We stayed in this hotel and had high hopes. It looked very cute and cozy. We checked in with no problem. The problems started when we got to our room, it smelled like mold, the towels smelled bad too. I asked for the room to be cleaned and it was not. Requested clean towels that never came. Requested to check out 1hr later to accommodate our inconveniences and was told they would forward the request to the appropriate department and would let us know and never got an answer. Will not stay here. Plus, parking in the area was a challenge too. Also, they have resort fees that are not worth it.

Meridian Hotel was such a bad experience, all I wanted was a simple credit or some kind of accommodation because I broke my leg and couldn’t go to the trip any more. After I tried to talk to someone they just told me they can’t do anything about it and ignored me. They even blocked my phone number. I can prove this because I called using my phone and it would hang up after selecting an option but I did the same thing with my wife’s phone legitimately 2 seconds later and it went through. I understand it is a no refund policy but there should be some kind of reasoning. Horrible experience. And a waste of money.

I had really hit high expectations for my stay at this hotel but I was extremely disappointed by the lack of service I received during my stay. I planned this stay for my anniversary as a surprise for my husband and I was simply embarrassed. Our room was dusty and as soon as we took a shower and opened up the towels they were dirty with what looked like rust. I recorded the stains on my towels with my cellphone and messaged the chat line for new towels. I was told I would get fresh towels but to no avail. I cried from embarrassment because I felt like I let my husband down. I again messaged about towels at 8am and did not receive towels until after 5pm. The pool was filled with hot water and the fountain part of it was not working. Our pillows were not even a full pillow they were small squares. There was a couple across from us who fought every morning and would disturb our sleep. We were never told that the hotel locks the front door after a certain time and we would have to enter through a side door. We spent 30 min outside waiting for someone to let us in and my phone died I could not reach out to the hotel. Luckily the bartender was leavening and instructed us on how to find the side door. I would like a refund for my stay or some collateral for ruining what was suppose to be a romantic weekend.

This is not a 4-star hotel. It's not even a 4-star motel. It's very much DIY. To start, they stored our bags as we went to brunch before check-in time. When it was time to get our bags, a gentleman (who I take was the maintenance man) walked us to a moldy-smelling closet that had *someone else's* bags. It would've been literally that easy to take someone else's bags. Next, there were actual bugs in the room. I killed three, a friend of mine killed an ant that was crawling on the bed. Like, that's crazy. Additionally, it took four tries to get new towels and wash cloths after my original wash cloth had a hole that was growing. Well, the additional linens they brought were even worse: They were dirty. It looked like fresh dirt, not even quite a stain. It was disgusting. Finally, at around 11:30p one night, our toilet started making a really loud, high pitched humming noise that was keeping us awake. We called and the front desk person was both unhelpful and advised she was about to close the desk until the morning? What would we have done in the event of an emergency?? It's unclear. Anyways, I had to turn some knobs and fix the toilet myself. I wish Expedia allowed you to rate 0-stars. I deserve my money back. In fact, I couldn't be paid to stay here again.

When I arrived to the meridian and checked into my room I was baffled at my room looking freshly used with broken condom wrappers and used nut towels all over the room, I tried to get ahold of front desk but the only options they gave me was paying to upgrade my room or wait till 2pm THE NEXT DAY to get my room cleaned… all I expected was a clean room I shouldn’t have to pay extra to have that expectation met. It was after 11 pm my guess is the employees used the room before I arrived only thing that makes sense nobody was able to cancel my booking or refund me or even offer anything to make the situation right.

Pros: The room was nice, comfortable, fresh, with many windows and useful storage. The pool area is small (the pool is very small) but pleasant. The location is comfortably walkable, and not too touristy. Cons: The hotel isn't particularly welcoming. Staff are very hands-off (by the management's design). If you want to check in, you have to do it yourself (on your own phone, typing everything in manually). Need to leave your luggage? Take it to the closet yourself. The welcome message introducing the hotel is texted to your phone. Etc. They sent the "Ciao, please check out on time" message before I even arrived, and asked if I wanted room service the day I was leaving. Altogether a sad effort at automated hospitality.

