I was weary of all the bad reviews of this property… They were mostly about “bugs” and bad towels in the bathrooms. I’m from the south so I’m aware of what Palmetto bugs are - recommend you don’t stay here if they’re a problem for you - it’s to be expected. The towels did suck - we brought our own from home - not an issue. The problem I had was the fact we were told we’d get a QUEEN size bed for the bedroom and it was a FULL size bed. Mind you - we recently upgraded to a king bed and had a queen for 3 years prior. I called the front desk - lady did not say her name. I asked about the bed and if we were put into the wrong room - she says “it’s a queen bed” and I assured her it was not and it was too small to even be a queen. I asked if there was another room available with a queen bed. She just sat there silently - I said hello? She said “it’s a queen bed” so I ended the call. I even took a photo and measurements of the bed because I thought maybe I was crazy, but I wasn’t. We will not be back, mostly because the front desk rep tried to gaslight me into thinking I was crazy for knowing we didn’t get the queen bed as promised in the listing. The other staff (at check in/out) were super friendly.

The room advertised shows the beach but the room I was assigned was a distance from the beach. The pictures are misleading and false advertising.

Horrible, villa has a mildew smell. Carpet was filthy, second bedroom had bedbugs as well as other insects we refuse to let our daughter sleep in it after we noticed from the first night, so she slept on sofa bed rest of vacation. They refuse to switch us out so Now we have to return home and fumigate our luggage and clothing. They have laundry outside of your villa that you have to pay for separately. We been traveling to myrtle beach yearly sometimes twice a year since 2005 and never had any ssues with our stays until we tried ocean creek for the first time, this is what we get for trying something new. Worst experience ever!

Bare bones experience- minimal glasses, dishes; no amenities like tissues, paper towels, and had to go to reception to request bath towels. Bed was creaky and furnishings very old.

It was good. I forget coming to the south means bugs. We found 3 dead roaches in our room when we got there. Our room keys got turned off twice in the 4 days we were there. The office is not conveniently located for when this happens. Minimal dining options on property, which makes it hard with a toddler. We ordered a 1bdrm with a king bed. They "upgraded" us to a 2bdrm with a queen in one and twins in the other. Fine, but unnecessary.

Booked a 1 bedroom condo for a night through Expedia. When we arrived they didn’t have any left and up charged us for a 2 bedroom. When I realized what they did the receptionist argued with me that we booked a 2 bedroom condo. After a half hour of arguing with her she gave me a refund. The floors in the condo were so dirty. Sand dirt everywhere. Never again will we stay at this place and I hope this review deters others from staying.

We have stayed here several time and like the layout of the property. The main pool and convenience to Tanger and Barefoot Landing is our favorite about it. The condo we have stayed at leaves something to wish for.. the bed was way too soft, the Tv had some issues and while there is a kitchen area the counter place is literally non existent to prepare anything. Overall it is an OK unit

Beware of hidden charges! I booked our room through hotels.com and paid online at the time of booking only to be surprised with an additional $159 charge at check in for “resort fees”. The linens in the bath room were folded and displayed in a decorative manner and when I unfolded them for use I found that they were dirty. The toilet wobbled badly when we sat on it. Then we were attempted to leave our room the screen door was jammed and we had to call for maintenance to come fix it. I tried to call the front desk to report these issues and found that the phone in the room did not work. I called from my cell phone and reported all these issues and they said they would send maintenance to fix the door and that I was welcome to go to the front desk for new linens. If they were ok with using soiled linens, what else wasn’t cleaned properly? And the phone and door issues are definitely safety concerns. Overall a very disappointing stay for $361
