Pros * view from the property is amazing * rooms are near and clean * ambience of cafe style restaurant is good * board games provided and music add a fun factor cons * this property is located at the peak on dharamkot to difficult to access * roads and slopes are too much steep to its risky to self drive so have to be dependent on cab * the cab drivers freelancing there charge too much even for small visits * for sightseeing and hanging out in mcleodganj and dharamshala have to be dependent on cab drivers and they are not helpful when it comes to travel. They get into unnecessary arguments and are rude. Note this part of review is just related to the cabs providers at the Alt Life - Dharamkot | Rooms & Dorms. * food is served too late. Even just 2 parathas that we ordered for breakfast were served after 1. 5 hours. They should really work on this. Also if they are allowing cab organizers to be at the property then they should look into it that the customers get decent service.

Beautiful property and beautiful view, common room or restaurant is beautiful designed enough space food is average, rooms and washroom is clean beds are very comfortable, although it's difficult to reach at this property if u are visiting here first time make sure you carry less lugguage if u choose to walk it takes alot to walk mountains, if u can hire some taxi etc do that the location is again tricky to track rest it's good to be there i stayed for a day it's value for money if u decide to stay for longer

The best thing about this property is really great food (Akshay sir is really awesome chef who can get you the cuisines based on your choices) and staff (Abinash, Nanak, Sanjay and everyone). Very convenient location for many places to explore such as Cafes and Dharamkot Market. I would love to visit again and hopefully every year 😇

Just t 100 words? ever since i have come back from alt life, i feel i am not at home now! best environment for relax, socialise, work, so mch of space for individuality, most people in dharamkot come here for the best parties, specially on weekends, in terms of food, it can fail your local most instagramable spots! do do stay here!

It's a good place to relax, however the road leading to it is very narrow and tricky. The food is good here. The rooms don't have a telephone, you'll be given a mobile number to connect with the reception. It's basically nitpicking at this point. Overall it was nice but for young people strictly. It's a hostel concept, btw.

Nice stay perfect location. The stay is situated at perfect location with beautiful views. The cafe is also amazing.

This is superb stay all the time with very peaceful surroundings and greatest staff specifically nanak, sanjay, avinash and akshay with great food options to choose from.

Its good option but the guy sit on reception have some allotment issue as there is alws some issues in dormant bed. Good location and peaceful environment. Cafe is good with nice food and good siting arrangement

Hotel is good but didnt get the room which i booked from the make my trip as i booked room as it was mountain facing and the service is good for the alt life the night was good as there is karoke night and i stayed earlier with friends

Alt life is located at the best view point of dharamkot. Food and service are at its best. Staff is really helpful and supportive. Rooms are clean and fully furnished. This is a must stay if you are planning to stay at some quite place just few minutes away from bhagsu and main market.

Amazing stay and wonderful service special mention about staff -pinku, ved & sanjay. They are prompt, courteous and helpful, helped me resolve various issues related to stay, food.