Had to switch rooms due to very noisy neighbors. Then the new room didn’t lock that well, so I didn’t feel safe. The floor also had a film on it that felt dewy, and someone’s hair was on the shower wall.

Hotel is okay to stay at. The amenities are fine and what you’d expect since it’s on the cheaper side of hotels for the area. Unfortunately we found the hotel a bit dirty. The common areas were fine but we found a lot of stains on pillows, sheets, and towels. We stayed two nights and they only send housekeeping upon request. There were also some loud groups by the pool late into the night (3AM ) that kept us up, but at the end of the day it is Miami Beach. Overall it’s fine to stay here if you are looking to save a bit of money or just need to stay a night. I think we’ll look elsewhere for future visits.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was impressed by the overall experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, from the lobby to the rooms, which made my stay very comfortable. The location was in a calm and quiet area, perfect for relaxing after a busy day in the city. One downside, however, was the cleanliness of the towels in the bathroom. Unfortunately, they were not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. Despite this, the situation was handled well by the staff, who were excellent in answering my questions and addressing any concerns I had during my stay. Their attentiveness and professionalism really stood out. Overall, this hotel is a great choice if you're looking for a clean, peaceful place to stay in Miami, with a team that is ready to assist with any needs. We recently stayed here at The Meridian for our four days and three nights trip. I’m going to sum up my review with bullet points. -Complimentary bikes for two hours (first come first serve) -Excellent customer service (Luis was wonderful) -When we called about towels, the request was granted quickly. -Complimentary beach towels -Complimentary yoga -Guest have access to two beach chairs on the beach on 5th street. We added an umbrella and ended up staying on the beach for almost 4 hours. -Quiet location and clean room -Minutes walk from the beach -MiniBar on property. Quiet, intimate, and wonderful staff. -Music in the lobby was always on point. I caught myself singing to the tunes. -Easy drop off and pick up with Lyft/Uber -20 minutes from MIA -Great location with many food sports around that was easy to walk to. -Easy check in and out right on your phone. -Wonderful staff overall -Croissants in the lobby were delicious -Fresh cold water daily at little snack bar -You can tell it was a newly remodeled -Keyless entry. We loved the digital lock for our room -Guest were pretty chill (variety of ages) ***Every morning, we received a text message asking us about our stay and informing us of Al of the complimentary things they had available for us. 2nd time staying at this hotel and it’s still as good as last time. Luis at the front desk was efficient and friendly. All the staff I met have been nothing but welcoming. Pool was clean and quiet. The room might need a little repair/replacement but they are tiny issue which are basically non issue for me. For the price, staff, options for late check out (reasonable fee) and convenience of the location I will always make this hotel my first choice.

Pictures online fool you. Stayed in a room without balcony and as soon as you walk into the hallway you can smell the mold. The rooms dirty and infested with roaches and ants. Well for starters my arrival was 6:30am. I had requested early check in days prior but no response. Day of my arrival I kept calling the hotel to see about super early check in, no answer. Took a nap at the airport 8:30ish am decided to just show up. Luckily sweet Luis checked me in within the hour. I was super tired from flying redeye. Once settled in, dosed off then abruptly woke up to a couple (Man woman) opening my door. They stated they were given the room & code. Thank goodness I was dressed. They politely closed the door, I called the front desk right away & apparently the couple got the wrong floor per Luis. Luckily it wasn’t some creep with my room code busting in. The code remained the same through out my stay. And lastly the random charges of almost 2,000.00 during my stay. My bank notified me via email. Luis was able to resolve the issue and refund me back. (Still pending in my account). Minor improvements can be made. Other than this, remained positive & I enjoyed my stay, would definitely come back to stay here. I would suggest better locks or room key options for security safety purposes. Also, monitor or modify the billing system to avoid random overcharging guests. Read other reviews and appears to be an issue. Maybe an internal investigation perhaps.

