Amar Resort in Chopta is a great place to stay for those planning to trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila. The staff is cooperative and the rooms and washrooms are clean. The food is delicious and the location is peaceful. However, the property is far away from the actual trek location and there is no way to reach there without a personal vehicle. The property is dependent on generators or solar energy and basic amenities like water and electricity may not be available at times. The rooms are nice but there is no heater and no network connectivity. Overall, it is a good budget stay with excellent views.
