Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu

We have stayed at this Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu during our recent tour to kathmandu. The Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu is near to popular destination like themes at a walkable distance. It is an old palace converted to a beautiful Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu with goood facilities. Wt-he staff is courteous and friendly. They also had an in-house restaurateur which can serve dinner and lunch on al-carte. We had our dinner there, although i am not impressed with there dishes served. Hotel need to improve there food quality. Breakfast buffet was also ok, doesn’t match a four star property buffet. Hotel also offer a swimming pool which is well maintained with a beautiful garden. There is a bar named kunti within Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu premises which is good place to spend evening.

It's a palace turned into a luxury Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu at the heart of the city of kathmandu. It gives an elegant look and reminds of those golden days when mighty ran-as were ruling. Inside staff is gentle and courteous. Service is quick and satisfactory. It has beautiful restraunt and bar. Also a big hall for parties and events. There are two halls for conferences. They are basically darbar hall. Food is good though menu is small. A front garden having a swimming pool will charge you. By and large an excellent Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu to stay with.

Shanker is a heritage property, conveniently located but the rooms are stuffy with not sufficient ventilation. Our room had a stale smell but on bringing it to notice of housekeeping, they took prompt action and tried to get rid of it by using room freshners etc. Breakfast buffet was good and had a good soread appealing to all palettes. In all, visit this Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu if you are fond of old world charm and history behind the architecture but if you are looking for contemporary luxuries then this property is not a fit for you

Got to stay in a royal residence property first time. And my Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu stay was as the word goes "royal" in its true sense. The staff are friendly & helpful. Would like to specially mention ram (kailash restaurant staff) who made my breakfast time absolutely delightful with his timely services. Went for spa services on my last day of stay & they went beyond their timings to accommodate me. Situated near the embassy area, its a great location. Certainly coming back & highly recommend.

My stay at Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu shankar was quite comfortable. On first day they gave me a room which i didn't like but at my request they changed to a rule on 7th floor which i used for next two nights and i was fine with it. The breakfast spread was very good. One night they served me dinner till as late as 10. 30 pm happily. So i think overall it was quite good. The property has a heritage building architecture and it is very well located. Compliments to all the hard working staff members.

You get your wow moment as soon as you enter the property. Hotel facade and lobby is very elegant and beautiful, definitely feels like a palace. Check in was smooth and service was prompt. We had a family room, size of the room was decent but you feel suffocated as there is no proper ventilation. Bathroom was cramped and bathtub was placed very high makes it extremely difficult for elderly persons, no exhaust in bathroom. Breakfast has very limited options and ok taste. Overall a good experience.

Location of the Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu is good, it's an old traditional style Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu, rooms are average, ventilation in room is a concern as too small window, washrooms are cramped, lobby is nice. Hotel staff is good, service is too bad as they take a minimum 1 hour to deliver in-room dining, the restaurant is in the basement so feel-good factor is missing, food variety is less. I would give 3/5 rating.

If you’re looking to stay near thamel in a quiet and safe area, Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu shank-er is the perfect choice. You can literally walk to all the popular streets in thamel and the bars and cafes aren’t too far either. Moreover, the property is beautiful, the staff is courteous, and food is pretty good too. Maybe, they need to take a look at their rate card for transfers to the airport - 2000 n pr for 6kms is a bit too much.

Hotel staff service cleanliness was good. But for vegetarian food options were very less even in big buffet morning breakfast

Nice clean Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu, renovation in process, certain rooms need renovation. Nice location, great lobby and facilities. Rooms are big but need a little makeover.

By saftey standards it was good, eooms were clean and hygienic. Washrooms were somewhat smaller as compared to room size but optimal as such. Food menu can be improved and n ouch choices were available. However market near by has ample options for ordering. Hotel gives old vintage vibes for which it is famous.

Hotel shank-er offers an unique experience that seamlessly blends tradional settings with contemporary ultra cool facilities. The management and staff are well trained and courteous with a keen desire to make your stay comfortable. The food at the restaurant is marvelous and could rival the best of best gourmets.

Good overall experience with friendly staff, good food. Improvement required in the gym area which is crunched and rooms in the fourth floor is disaster so one has to move upward of that floor. Room service is good.

Good location. Food is good but expensive

The Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu was very comfortable. Peaceful, very courteous staff. It is some what more expensive.