The female staff at the service desk was less than helpful. She clearly did not want to be at work. No smile, no welcoming greeting,, just matter of fact and short with patience. The property was ok. A suitcase rack would be helpful inside the room. I was disappointed in the soap and shampoo, as they were adding water to the bottles to make it last longer.

Not what we expected from the Hotel .. very disappointed we had fruit flies in Room we asked the front desk to do something about it but no response so we lived with situation for 5 days .. we asked for extra towels couple of times .. and as usual no one did respond .,, there was only one room service person in the whole property that he tried to help thank to we ended having a clean room for one or two days.. won’t recommend it to my friends and family for sure ..

Checkin at 10.30pm took about 30min because the electronic key entry for the first room didn't work. Eventually they conceded and "upgraded" us. The new room had a balcony but the room smelt of mold - old building and humid climate, but not healthy... The stay was comfortable enough, but just not sure about that mold situation. Good location. I write few reviews. This one needed one. This is second stay. One pre-covid and one in July 2024. Since the first and the second stay, a change in management and ownership occurred. The place is now a youth hostel kind of feel. 1. Upon check in - while on Expedia VIP we were given the room on the first floor next to the bar - really could have been in the bar! garden music late in the night. We changed to a terrace suite on the 4th. The place was fine, the terrace was filthy. The place has seen better days, toilet is noisy, pillows lumpy, baseboards dirty. 2. You need to confirm one wants housekeeping - I did for every day. We got it once out of 4 nights. 3. Self Parking is a joke. Managed to get a card on the last night after a bit of an intervention - staff called her « husband » to share her card! turns out the staff was using the card personally! The card is the hotels card. VIP offers 30$ towards parking - tried to say it was only for the first night, showed her the Expedia conditions which said « during your stay ». I in the end paid the parking due to poor instructions - cost me 15$ (Publix on Le of) for the night… they charge 30$ so just go park there! The nice part is having two chairs at the beach which is an expensive spend if you plan to go every day of your stay. So in conclusion, hard pass, spoke with other guest with similar experiences. Clearly there is zero management there - only apologies! Hard pass.

First thing the pool is only 3ft and it’s super small. It was not giving what the pictures showed. The chair in the room was all stained and the hair dryer didn’t work but was in the room. Asked for housekeeping not once did they come the 5 days we stayed even after asking the manager. Mold on the curtain of the bathroom. Staff was friendly and location was nice. Just the room was dirty when we arrived and no housekeeping or clean towels. They also do an additional charge when you get there for bikes and towels. We only used the bikes 1 time they were always taken so paid for nothing.

I DO NOT recommend this hotel. While the check-in process was smooth and the front desk staff initially friendly, our experience quickly deteriorated. The bed sheets irritated both my girlfriend's and my skin, causing severe itching. The front desk suggested it was due to the detergent and offered to switch rooms, but the problem persisted. We endured an uncomfortable night and struggled to sleep. Basic amenities like shampoo and a hair dryer were missing from the room. It took four calls and multiple trips to the front desk before these items were finally delivered. The service was poor overall. The staff was inattentive, and the manager was repeatedly "10 minutes away" when we wanted to check out early due to these issues. This lack of professionalism was frustrating and unacceptable. Despite its convenient location, our stay at The Meridian Hotel was terrible. After moving to the nearby Urbanica Euclid, we had a pleasant and problem-free stay. Adding to our frustration, The Meridian Hotel charged us for three nights instead of the one night we actually stayed, without informing us of any early checkout penalties.

Never had the opportunity to stay at the hotel due to the extreme flooding in Miami this past week. I asked for a refund considering I did not cancel the reservations however the front desk or reservations team was unwilling to help. I never heard back from the reservation team and the front desk would constantly ignore my calls. By far the worst service.

