, big swimming pool. Food for vegetarian was average. Room service was slow. If you are beach lover and want relaxation then go for this property.

A lovely, huge property directly infront of bentota beach where you can chill and enjoy with friends and family. Outstanding when it comes to room service and cleanliness. It was raining most of the day during our stay but the staff made sure the property was clean at all times. Definitely a place worth going back.

I was floored with the welcome my group got when we first entered the reception at thaala. Very kind and hospitable staff with whom we chatted to while experiencing the amazing ventilation they have in that area. Shortly after, we were escorted to our room. The room fell short of my expectations especially after seeing the exterior. It wasn’t the worst but it just didn’t give me the ‘wow’ ‘that’s amazing’ experience. I noticed after observing very closely that the walls, fittings, etc were a bit worn down. I also noticed that i didn’t have any bath robe or slippers, and some of the bathroom amenities like shampoo/ conditioner was not there. I had to ask for it all. The overall service was just very slow. I’m not sure if it was a communication thing but i felt like i had to ask atleast 4-5 times to get anything done. There was an event happening on one of the evenings and i patty evening left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth because everything that the staff could do wrong they did. Besides that it was a relatively pleasant stay

A fabulous choice. Only 75 room resort - so peace, privacy and space is maintained at all times. Staff are very courteous and the property is on the beach. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, then this is the place to be.

The property is well situated with direct access to the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Budget property among-st cinnamon and taj surrounding it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue is if you are looking for indian food, the chef, claimed to be hired from taj does not understand indian food at all and mentioned he cannot prepare exactly the same way. During our stay at thaala, we had visited taj bentota ( 750m away) for lunch for indian food and chef there understood the requirements perfectly. Something the restaurant can improve upon with increasing indian visitors there.

A big let down- stay at thaala bentota

For a property, which is being presented as a luxury resort on your platform, the stay experience was nowhere close to even a 3-star hotel. The rooms were moist n smelly, there was muddy water coming from the bathroom faucets and we even spotted cockroaches in the sitting area. When we informed this matter to the front desk, they just took it very casually as a regular input and told us someone would attend to it, which kind of implies that this is a routine occurrence for them. Utterly disappointing
