Ananda Resorts Shantiniketan

It happened to be a sudden midnight plan on a Friday night when we decided to get away from hustle bustle of the city for the weekend. We booked 2 rooms for 4 of us in the family. As we were not sure if there is an elevator in the property, and my dad has mobility constraints, we booked one standard and the other deluxe room (even though though the price difference was minimal) anticipating one of them to be in the ground floor at-least so that he could use it. It was a road trip and google maps made it absolutely easy for us to reach there. This property is located in sriniketan amid-st the lush green fields - absolutely cut off from noise and crowd. As we entered, it gave a feel of serenity. We were greeted by the staff and offered welcome drinks at the check in. There are overall 19 rooms and both our rooms incidentally were in the 2nd floor and to our utter delight, we realized the property had wheelchair as well as an elevator. We offered the deluxe room to our parents- it was pool view with balcony. We shifted to the standard room but it was equally nice ( only the pool view and balcony were missing. The place has a charm of its own, the staff are extremely courteous, food is good ( bengali, indian and Chinese cuisines available. This place is designed beautifully and i appreciate the owner for his thoughtfulness. The place is hygienic, well maintained and thoroughly cleaned, the pool is lovely. Loved almost everything about this place and is a must visit for any 1 who wishes to take a break from mundane life. I look forward to be back again. Soon!

We had a pleasant and serene experience at ananda resort. The main attraction was its ambience and theme. The resort looks exactly the same as in the pictures. Even the rooms are spacious and give you a peaceful vibe. The food is tasty and nicely prepared. The chef is pretty good. If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is your place as the location is amid-st farmlands and fantastic. They also have driver dorms with parking. Scope of improvement- service needs to improve. They need to be reminded about the house cleaning or anything that you are requesting them. They charged for 1 pair of slippers and 1 pair was complementary. Even though the price is less, this is not a nice gesture as all rooms are double occupancy. Ideally they should provide 2 slippers complementary like all other resorts. If you ask for more water, they would charge that as well. Food is tasty but the options are very less. They should increase their breakfast buffet spread or menu options. The pool needs to be cleaned periodically and some vigilance should be there to ensure that people are not misusing or making the pool dirty. Unfortunately, no one was there to look at the safety or cleanliness of the pool. Even the dress code was not being checked. Finally they have a good indoor gaming zone. No one was there to ask for the gaming accessories. You need to go to the reception desk every time to ask about every single thing. We felt that they have less no. Staff than expected.

Starting with the location, it's located around 7-8kms from bolpur city, so the environment is very peaceful and the resort itself is very neat and clean with excellent staff behaviour. Rooms are clean and spacious and even the standard rooms have stunning views but no balcony. To get a balcony you need to get premium rooms. But no issues with the standard room. However, they didn't provide a pair of slippers in the room. Not even one pair. But everything else was working and great. Absolutely no complaints with the room or the service. Food options are low however. There are also a lot of power cuts but they've got a backup generator so you don't feel the power cut problem. But of course, you need a toto to visit places and toto fares are quite enough because tourist places aren't under a kilometre or 2. The only things i would change is, giving at least one pair of slippers in every room and i would try to increase the food options. A lot of people say food prices are expensive, yeah they are in terms of bolpur, but if you already visit a lot of cafes and restaurants, i'd say food prices are competitive.

Ananda resorts no doubt is one of the best in shantiniketan. I had originally booked airbnb, but then i cancel-led & went for this property, & i am glad i did! the location is excellent, little offbeat but exactly what we were searching for in bolpur/shantiniketan, serenity & surrounded by lush green paddy fields. The staff are extremely courteous, helpful. Room service was prompt. Food is amazing, good portions and bang for the buck. The complimentary morning breakfast has loads to offer at their clean & cozy restaurant - attica. Special shout-out to the gentleman at the reception who made our stay a great experience. We stayed at their deluxe room & it had all the amenities we needed(including a hair dryer for wifey, hehe. The swimming pool is well maintained. The property itself is mesmerizing & surely i will be visiting ananda if back in shantiniketan.

Ananda resorts is located in a serene village of bolpur shantiniketan block yet close to sonajhuri & sriniketan. The Ananda Resorts Shantiniketan gives a feeling of freshness with excellent cleanliness & house keeping. We booked two rooms. The deluxe rooms are spacious and the interior /furniture are very well kept. The best part of the experience is the professionalism & efficiency of the staff starting from check in desk to house keeping. The restaurant serves excellent quality food and the breakfast menu, variety & quality was beyond expectation. The green lawn of the Ananda Resorts Shantiniketan adds to the experience and the staff arranged bonfire in the evening. Overall it was a memorable experience.

the resort was one of the best resorts i have visited! in terms of ambience, decor and service. i had just visited maldives a week prior to my visit to shantiniketan. but i must say my stay at ananda resorts was just as exciting as my trip to maldives. it was like visiting greece! goes without saying that the owner has great taste and even the smallest of things were very carefully planned and placed in the room. it was a very chilled place to hangout and i would love to visit them soon again ❤️ wishing them all the very best!. that's the cozy executive room over-looking the swimming pool and (not so green) paddy fields!

It was a spectacular experience staying at this resort..I recently went with my husband as this place is very close to our home.I wanted to stay at a luxurious comfortable place but also that should be near our home..n coincidentally I found this beautiful resort and it fulfilled all my requirements what I was looking for.My husband also liked the property alot and we will definitely go back here as many weekend as possible 😄

The Theme of the resort gives u a mini Greece feel . Overall we had a good stay at Ananda Resorts, must mention their awesome food and hospitality of each and every staff. A bit far from the main Shantiniketan area, however you would not mind that once u visit the resort. Toto and Cars are easily available and travel time to city center (Shantiniketan, Viswa Bharati) is around 20-30mins. Would surely visit again.

This is a new Ananda Resorts Shantiniketan with all modern amenities, very good location near to village life, food is awesome. Staff behaviour is very good, rooms are very spacious and decorated. Bathroom is neat and clean.

Loved the stay here. Amazing ambience with wonderful hospitality. Would love to revisit.

A very beautiful resort with modern facilities. The colour combination used in the Ananda Resorts Shantiniketan makes it even more beautiful. Away from busy city life. It can be an ideal destination for stress buster.

It is soooo beautiful. Ananda resort has my heart. Every corner is so pretty, it was really treat to the eyes. But but but i didn't enjoy the food much. I really hope i'll enjoy again the view with great food on my next stay at ananda.

Improve your breakfast buffet quality.

An excellent resort with beautiful interiors. Neat and clean room. The staff were polite, helpful and professional. Only the quality of food is slightly less otherwise this place is highly recommended.