Location was nice. But rooms were not sound proof, we didn’t get enough sleep for our early morning flight the next day. Needs more deep cleaning specially on the bathroom. Sheets has stain, coffee maker was broken and fridge is barely getting cold and receptionist girl was not welcoming when we checked in. But the housekeeping was polite.

Buyer Beware! We were told there was a shuttle from the airport, but that was not the case. This is a bare bones hotel that looks like a dorm room. A bed, desk, and wooden chair are the only furniture. There is no ice machine, and the internet was not working. There is no art work or pictures, just the white walls. When you add the transportation costs, you can afford to stay in a nicer hotel for the same money.

Not bad, not great. Pros: 1. Close to South Beach (walkable with lots of bus options) 2. Good for the price 3. Relatively new furniture Cons: 1. Not as glam as they seem in the photos. All the things they show in the photos are nicely touched up or slightly misleading. 2. Some staff members are very attentive, while others are not. The night staff gentleman was very helpful. 3. A bit cheap on amenities such as towels. We'd ask for new towels, and would get one or two at a time. No paper cup, coffee pod, and bottled water refills with house keeping unless you specifically ask. 4. All the furniture that you see in the photos are there, but carelessly scattered. Lacking some attention to detail, such as having an iron without an ironing board, having a single chair in a room with no other seating options, having a hair dryer with a cord that's too short for a close by mirror, etc. 5. Sub-par electronics: Old TV and less-than-cool fridge 6. Very poor soundproofing between rooms! You can hear EVERYTHING in the other rooms and the hallways.

Facility was nice and clean. The noise made sleeping very difficult. There is a bar attached to the hotel that began playing loud music around 8PM and didn't stop until 5AM. Aside from the music, bar patrons frequently walked through the courtyard yelling and screaming. Location is great and if you plan to party all night the hotel would be fine.

This hotel is falsely advertised as 4 stars but I have stayed in hostels better than this. Our group was extremely disappointed with the the cleanliness of the rooms and the unfriendly front desk receptionist. When we first walked in, the floors were covered in sand and dirt to the point where the bottom of our white socks and feet turned black. There was only 1 tiny trash can in the bathroom so we had to use our own cardboard box to hold trash. The white towels had black stains all over it like it was stepped on. There were only two towels in the room when our reservations had 3 guests booked. The shampoo and conditioner were not filled up before we arrived. We asked the front desk if they could bring up the toiletries asap. They said yes but never showed up. It gets worse - we found a TICK in one of our rooms. Our guests understandably decided to leave the hotel and book somewhere else the 2nd night and we alerted the front desk. The woman at the front desk responded in Spanish to her coworker “just change the sheets, these *b words* wouldn’t notice.” Funny enough, one of us speaks Spanish and caught her saying this. Our friend proceeded to repeat the issue in Spanish, and the receptionist replied that she would tell her manager to resolve it immediately. We never got an update the following days. There’s no manager to be found and they don’t pick up the phone. Would absolutely not recommend this hotel, when there’s so many better in the area.

Nothing to write home about, my experience here was average. This is a decent hotel for a brief stay. We had a good few nights but encountered some of the noise issues that others did on our last night, as noise travels through all of the walls. I dislike that they place the onus on the guest to “prebook” room cleanings, as a vacationer I like to think less, and not have to do more in terms of coordination. The pool was smaller than pictured.

Hotel was good for the price. Good location. Quiet and safe. Close to bus and trolley stops. Very walkable. The resort fees paid at the property could adds up a bit. I know it is listed but with tax and fees it was a tiny bit higher than expected. Love the options to pay a reasonable late check out fee so I could enjoy the beach one more morning. Didn’t get to check out the pool. Friendly helpful staff. Will stay again if the rate is still comparable to other options in the area. Def no regrets.
