After the Rains - Rainforest Lodge

A resort designed in such a way that it blends into the plantation and the bordering forest. My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The breathtaking view of the nilgiri range that welcomed us at the reception/lobby alone was worth the journey. We stayed at kokum for 2 nights. We felt the view of forest and mountain range was great. But then they upgraded us to lilikoi for the last night - the view from this room was mind-blowing! food was excellent too. Though the options were limited with select north and south indian dishes, everything they served us was excellent. My wife was feeling unwell one of the days and wanted to avoid masala and oil, so they went out of their way and prepared special dishes just for her. Shout out to the manager jogi, staff arjun and liju and chef ajith for making our stay a memorable experience. And chandran for taking us on a very informative trek through the plantation. The 20 odd acres of the resort is full of all kinds of fruit trees - starting from basic chikoo, guava to the not so common babloose, cocoa and even avocados! the rich variety of flowering plants carefully curated along the main walkways presents a whole lot of photo-ops especially for the ladies. Will definitely recommend this resort to anyone who wishes to experience the beauty of wayanad. Just make sure you're ready to get some cardio from the long walks through the property.

If you really want to live close to the nature, I recommend you should try this place. Spread in a huge coffee plantation this resort offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience. All you can hear is chirping of birds throughout the day. The only flip side would be the road leading to the resort. Though it leads us through beautiful tree plantations its in a very bad condition and it is very tough to get through it if you are coming by small car or sedan. A proper suv would help. However you can call them and ask for pick up and drop which they will provide by calling some local jeff drivers. But be prepared to stay inside resort without any sightseeing plans and its worth to stay inside as it has everything to offer. Evenings are so beautiful and you feel you are staying deep inside the woods. Sunil who is managing the property is very helpful.

Dictionary equivalent to this place is “heaven” No exaggerations…this was a real heaven on earth The overall mesmerising vibe, serene & tranquil atmosphere, eye captivating sites around the property has my whole heart!! We had a comfortable, blissful stay at this amazing property! Well maintained rooms, friendly staffs and food was all top notch. Am so looking forward to re visit this beautiful property sometime soon..!!! My one cent to people planning to visit after the rains… Leeches are prevalent here during rainy season. Hence its better to visit the property during summer season or incase ur visiting during the rains, pls avoid walking on the grass paths in after the rains.. 😊 Thank you

We just loved The place! Complete isolation from your everyday life, all in The beautiful glory view of The Western ghats. Excellent hospitality, cleanliness and amenities. The place is well maintained with their very professional staff to help you out for everything. Eventhough some rooms are far away from The reception and dining area, The hike and walk is all Worth it, just pumps up your energy levels. One of the best stay in the middle of the nature… It’s worth of every penny you book… Manager Dominic welcomed us with a welcome drink, and explained about property and then we proceed to our room… The view was amazing from the room, room was clean and well maintained.. Dominic helped me by getting a cake for our anniversary celebration.. Food is the major drawback it’s below average… Hospitality at it’a best… Recommend, but don’t be a foodie if you need to enjoy the nature…

The start to this amazing resort was the drive through the tea plantations and the scenic view. We enjoyed our stay here in the After the Rains - Rainforest Lodge. The view from the reception absolutely breath taking. A special mention to the all the staff members very cordial, friendly and give you information on every thing around the resort. The swimming pool a beauty I'm itself. Fishing is not for the faint hearted but for the view down 200 odd steps below priceless.

Overall experience of the stay is awesome. As it was raining we could not explore many places inside the resort but the view from reception & villa is awesome. Room is spacious and awesome view from the balcony. Food is average as there is limited options but whatever served is good. Hot water was not available 1. 5 days of our 3 days visit which was disappointing due to power fluctuations. These facilities are improved. The place is perfect for vacation.

After the rains is ideally located in a plantation, which is a new and well maintained property. Vishnu and his staff are very helpful and will make you feel at home. Food is also very good with variety and will justify the price. Maybe a kids play area would have been a great addition, but kids might as well like the walk through the plantation, seeing the cattle, fishing pond and trees . Definitely recommend for a short getaway!

Excellent location. Stayed in Kokum and there is no view from room. But view from restaurant and view point was very beautiful. Good property walk and fishing in The pond was great. Limited food options as it is more of home stay than resort. No near by shops. The climate is very very foggy from evening to morning. Even inside The restaurant was fogged. The staff are very courteous. Enjoyed completely.

The property is amazing. It offers great views plus the rooms are great. It was a pleasant stay. By mistake the door of the bathroom was left open by us and so a lot of bugs were found in the bathroom in morning. Other than that everything was great. Great breakfast, good views, location great.

Had a great time at after the rain. Would love to visit again. Staff behaviour was very good. Only drawback is that dinner menu is limited and dining area is bit far from room.

Neat and hygienic rooms and dining area. Friendly and helping staff. The view from the room itself is awesome. The food is okay okayish - not that great. Was not able to check out fishing area and swimming pool due to shortage of time. Would definitely plan a longer stay next time.

A beautiful secluded resort for couples looking for an escape from busy city like and have a great time

This is the perfect place to stay in Wayanad. Starting from the scenic beauty, room, ambience, location, service, food quality and staff behavior, everything is perfect. This place definitely deserves a 5 star. Only scope of improvement could be in the variety of food menu, but whatever they serve is authentic and tasty.

Loved the hospitality, cleanliness and availability. If you are looking for some fresh air, greenery, go for it. One thing which you should never miss is the food which is one of the best thing you will find here. Worth the money.
