I had a wonderful stay at After the Rains Rainforest Lodge. The environment within the resort was truly awesome — surrounded by lush greenery and a calm, soothing atmosphere. It felt like being right in the heart of nature. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and offered great comfort. Perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the serenity of Wayanad!

The property was in a beautiful location. It's green all around and the stay was amazing. It ws very close to nature and would definitely love to stay here again.

The Good - property is very scenic. We booked Lillikoi. Facing the valley and mountains. Clouds floating by. Very picturesque. Room was in good shape, clean beds and the toilet was LARGE (150 sq ft), clean and overlooking valley. Lovely. The Not so good - Some can be helped, some can't be. But good for travelers to know. The approach Road is tricky, small and we had a car come opposite and had to back up about 100 mtrs on the narrow cliff side road in partial visibility. Avoidable thrill. Lillikoi design is strange. Toilet and bedroom are detached. You have to walk across the bridge to get to it. Weird. Bedroom has no storage at all so all bags are in the toilet cupboard. Enough space but you do need some hanging and storage in bedroom. We couldn't do much around the property as it was raining all through the day. And it's a steep slope in every direction. Anyway this can't be helped so just a note. Lastly, helpful staff told us to beware of leeches. Also said that using a sanitiser gets rid of them. Which is a great tip. Except when I asked can you give us one, they didn't have it. And hadn't thought of providing in the rooms. Not blaming them but management should note that it was an opportunity for customer delight that was lost.

The property is situated at an exceptionally good location. Breathtaking views. 16 acres of property accommodates only around 10 villas which ensures that privacy is abundantly taken care of. We stayed at the best of their villas -KahWah. Clean and well maintained villa. A small hut made behind the villa to enjoy the mesmerising view of the valley and dense forest while sipping coffee was the highlight of the property. We stayed there from May 19, 2025 to May 22, 2025. Fortunately for us, it drizzled all these three days. As a result, the entire property was enveloped in thick fog. Cloud nine. The property being settled in dense forest, there are a variety of birds and butterflies to watch. There are very many number of guava, cocoa, avacado, mango and other fruit bearing trees. The swimming pool is extremely clean. The dining area is awesome and offers a beautiful view of the forest and valley. Activities like fishing, forest trail etc are worth doing. Rakesh Prabhakaran hosted us. He is friendly and takes delight in helping the guests. Cons: we found the food at best average. We coveted the local Waynad or Kerala cuisine. One or two dishes were served daily as a local dishes but we did not find them up to the mark. There is no ala carte facility nor was buffet provided. The chef decides what food the guests eat. Breakfast was repetitive. The last limb of the approach road is difficult to navigate and no properly maintained. We were told this was the lapse on part of the local authority. There is no air conditioning provided in any of the rooms or villas. We did not even find the need of one during our stay. Despite these lacunae, we would strongly recommend this property for those who want to relax and chill for a couple of days.

The property is located in a pristine location away from the hustles and bustles.service was topnotch and very professional...food was delicious too...This resort is for those who want a calm and quite getaway...don't expect too much activities unlike the other resorts in and around...the place is for the ambience and serenity...one suggestion is some adventure activities and kids play area could also be added in the property since the area is vast and suitable for those...staffs were very friendly and humble...overall a commendable experience..

The location was overall great, i loved the silence which let me to live in the fresh forest ambience. The food option was limited but the taste was good. Overall it’s a great experience to disconnect from the city and live surrounded by nature.

Resort location and ambience is good but rooms are far away from the reception so walking through the terrain is little difficult and food is nice but options are less i think its little overpriced for the options and amenities available

I have given 1 rating only for the view and ok ok food. First of all the property is quite interior and with no roads and proper lighting to reach. No arrangement for driver stay which is basic for the good resorts. Rooms has mosquitos flies and room aesthetic doesn’t justify the money spent. You dont have much amenities and activity which justify the premium. If you want calm environment with the view than you can go but again its quite expensive for this as you can get this way cheaper in any other resort which is near and charge less. Last but not least dont go for makemytrip scam of super package they say mini bar which is banana chips 50 gm and tea coffee set which is provided free but make my trip charge 1000 extra. Super expensive banana chip i ever had.

It was okay. Didn't feel it was worth the hype and money. The cottages were really pretty. Nice view from the room. Cute balconies and a lot of privacy. There's a bathtub but one has to wait at least 2 hours to fill it because the geyser capacity didn't match up to the tub's. Every time the water heats up, you fill the tub a little. Then wait again for the geyser to heat (10-15 mins. It was very frustrating. The meals were served in the dining area and the food was delicious. A la carte menu - half the items (the good ones) were unavailable. There is some space to walk around the property. We went during the monsoon season so we couldn't explore much as it was pouring heavily every day. Otherwise, there wasn't much to do in terms of activities. There was a swimming pool but it was cold so we decided against it. We went for a plantation walk. It was okay. Not much to see or explore during rains at least. The road to the hotel towards the end becomes slightly bumpy and narrow so an auto guy may crib. Better to come via a cab or personal vehicle. In terms of hospitality, the staff was decent. They were helpful but not overtly warm.

Lunch was good. Dinner and breakfast could have been better. The location is slightly sloppy. The room was not cleaned earlier. However, the room service was good and they sent a van to move around the property.

Lovely experience, memorable stay. Overall good. Can get better. Place needs some renovation and needs overall enhancement as the location is superb, staff were good. This place has a potential to be a super boutique resort.

Never miss this property. Atleast visit once, very well maintained and friendly staff. 5/5. View from the property is beautiful. Loved it.

LOCATION AND VIEWS ARE GREAT..BUT FOOD AND SERVICE IS AVERAGE ...NOT MUCH OPTIONS IN FOOD AND THERE IS NO ALA CARTE OPTION

Excellent stay in meppadi wayanad with warm staff and cool scenic jungle views. The food is very good with a wide choice of variety local cuisines. They also have some activities in the resort which are fun. Overall we had a nice stay and mr. Rakesh, arjun snd co. Were very helpful in guiding us through our entire stay. Our only discomfort happened once we left the resort in the cab booked through the resort, mr. Riyas. Took us to places which were already closed and had tie ups with costly shops where he took us for visit. My suggestion is do not book that cab service. The driver is only bring the reputation of the resort down.

We checked for nice resorts at waynad in make my trip. We booked it prior of 2 months. We waited for the day and when we reached over there the resort is veryyyy good and lovely place for a get away from the city exhausting life. The nature. And the amenities are excellent. We booked pimienta room and the view from the room is next level eye feast. The view from the bathtub will take us into trans. And also the staff were very friendly. The food served was very good with authentic kerala dine. They provided very good service overall. Overall excellent stay and we are also planning another visit in winter

The stay was good. Property is located amid-st the lush green western ghats. Breakfast was better than dinner. Overall good experience.

Amazing location. Average food. Very good rooms. Good service (i felt they are not properly manned) overall a good stay!

Kudos to the entire team, awesome cuisine, rakesh, arjun and vishnu made us feel at home stayed with family for five days. Serene and calm atmosphere. Just lost in nature.
