Well located hotel that offers a great selection at breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful Our room was spacious with a balcony All major sites and beach are within walking distance Lots of nice bars and restaurants close by

Lovely hotel, very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort and very good value for money. Hot shower, comfy beds and so clean and nice. The only draw back was very difficult to park (no parking at Hotel) and one very noisy breakfast member of staff slamming plates and cutlery eager to finish breakfast both mornings at service half an hour before the end of service. Made breakfast a bit uncomfortable. The rest was excellent and would definitely return. Lovely Hotel and lovely staff otherwise. Definitely worth a visit and look forward to returning.

Hotel location was excellent..staff was very nice... On the downside , there's construction happening right next to hotel so be prepared to hear noise starting at 8am. The reviews about the water temperature changes in the shower is still happening. The roof top terrace and location is what sold me on the room. Over all i would return and recommend it Breakfastbuffet has goodchoices.

Stayed here on a weekend trip to Madeira. It is very centrally located just a few minutes walk to the main area of Funchal. Hotel was spotless, and breakfast was good. Exactly what i would expect from a 3 star hotel. We will stay here again.

Had a one night stopover befire our hotel. Very handy to downtown funchal, central, staff friendly & helpful..beautiful views at breakfast. Would stip again for one or 2 nights exploring funchal.

We spent 2 nights here which we really enjoyed. Its close to the old town with its many great restaurants and bars. We ate breakfasts here and they were very nice. We also enjoyed a few drinks on the roof terrace.

The accommodation was ok, would be better if the lavatory was chipped and there is a construction site next to it, meaning it was noisy during the day, and the shower was below par. However, the staff is friendly, there’s a great view from the rooftop, and location is ideal.

Hotel was in a great location with an amazing rooftop sitting area and restaurant. And that’s where the good news ends. The room was abhorrently loud, we felt like we were sleeping in the middle of the road. You can hear the neighbors talking, sneezing, snoring, and the traffic all day and night. The beds were uncomfortable, the shower water went from cold to lava, back to cold again every 10 seconds. Overall an uncomfortable couple of days.

Not much lighting in room, very dim and dull. No tea coffee making fascilities. toilet seat needed replacing. Toilet stuck behind door. Crappy shower curtain around a small shower basin. No shower shelf for shampoos/soaps. €120 a night is too much. Would only want to pay half that for that quality of the room.

Pros: - good value for money given its very central location, within walking distance from a lot of restaurants and shops - clean rooms - unpretentious breakfast with a great view from the restaurant - friendly staff Cons: - thin walls so it can get quite noisy (neighbours and traffic) - outdated rooms - decent mattress, but really poor quality pillows
