Amritara Shalimar Spice Garden Resort & Spa

The place was beautiful, set in a Spice Plantation, especially the bridge connecting to the entrance is great, disconnecting it from the outside world. We felt close to the nature. The food was amazing. The staff were very courteous. They served us delicious Kerala style breakfast and the service was quite quick. But there was very less assistance in the front office regarding the sight seen. They should have more information to help the guests explore the place, culture and food. Though the property is old, they maintained the place well but it's high time the rooms need to be renovated without losing its old charm. Overall we had a great time.

A very peaceful natural resort assuring full relaxation. It is little away( about 7 to 9 km) from throbbing city centre. All natural lovers would appreciate. The arrangements (huts)are really well planned. Tastey veriety of food is available. Reception is managed by very courteous smart professionals. They always go extra mile to assure your planned trips. Jeep safari, boat ride at periyar lake, entertainment programme are made promptly in time to your satisfaction. Travel to different locations are made by resort verified, trustworthy drivers. Overall experience is great.

If I were to sum up my experience in a line - "we were treated like royalty at Shalimar spice garden". This place is a true gem wherein the staff has been trained to look into every small detail & give utmost experience to the customer. The staff was proactive in preempting our needs & catering to our whims & fancies. Also the spa services are reasonably priced & again very nice. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fuss free stay.

Stayed for one night in elegant room in the middle of a spice garden. Neat and clean, well maintained property, aesthetically planned and decorated. Back to roots touch in everything, earthen pots at buffet table, old world style atta chakki and silbatta as decorations, loved the decor ; very courteous staff and prompt to respond service ; loved everything except the breakfast buffet as menu was limited. But got the dinner as per my specification

We reached while lights were fading. That meant we missed the small board directing us towards the property. The approach is very scenic and awe-inspiring. The property really lives up to its name. Staff is helpful and rooms are nice. The spread at breakfast can be better. We had dinner at the resort and really liked the food quality. In all a good experience! PS: Plan a 2 day stay at the property!

It was such a amazing experience, the vibe, the feel, the nature feels likes running through your veins. If you are a tourist this place is not for you, although if you are an explorer there's nothing better you can ask for. It has best try to kept closest to the nature and far from the world. We had an absolutely relaxing weekend and we enjoyed the peaceful and serene atmosphere. We are in admiration for the prompt room service, the friendly & obliging staff and the excellent food served. It is an absolute hide out for nature lovers. Just a small suggestions is that .. It would be nice if there was a TV .. As it gets a little quiet in the night

Pool villa was excellent, however do note that there are only two in the property. The first room is the one which provides complete privacy, and the bedroom opens up to the pool view. The second villa does not look as nice. Please not that food was not upto the mark, however there are not much options nearby unless travel-ling on a road trip

It's an excellent place for pleasent stay and feel the nature's freshness. Each staff member is very helpful in whatever support you need. They are always available at your room service. The hygeine maintained is quite good. Eveeyone is available to help you out in every circumstances.

Amritara is really a serene and beautiful resort. Weather is always cool because this property is situated inside lush trees. Well maintained and organized. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Had a chance to see live dance performance. Not much activities for kids. Pool is good. Food is above average not excellent.

this is a very nice place with best ambience and since the staff everyone is so polite and very traditional...we r very liked it ...and we refer to our friends too regarding this trip and had nice experience staying here ....awesome stay and mesmerizing experience ❤️

Shalimar was an experience in itself. Beautiful built property with fine traditional architecture. You smell and see nature all around, with so many trees and plants. Something that helped me tick all my boxes were the hospitality and warmth of the employees, you just feel at home. Highly recommended place.

The pictures on the websites are not very clear, but the actual location is awesome. You will not feel like coming back and wish to stay there forever. Property is very Silent, green, ultra-clean, nature-friendly and very well maintained.

Resort located a little away from rush places, and very true natural atmosphere maintained.

Once you step through the main threshold you will be stepping into a whole new world. The property is full of lush green vegetation and the whole ambiance would make you feel at home. The staff was great and food there was amazing. The monsoon drizzle also made it pretty special for us.

Great stay. Lovely ambience with trees all around and rooms are designed aesthetically. Property maintains high standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Staff are friendly and very professional.
