Amara Gateway Hotel

Nice and clean Amara Gateway Hotel and rooms with a good restaurant.
The only reason, I gave 4 stars is because of some customer service issues. The front desk attendant on the night of 14th jan was completely unresponsive to requests, for example I asked him that I wanted some medicine and if there was a medical store near by and responded that he doesn't know without making an attempt to find out. I googled it and found it myself. Further, I told the same attendant that I wanted some milk to drink and if he could tell room service and his response was no, I'll just have them call you. I realize that the above 2 things might not be his responsibilities but I just thought that it was rude and that he could care less. The next day when we went for breakfast, the attendants serving breakfast hoped that we wouldn't ask them for some hot dish and that we would just eat off of the buffet. We had to ask for water a couple of times before the attendant cared enough to give us water as if he was doing us a favor and again the attitude was that he doesn't care. When I asked for tea he pointed me to the express machine and said that I can have coffee and when I insisted that I wanted tea, only then he said okay. But on the contrary the lady and another gentleman at the front desk on the morning of 15th were very polite and helpful and they also arranged a car for us and went out of the way to help us. So I guess it's just the people we dealt with at the Amara Gateway Hotel, just two very different attitudes.

This would be a fantastic Amara Gateway Hotel if it wasn't let down by average to poor service. The wait staff especially was a pain to deal with. Every food order was met with a sorry, that's not available. The head chef noticed and was kind enough to make me a menu item I had requested, which is generally guaranteed to be available everyday at even the most basic Amara Gateway Hotels. The room was great, both in terms of size and amenities. Right up there with the best 5-star properties. Water pressure and temperature were a constant issue though. But comfortable beds with plush linen made the overall experience quite good. Staying at this property can be a wonderful experience for any guest, provided they pull up their socks in the staff training department. A great option overall in a city with extremely limited options for luxury accommodation.
Had to call for hot water to be turned on every morning. The plumbing guy told me he used to switch it off since it was daytime and people didn't need hot water.

Hotel is located on main road. Surrounding by several residential houses. There is in space behind or both sides and once you see from window its just wall. Look like jail. Rooms are spacious and well facilitated. Breakfast is average and not up to its class. Main point is there is no amenity for guest for leisure. Neither gym nor pool. What you expect from a 4 star Amara Gateway Hotel is missing. They should lower their rates too. Its not a metro city.

The property is really nice, rooms are also well designed but the problem is the lack of professional dressing some staffs had 3 buttons of their shirt open and were proudly depicting their chest hair) the front desk staff was alright l but not opt. I believe if the dress code of the staff i worked upon then the property will be stellar.

Ambiance was good, room were new & clean. But room service & house keeping staff could be better & more professional. Breakfast buffet was with limited food items.
Hotel was clean but mosquitoes were there in the rooms. Hotel staff could be better. Temperature checks was not done at the entry. Hotel staff was not wearing gloves.

Would be better to get all the food that you ordering. The menu is fine but not all the items are available all times, and the variation of items for breakfast could be wider.
All fine, but would be nice to have a better ventilation in a bathroom, because after shower all the mirror I have to clean to see myself.

Service need to improve a lot carelessness could be clearly seen. Small missing like cutlery and salad missing in food makes difference. Although the same was served but, all after reminding. Hope the staff realizes the same soon and act on this.

Overall a nice and safe stay. Sanitisers were places at all d common places and proper cleaniness was maintained. Room service and the Amara Gateway Hotel staff were co-operative including the manager mr sp singh.

Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Room service little slow. Food much overpriced as per the quality and quantity.

No particular attention is being giv1to hygiene and safety.

It was a good stay. I think they run short of staff. Most calls to reception and house keeping is unattended. Room service responds fast. Rooms airy and lots of natural light.

Food was cold in the morning and when we asked to get us fresh and they microwave it and gave it to us
