Abad Brookside

We had a one night stay at Abad Brookside with my family and it was a really great experience. Rooms were spacious and very clean and hygienic as well as the whole resort has been maintained very well. Hats off to the staff. The staff was very polite friendly and ready to respond to all our needs. Breakfast was really good quality food and enough varieties when compared to the price charged for the stay. For dinner, we ordered a list of dishes from the menu and everything turned out to be really delicious. Though the menu comprises limited dishes but whatever served is of very good quality. The pool is being maintained continuously and the experience of walking beside the brook and through the property was amazing as well. Also, it's of 2 km drive from lakkidi main road to the resort for which the resort will send a 4 wheel if we don't want to bring our private vehicle through this Road. Overall I had a wonderful experience and would definitely visit again.

It was amazing experience. Room's other end facing natural stream that's unique. Dense, thick forest, natural landscape makes it heaven. Awesome food, helpful staff. From the moment you reach the spot, till you leave the Abad Brookside you will feel that you are in a different world altogether. The continuous water flow sound from the river flow nearby your room is something which i have never experienced anywhere. This is definitely one of a kind in our country. The location of stay was excellent but to travel till their is difficult. Abad doesn't mention anything about it. And the reception people also didn't call that they could provide jeep facility to pick up. We had to ask multiple times. And they are thinking before providing a jeep as well. Also, the location somewhere between mountains and their is no proper road. The reception people even mentioned that their are bysons and elephants in between which is dangerous if it's after 7pm that you reach the Abad Brookside. The food quantity was very less as per the rates and the taste also was average. The chicken steak was so bad that we ordered during our stay. Overall apart from all this issues i loved the resort location and the ambience. Better to have food outside instead of paying much for so much less quantity.

Abad brookside is a charming hill side resort in wayanad, located in midst of nature. My experience from the booking to checkout has been excellent. Property is around 7 acres of lush greenery and brookside stream, ample space for walk, just sit and relax or play in the small stream running by the resort. The cottage room is spacious with a balcony view to resort grounds. Restaurant serves delicious local delicacies. We spent a day in the infinity pool overlooking forest. The resort is near to many sightseeing places, within driving distance of 2 hours, banasura dam, pookode lake, soochipara waterfalls, chem-bra peak trekking and view are must see places. The resort staff are courteous and were always helpful in guiding to nearest attractions. Housekeeping and restaurant service is very good.

The entire resort is super clean and the staffs are very helpful as well. There are enough activities to keep you engaged but if they don't impress you then the infinity pool definitely will. It has an amazing view, very very neatly maintained and the location makes it exotic. The food is definitely one of the best i've had in kerala and all the dishes were yummy. Definitely visiting the place again. Ps: as many others suggested, the route from the main road to the resort is an off-road enthusiasts delight but not very difficult as well. People had come in polo and etios so yes you can get your vehicle but if your not confident, there is a parking space right next to the main road reserved for this resort and they will arrange a pickup/drop from there.

The property is beautiful and well maintained, the food is amazing and the staff are very professional. One thing i disliked is the nauseating 2. 5 kilometer jeep drive through an extremely bumpy and broken forest road i had to take each day to travel to and from the main road. This gets tiring as the number of days increases. Another thing i was not happy about was that there is a big difference between the several brook side cottages. Some have a fantastic view and surroundings, but some cottages like the one we got didn’t have good surroundings. Overall, the property and food are the main highlights. If the road is repaired and the cottage number can be selected, i would definitely recommend to others.

Overall had a happy and rejuvenating experience. The resort is in the lap of nature surrounded by greenery, wild life, mountains and a small stream flowing along the edge of the property. Its a serene place with the soothing sound of the stream. The walk try the stream was joyful and refreshing. The property is well kept. The staff is courteous and helpful. The food was good too. The place is about 15 minutes' travel from the main road and road is considerably bumpy but the overall experience makes up for the small inconvenience. The only problem with the room that we stayed in was that it was not completely sound proof with respect to adjust room.

The resort is located in picturesque location with pleasant views from all rooms. The staff is well trained and friendly. They need to upgrade and add more activities in the club house. Presently there is nothing much to do on a rainy day when you can't venture out for hikes or walk. They can also have some trekking trails and options to engage guests who prefer some outdoor activities. Food was average, nothing extraordinary to state. Freshly prepared and suiting all indian palates. They can showcase more kerala cusine and highlight some ingredients prominent in wayanad. Overall a pleasant stay with family along the brook.

We had a tremendous experience in staying. This place is suitable for solo or family or group travellers. Nice climate. Great service from staff. Delicious food. You can refresh your self in the natural cool water in the brook. Live animals will come and visit you in the morning. Awesome experience

A stay in the middle of forest where you can feel silence and see some wild animals. Resort is on the shore of a brook. We celebrated first birthday of my baby. They did all the arrangements and made the day lovely. Pros - Can feel the silence of nature. wild animals may show up including elephants and monkeys. brookside view is nice. Restaurant is also good including the staff. Cons - Welcoming and checking out was not upto the mark. Amenities was poor including indoor games. Overall experience was good. You can expect leeches and monkeys as it is in middle of forest which makes the trip more interesting. Thank you

Good experience but the road there is very bad and difficult to reach off road. Drivers with good experience can drive regular vehicles to abad

It’s a good resort to stay in forest. In the the middle they have a brook. Families can enjoy the stay. Their buffet is great

The resort itself is beautifully located. Nestled in between the thick jungle and beautiful tea plantations of the nilgiris. We were in the garden facing rooms and the view was quite green and spectacular. The little things inside the resort, the brook, the little infinity swimming pool and the natural pond are charming indeed for a 2 day visit. The food itself was good, but not spectacular. Given it wasn't very expensive, there isn't much to complaint.

The rooms and cottages are hygienic. The resort is located inside the forest; so the road is difficult for small cars. Better not to take the road to resort on your vehicle unless you have a suv. There is a brook running around the resort premises which is the main attraction of the resort. The premises are not maintained properly, and doesn’t look good. There is a garden around the cottages which is covered with grass and not maintained. The food is good. In the description it says that the resort is located in 7 acres of land, but the area is fenced at an area of max 1-2 acres.

Room was spacious. Very good service from staff. It is located inside a forest. Very serene and peaceful atmosphere. It is very much kids friendly. They have separate play areas. There is a brook running all along the resort. Only drawback is that the way towards the resort is rugged and roads are all damaged. It's ok for suv's. Abad will arrange pickup from the main road and a good and safe parking is available at main road side.

Sunrise and sunset we can view and also Brookside is good to spend some time and nice outdoor play, etc.
