Abad Turtle Beach

This is a lovely, family-friendly resort with delicious, fresh-cooked meals and attentive service. You stay at individual cottages tucked throughout well-tended gardens, dotted with fountains, fish ponds and a swimming pool, with patches of jungle throughout. Highlights include: -the gardeners who so carefully tend to the butterfly garden (which was full of butterflies) and the large organic vegetable and fruit garden -security guard royce who gave us an impromptu tour of the beach when we tried to access it via the resort's beach path after dark. He explained that the gate to the beach is carefully locked late in the evening (well after sunset) until dawn, to keep the beachside dogs from making mischief. So, he escored us to the shore himself, to keep us safe while we took a brief look at the stars and the twinkling lights of the fishing boats, moored on the sand. He explained the boats would go out around midnight to fish all night - an ayurveda clinic tucked away at the edge of the lush, bird-filled jungle-like setting - an evening buffet with tandoori that surpassed the meals we had at a 5-star resort the night before, and an equally lovely breakfast buffet with omelette station - a tree in our indoor shower atrium, and comfy, rose-petal strewn beds (one twin and one queen as requested) when we arrived. One small hiccup happened at checkout when the harried manager had forgotten to book us our 1030am cab to reach our alleppey houseboat (and the whole Abad Turtle Beach was checking out at the same time and the area is a bit remote, so make sure to give him an early-morning reminder. The lovely guy seems to be perpetually on duty, 12+ hours a day, 24/7, with a fairly full Abad Turtle Beach of guests so. Cut him some slack!

I wanted to give a 5 star but i believe there is a lot of scope of improvement with the food. The food quality was not great. Dinner buffet lacked the taste and don’t find worth the price charged. Breakfast was comparatively little better but not upto the mark. Else, this property is peaceful enough right at the beach. Totally enjoyed the beach and pool. Cottages are far and they should arrange cart bogie specially for senior people for easy movement. The resort itself is very big in space and have different vegetables plantations inside and a butterfly garden. They have open washroom concept. Rooms are spacious and can easily accommodate 3 people. Evening tea and coffee with snacks is a complimentary service which they provide and tasted really good. I would like to revisit only for the beach which was really clean and enjoyable.

The resort is at an excellent location, very easy to reach. The property is pretty huge and well maintained. Staff very courteous. The rooms, bathrooms and all the amenities were great. The cottages open to a backyard garden. Amazing place to spend a quiet afternoon reading the book and listening to waves of the beach. Private access to the beach the whole day from 7 am to 7 pm truly helped us to build memories lasting forever. The swimming pool is also well maintained and hygienic. Toilets are bit away from the pool. And no changing rooms present near the pool. The food was top notch. We were very much pleased to have delicious vegetarian food from a wide spread menu. Our daughter enjoyed at the kids play area. The swing tied to the tall tree was icing on the cake for her.

From the check in to check out, every single thing was amazing. Amble parking space, friendly reception staff, welcome drink, buggy service. The room was near and clean. The bed was decorated with rose petals and leaves. Fruit basket, drinking water, toiletries, dental kit, swimming pool towels. We got a room near the garden and they have a wide variety of flowers. Also the property has a lot of trees and we can see different varieties. The beach is at a walkable distance. It is clean and safe and life guard and security are also available. All together a fine experience.

Location is excellent. The entire premises is well maintained. Lot of open space, greenery, organic gardens, hammocks, buggy (vehicle) to take you around. Private beach (I heard it is only to the Abad Turtle Beach customers) very well maintained. Food was good. Rooms were neat and spacious, with open-to-sky bathroom. Overall we had a great time at the resort. My daughters birthday celebration was celebrated on the beach-side at sun-set and the Abad Turtle Beach staff were nice enough to put in the little things required for the birthday celebration at the beach.

Awesome location, butterfly garden, organic farm. BeSt part was feeling of nature paradise with lush green surroundings, greenery. Well maintained pool, beautiful and clean beach. Superb staff, everyone greets you with the smile and ready to help anytime. Only con I couldn't proper area for the kids where they can play with some slides and swings. They can improve upon it and it will be perfect resort. Would also like to add that pricing is perfect which gives you sense of value for money. I am really looking forward to visit again it in future.

The Abad Turtle Beach has gardens all around the property is full of cottages. The staff was very polite and good behaviour towards customers. The interior of the cottage was designed very old like a small cottage fitted with aircon. The food was good. And will get sea food as per order. The cottage is near beach. The beach is very clean and not crowd y, the kids will enjoy very much. The experience was very good. The staff was very concern about their customers. There was vegetables garden, cows, swans etc inside the Abad Turtle Beach.

The abad property is rightly located with an awesome private beach. Food was good, like homemade. The complementary breakfast was yummm!the rooms are nice, they could do with a clothes line/a drying rack for drying wet clothes. The pool was heated in the evenings and was perfect!the extra activities like tt (broken table needs replacement, badminton corks(broke off easily)can be taken care of. The employees were polite, always pleasant and needs special mention. Overall, a perfect place if you are a waterbaby or wants to relax.

We as family stayed in pvt pool room for 2 nights. Resort is quite big with lush greenery all around. We enjoyed our stay yet only thing we missed there was lack of gym and basketball pole. Room service can be improved too and breakfast buffet need improvement too. 4 stars for resort.

Very nice and pleasant experience. The staff arranged it very well and had an attractive ambience. Restaurant was also good. But a bit expensive.

Enjoyed a day stay at beach resort with close access to the beach which is at a walking distance. Pool is small an overcrowded in the evening when all guests start using it. Buffet dinner and breakfast are delicious with adequate variety. Rooms are old but we'll maintained.

When raining water leak over toilet roof. Room service to be done on time.

Great service by staff. They treated us very well. Only problem was mosquitoes inside the room. Even after using repellents was not able to sleep. Rest all was good. They even arranged complimentary birthday cake for my dad.

An elegant place to stay. Well maintained room. Quite and peaceful surroundings. The seashore accessible to the resort is well maintained. The life guards posted in the beach were highly dutiful. The swimming pool is kept neat and tidy. Food was exquisite. The members of staff were diligent and courteous. The slight delay in checking- in and checking - out, owing to inadequacy in the the number of staff, could however be avoided by. Posting additional manpower in times of heavy work load.

Location, food, hygiene and safety standard everything was great except the cleanliness of the rooms (especially the washroom because of water logging. We stayed in the beach resort (room number: 101. As this cottage was nearest from the beach entrance so we enjoyed it overall.

The Mararikulam property of Abad Turtle Beach, is a heaven for a family traveler like us. We have great time, at their beach, pool, spa, and every nook and corner where we hit. The food variety was exhaustive and quality was great. The staff were nice and honest, always smiling and helpful. Mark my words, no place is better than this if you are in and around Alappuzha. Count on Abad.

Overall the stay was very good. The telephone in the room was not working. They have a private Beach with guard to assist if needed. They have organic farms and a lot. A lot of trees and plants inside. Food was also good.

Truly an awesome property. Value for money. Hardly 100 meters walkable to beach. Large property with huge open area for children and family to spend good time. Staff is caring and very courteous. Organic vegetable plantation is well done. Swimming pool kept tidy but do not have heating system. Breakfast could have more variety but overall food was very tasty. A good property to spend memorable family time together.
