Shangri La Hotel

I went to Kathmandu on 04/14 and stayed in the Shangri La Hotel for 2 nights. Overall i am very much satisfied with the stay. We took 2 interconnected rooms during our stay. The staff in the front desk and the house keeping guys are always available for any assistance. I wanted to call out Ms Rupa who assisted booking right from Day 1. I took my MIL who is a Sr Citizen and can't walk much. She got problems in getting into Toyota Hiace vehicle, and almost all the Shangri La Hotel staff helped her getting into the vehicle.. The restaurant and Bar looks pretty good. The room service is pretty quick too...

The Hotel is located in heart of the City. A very good ambience all over the places in the Hotel. A lovely open Garden and nice Garden view from Room Window. Amenities are very good. Garden restaurant is very nice. Friendly support staff. Seems it need refurbishment . . Don't forget to open the window to hear the morning lovely tunes of birds, a pleasant wake-up music .

Pleasant place to stay. Staff courteous travels informative. Breakfast good. Confusion about serving in the lawn area. Good people but understanding of English should be improved. More information to tourists should be provided. If possible indian food should be made available

Very good Shangri La Hotel with all amenities. Service was good. Hospitality was good. Rooms were good but bed was small in size considering family room. You can enjoy casino as well inside the Shangri La Hotel only which was nice. Overall good Shangri La Hotel to stay in

Room was small but OK. Swimming pool was very good. Garden was very good with full of flowers. We met miss Nepal world 2016 in a Shangri La Hotel. Breakfast was very good and Indian friendly. Location of Shangri La Hotel is good with casino. We enjoyed our stay.

Very good ambience and atmosphere. Very friendly and courteous staff specially the general manager Mr pant and their travel desk manager Mr Vijay. Always ready to help and have a good understanding of customer requirements. Value for money. Home away from home.

Both sides shuttle was free from airport to Shangri La Hotel. Room service, housekeeping was also good. Nice place to stay ... They also exchange only 100 indian rupees to nepali. Dinning area is wonderful with swimming pool aside. It is app. 6km from airport

Pretty much average experience. It's quite an old property. Very limited facilities. Although the lawn at the backside is quite spacious. But that is only if you are interested in spending your late evenings sitting at lawn and enjoying at cup of coffee.

Location and facility is good for relaxed holidays. Services are very good and staff is courteous. Food in the Shangri La Hotel restaurant is quite appetising ... However, rooms can be maintained better. Overall good experience for relaxation.

Not cool. Didn't liked. Very expensive and unnecessary spoiling the brand name.

Its a nice property, though a bit too old. I requested for a room facing their inner lawns which they obliged with. That is a beautiful sight outside one's room. Courteous team, smiling faces. Over all a good stay. I would go again if I visit Kathmandu.

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

Decent Shangri La Hotel situated next to the Kashi temple. Great location to stay for pilgrims. Walking distance of 5-10 mins to the temple and the river. They serve good indian food. Toilets can be maintained a little better. Overall decent stay.

I stayed here for one night and I seriously love the service thanks for making my stay comfortable
