Amanvana Spa Resort- Coorg

The Resort is under a prime location. Very much near to the center of the city. But don't think it would be noisy. The Resort has a beautiful driveway with various trees and plants planted at the driveway till the reception and cottages. So there is zero noise of traffic. The only voice you can hear are the birds. The cottage/room is built in the concept of villa. It has a beautiful sitout area in the front where people can chill. The cottage was top notch. They had all the amenities which people request for. The washroom comes with an attached bath tub. So we can use either ways. And also it has a glass roof top. You can enjoy the sky while having a bath. The Resort has a pool and spa service(dint get time to visit spa, but it looked near from outside). The pool was maintained very neatly and they have a bar next to it. So people can get a full relaxation. The only drawback what I could see with the pool is, it's not heater pool 😔. I couldn't enjoy much as the water was too cold. Next we come to the food and restaurant service. The Resort had large number of options when it comes to buffet. Some of them were too good. And some were average. The food quality can be improved a bit. For the night I had requested for candlelight dinner. The arrangements made by the staff was top notch. The arrangement was next to the river. I forgot to mention. The Resort is attached to the kaveri river. It was just us surrounded by trees and a flowing river. The food served was good. But the service was very good. He was very kind and served us the food very well. The Resort has various other activities included in the normal booking. Such as bird watching, nature walk, river trekking etc. I must say it was a fabulous one. All thanks to mr Naveen, he was a guide to all these activities. He has the knowledge of all the birds and the nature. He guided us beautifully in the trek and also helped us in the bird watch. I stayed for one night. I would definitely suggest for a couple's. The amanvana spa resort, coorg has a relaxing setting, friendly staff, and delicious food. It is located about 15km from madikeri and provides a calm atmosphere which makes it perfect to spend quality time with your loved ones. We celebrated the 50th anniversary of my parents and they decorated the room (with an extra charge) with balloons and flowers and provided an awesome cake (complimentary. Gastronomic odyssey: the food in amanvana exceeded our expectations. We were fascinated by the distinct flavours and unique preparations. The manager, mr thakur was very kind and took good care. They had a wide variety of vegetarian food and mouthwatering sweets. The shahi tukada is my favourite. I loved the food and i gained a couple of kg’s due to the awesome food. The highlight of the stay: the best part of the stay was the 8-island river trek which is amanvana exclusive. Mr naveen (instructor and trek expert) took us to kabini river just next to the resort for a 90-minute trek across the flowing river and natural terrains. It was an unforgettable and adventurous experience. Navin guided us at every step and was kind enough to take a lot of pics. The cottages are very good but the washroom is not adequate for senior citizens. My parents found it difficult to get into the bathtub. However, the staff told me that there is one senior citizen cottage as well. Hence request one in advance. I highly recommend staying in this resort if you want to spend quality time with your loved ones.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was our honeymoon. Starting from check in: Warm welcome by team with cold towel and welcome drink. Check-in process is simple. The manager will escort you to your villa with explaining detail activity of each day. Villa was outstanding. Spacious, clean and everything was right on place. Small lotus pond and garden outside every villa. Room cleaning was done twice a day. Bathtub was designed to get beautiful outside view specially at night. You can get star view while taking bath. Swimming pool is big enough. Restaurant is right next to swimming pool. If you don't have food including in your package I will suggest to go for a-la-carte instead of buffet. Buffet is slight expensive. You don't need to go outside to explore Coorg, they have lots of activities inhouse. Perfect for honeymoon travellers. Best for family and friends. Value for money.

Amanvana is at a beautiful location really a great place to sit back and relax and enjoy. It’s clean and nice staff is overall courteous but there is certain lack of warmth in the atmosphere The staff does politely ask if you are doing good but unlike other places we have stayed in Coorg which have been very nice and warm but this place is bit lacking in warmth and impersonal. The staff doesn’t make you feel very welcome it seems like you are in your own yes they will wish you and all when they see you but more like formality Even the manager at restaurant seemed very aloof did t come to meet or interact was to himself but thankfully we found the chef avatar who served us one of the best meals I had for a long time. The breakfast spread was ok nothing too elaborate and the quality was average. We felt they needed to work on their restaurant menu and service levels.

I had been to few home stays earlier in coorg and this time it was resort experience. Even though resort is calm and in between lush greenery, it wasn’t away from the city or main road. I went with my family and for us highlight was breakfast buffet and even the lunch buffet with numerous food options. Alacarte is on costlier side. Swimming pool is where my kid spent most of her time. Spa is decent. To engage the families we have kaveri river front, bird watch, nature walk and coffee plantation visit. Our in-house guide mr. Naveen is not only knowledgeable but also friendly. He kept us engaged throughout the day. We have activity center where we can play carom, tt, badminton etc. Every night after 6. 30pm we have children movie screening. Overall had a pleasant experience in the resort and staff here were courteous.

We visited shortly after covid restrictions was eased. The property itself is very beautiful, easily accessible, full of flora and fauna, the weather was perfect, staff were courteous and attentive. The bungalow are very spacious and has a very beautiful bathroom, it has almost all the amenities, although we missed few things like hairdryer. Overall a very beautiful property. However, there were very limited staff. The restaurant had very limited menu, hardly anything to choose from, one veg starter and one non veg starter and same goes for main course. Breakfast spread also was not that great, but definitely better than lunch and dinner menu. The spa and activity area was closed which was a big bummer for us as we had rs. 2000 worth spa coupon. If you're a nature lover, this is the place to go.

A very good resort with just 19 bungalow in 11 acres of green along the Riverside. Food is very spicy and people who are not used to very spicy food, please tell them in advance before every meal, in fact, you will get spicy food in the whole of Coorg district (it is famous for spices). The quality of toiletries is not good, don't use their shampoo it will make your hair dry and frizzle. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom size is amazing. The staff is very courteous but they need to improve their services. The manager and morning bird watching trips are amazing. The coffee plantation tour is short but informative. If you love greenery and want to live in a pollution-free environment, then this resort is value for money.

Third time visit n still enjoying the place ! thanks to the special treatment from the staff and chef sandeep, which makes our stay memorable every time !

The place was beautiful full of green trees and plants. There were birds chirping all over and the room was very comfortable. The only drawback was the food which needs to be worked on. Apart from that we had a wonderful time at this property and it’s a must visit for anyone.

Property’s location was very near to kushalnagar and food was excellent and amenities were good and excellent house keeping.

Restaurant manager and food was not good

Had stayed three nights with two toddlers. Had a great stay. The property is beautiful with river birds and right in the lap of nature. The food was great to taste however would have loved a bit for variety in the menu.

All the things about this place is amazing. Be it location (located just at Kaveri River), be it food, be it spaciousness of villa, be it cleanliness they maintain, be it activities they conduct, be it the service their staff offers (most co-operative staff i have visited). All in one sentence i can say it's one of the best place to stay in coorg. Unbeatable experience. Will love to revisit it on my next trip of coorg.

At a good location in Kushalnagar. Near to Golden temple. In midst of greenery. Great breakfast with lot of varieties. Overall a great place to stay

The place location is good, amazing view there is river water flowing through the resort location. Excellent food service. Rooms are big and comfy and romantic bath tub.
