We liked it a lot. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, view of the ocean was absolutely amazing. Yes, we saw a bug in the room. Yes, there were maintenance issues. Yes, the garage has a bunch of jacks. But they looked stable. Bugs are an ongoing battle. Maintenance is hard in salty sea air because everything starts deteriorating as soon as it is replaced. I would stay here again- a good value.

They charge for parking. Had roaches in the room. Didn't sweep the floor or clean the balcony.

I booked a colleague into this hotel through Expedia. Upon arrival, my colleague discovered deplorable conditions at the facility and the room was untenable. He promptly returned the keys and informed the front desk. Front desk person was nice and made no attempt to resist the cancellation of the 2 night’s stay. Hotel was to refund the booking and never did. BEWARE

I booked the stay through Expedia, the information on the "resort" stated there was a restaurant and a bar on site. This was part of the reason I chose this hotel (not a resort). Only if you go to the website does it say the restaurant (which while looking through the closed windows looked like a snack bar) does it say seasonal. The "bar" a few chairs and a bar on the deck was closed most of the time we were there. I understand being ON the beach there will be wear and tear from the elements, there were broken parts of the building, and inside the building also had damage haphazardly repaired. The front desk clerk was abrupt and could have been more helpful. I asked about beach chairs. No there aren't any. Can I take a pool lounger to the beach. NO. You have a deposit, I can give you another deposit. I'm staying until Monday. No. I said if I buy a chair at a local store, I can't bring it on the plane it would cost more to check it than the cost of the chair. Sorry, no. Maybe you should go buy one. What, and then when I leave it here in the room you get to collect a brand new chair? (I didn't say that last part). Apparently asking about it annoyed her as my next interaction with her (day shift Friday and Saturday) when I asked if there were pool towels. The response I received was yes. That was it, nothing more. I then asked where they were. I received, I have them. Nothing more. Um, can I have two? Annoyed look and she went and got them.

People were friendly. Me and my wife went and there is only room service once every 3 days. They leave a broom and dust pan in each room to clean up sand. We stayed on the 11th floor the first night and 12th the second, neither rooms balcony porch light worked. Overall 4/5

Great view of the ocean-under construction which was not communicated before booking. New bathroom but very poor lighting-lamp holders were rusty-ironing board was rusty??Saw a few bugs running around in the bathroom.When I asked questions at the front desk local things-some of the staff couldn’t answer the questions stating they didn’t live near the hotel. Asked to use their fax to send one page and was told it was broken.

People at the front desk where very helpful and nice. Rooms could use a updated on furniture and appliances. But overall it was a good stay there. Great views of the ocean.

The night before we left (and after I booked) I went to reviews.....I'm sooo glad that I didn't read them first. We loved this hotel stay better than the other places we've stayed. We arrived early, the lady at the front desk was more than willing to greet us with the friendliest smile and I explained that I was aware of our early arrival but just wanted to see if we could go ahead and park and enjoy the ocean view till check in time. She said that she would check and if our room was ready we could go on up, to both of our surprise our room was ready......it was 11am and check-in time was suppose to be 4. We get to our room and first thing we see is how clean our room is and the view that was promised on the web site. It was very quiet and clean. If I was able to give more than 5 stars I would. I know that you can't please ppl all the time, usually I'm one of those ppl, but in this case I'm so thankful I didn't go by the bad reviews and cancel. We were there for only overnight but to be honest, When we visit Myrtle Beach again, I'm going to try to reserve at Sun N Sand. Thank you, Sun N Sand for a memorable stay. Thank you for all the review readers that read all the way through.

Unlike other reviews, I felt the check in staff was really working diligently and was quite friendly during check in. Check in does get extremely backed up though. $11 add on for parking just heads up. The cleanliness was POOR. I’m not sure sheets were changed. Bathroom shower floors were sticky. Extremely misleading photos. Everything has been ‘redone’ but if you never wipe anything down and sanitize then it defeats the purpose. Paint was poorly done and sand all over baseboards. I simply feel the photos were not what you are actually walking into.

Dirty, smells like old mop water, room was dirty. Hair in the sink and tub. Sheets had particles like hair. Pillow cases did not smell clean. Never coming back, even if its for free.
