Allan's Inn

It's so nice and I feel like home kind of experience with the stay and the silence here, garden & flowers are quite an experience, especially people were so supportive and silent and simple. Enjoyed the stay a lot and it's cost less and best too.

No inverter facility, light keeps flicking to hot at night.
Nothing, just that room was having no power at whole night.

The room is located ay one of the best places in Kochi that's the Fort area. It's an economical stay for a solo traveller. The host is a good person. Has helped for arranging and guiding which has made my stay more pleasant. My suggestion. Give it a try.

Pros Good value for money in terms of location and the place in general. Friendly and jovial owner Quite and away from any vehicle noise. Con’s Mosquitos and the place did lack a wash basin. Yet, it was a good place for the price!

When we reached by Google maps at the location, there was small sign board to a walkable street showing Allan's inn. We made a call to the number. Some girl of 10 years attended the call. And she asked us to follow her. We knew it was a family running home-stay, and we didn't expect a commercial touch at all. But what we faced was a real unprofessionalism. The girl let us wait for a 10 minutes, and then a little boy asked us to follow him to some other building, as there is no room left at Allan's inn. He made us to walk about 10 minutes with the luggage and shown a white painted building, no sign board, no sign of a home stay. At the drawing hall, an empty reception was there. The boy run around somewhere, probably to make a call, and came back and opened a room beside the reception. It was a small room with attached bathroom, door opening to the main hall, windows with semi transparent curtain opening to staircase and front side. You expect a couple to stay here? No mirror, no waste basket, nothing expect mosquitoes. We decided to vacate immediately. The boy had already vanished. We just came out of the room and walked back. Please note, nobody was there to make us sign in the check-in register and even to check-out. We drove to city found another low-cost room via goibibo. No wonder, nobody ever made a call asking us where we have gone, or why we are not in the room. To the official, if you can't make proper checking and clearance, get rid off with your app, and we are paying to you, not to the third party.

It's very peaceful place. Can get rid of hustle and bustle of city life. It's not far away from Fort Cochin beach. No one here to disturb you. Very tidy place. The owner madam is very helpful with your all questions regarding the tourist places of surroun

Writing in a way so that owner can notice and make these small improvements for other customers : I had been there with my wife. We dint stay there much as we had planned other stays in between. Honestly, the room was dusty on the walls, ceiling, props and lights .. The floor was clean (But, I suppose, as it was off season they were trying to fix everything on the inside as well as little garden area outside. The Treatment by the Owner was really great as they guided us really well with our enquiry and also helped us with our little needs as providing warm water and their bike to visit nearby area. They were really polite and kind. Things to know : its a Home stay, No Geezer, they provide warm water if needed. No water bottles to drink and no safety measures for emergency, little stinky(maybe due to rainy weather), Lot of Mosquitoes due to garden area(can be fixed with repellent spray in garden. )- Owner had provided a mosquito net and refill though. There should be nets on the toilet and room exhaust as well. There is no TV. They have tourism and cab facilities available in their contacts which can save your time finding one. Certainly, you may request them for a room decoration if you are planning for a romantic stay. Over all I feel its a descent stay in the price if mentioned improvements are made. Was happy to be there. :) Will definitely recommend Allan's Inn to everyone in the price if you are travelling solo or as a pair, not more than that. The place is small.

Room was too congested! Not even a water bottle was available in that room! Service was OK! Its actually a house! So people who are looking for home stay kind of thing this will be a good choice. For any restaurants you need to go about 1km!

The amount of kindness and help given by owners to us is overwhelming! They are absolutely good and helpful people that are willing to go through any lengths to make your stay in Kochi incredible and perfect! I would recommend Allans Inn to everyone.

Neat room. Located near fort. But not on the main road. Suitable for people who travel by bike. Driving a car through the road where hotel is situated might be difficult. It's worth the money paid though facilities are less..

Visited Kochi for my ayurvedic treatment. Talking about Allan's Inn what a nice place !! I must say .. Specially the location where it is situated, the kitkat road I still remember! Felt like I'm at home. Very friendly and cooperative people who are running the place, my best wishes are with them. Value for money. Go for it!

The owner hospitality is very good but location is amateur of concern. Firstly it is through a non driven lane and then through an isle behind another house. Room OK but no soap even. Mosquitoes repellent is installed. Bath poorly maintained is attached. BF is very poor and late at 9 am generally. Place is overbooked generally because of low price.

The room was nice, but the bathroom was shared with one other room. Breakfast was light but delicious and there are also cooking classes that they offer every evening. Bicycles can be rented and bikes and scooters nearby. Great place to stay in Kochi, which is a fantastic place in itself.
