Anandvan Resort

The property is lush green and pleasing to the eye, and is located fairly close to the arthur lake. The check-in process was fairly quick, and there were some reasonable main course food items available although it was past 3:30 pm by the time we reached. We were given two rooms on either side of the central path. The lake-side room offered a nice view of the lake from the garden, while the hill-side room did not have much of a view. The rooms were reasonably spacious and comfortable, with wooden themed interiors and a nice garden. One down-side of the property was that the entire resort is built on an incline, and this involved a lot of climbing which my parents found challenging. The pool is right at the top of this incline, and though it is placed in a very scenic setting, it had not been kept very clean. The food items had a moderate variety, but the taste was quite good. The room service was very prompt. The staff were courteous and friendly. The room was overpriced, although the overall stay experience was quite satisfactory

We had a memorable trip recently (may end 2023) at anandvan resort at bhandardara. We primarily wanted to escape mumbai humid heat and did not expect to do lot of sightseeing but wanted a relaxed getaway. Anandvan resort offers exactly that kind of space. Perched up on small hill next to the great arthur lake our lake view cottage really had a beautiful view of the lake! secluded private space with 1 bed cottage. Ideal for 4 of us. We had a wonderful boat ride on the lake where we were greeted by welcome rain. The water of this lake is so pure and refreshing. Then we had fireflies view at night. This is an amazing experience and we highly recommend it. Overall a great experience at the Anandvan Resort. Food at Anandvan Resort is good and so also other sports amenities. Staff is good too. We went there by o la taxi. While returning o la is not available and had to take a drop service made available by the Anandvan Resort which was slightly overpriced. That's the only downside to the trip.

We had stayed in treetop room of anandvan resort. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Balcony had cute sit out setting with lovely greenery view. This Anandvan Resort has so many shrubs of hibiscus flower plants. All of them were literally blooming with flowers. We tried both a 'la carte and buffet food service at the oak restaurant of the resort. Food was good and the breakfast buffet was served with lots of love by chef arun and the staff. Amenities - swimming pool was clean and nice with lovely view but not kid friendly, as it does not have kid appropriate depth or demarcated swim area for kids. Apart from that, pool game room, basket ball badminton court, tt room were good. Kids play area was not well maintained. There were a lot of stuff in the kids nursery/play area but condition of toys/books was bad and cleanliness was not up to the mark, considering the dedicated area for kids. A little better service/amenities can be provided for the price they charge.

Anandvan sits right at the gate of a great state wildlife sanctuary, but it has failed to maximize on this. There is hardly any activity arranged by the resort management which can take visitors inside the park. For someone like me who is a wildlife photographer, this is a huge miss! a guided tour would add so much value. The resort enjoys a great location. The food served is also amazing, especially the local maharashtrian dishes - they were simple but outstanding. The rooms are spacious - but do need modernization. Internet speed was fast, but they should secure their network. One major gripe is the quality of bed - too soft. Also, the sofa cum bed (which becomes the extra bed) is hardly 5 feet long - not a proper bed at all. We had to complain to get two queen size mattresses and put those on the floor. Overall - it is a place i would recommend - but if you want to do wildlife/bird photography, you would be on your own

We went here for our anniversary trip in jan. We stayed in the tree house cottage. Cons: the prices charged are like a 5 to 7 star resort. But the stay and infrastructure is not more than a 4 star. The rooms are decent, not great. The washroom hasn't been deep cleaned in a while. Pros: the food was tasty, but definitely not worth the prices. The service staff is very polite and friendly. The games/recreation area can be improved. The view from the resort reception / parking area is great. You can trek during the day and the opening to the trek route is from the pool area (behind the resort. If you'd like to visit this resort, do so during the monsoon. By jan, most of the greenery is already dried up, but the weather is bearable.

Oh !!! A wonderful n peaceful stay at Anandvan resort, the room was clean n well maintained overlooking the lake with a glimpse of both sunrise n sunset, Ms. Nishi at the reception was very pleasant n welcomed us with a beautiful smile, provided us with all the information needed, the staff at the restaurant especially Anand & Prakash served us well, Chef Arun went out of the way in providing us with the food request v had, the housekeeping staff were helpful n polite, each n every staff had a smile n made our holiday special, loved every bit of our stay n would recommend it to our friends n family…. P.S. Loved the architecture of the resort the way it’s built… simply beautiful

This was our best trip. Nisha was a wonderful concierge and even yash was great. Nisha resolved all my issues efficiently. Yash gave us a personal touch with all the interesting stories and fun facts about the resort. The food was amazing and chef arun took it upon himself to satiate all our cravings. Ananda was extremely delightful and anticipated our wants and needs, even before we vocalised them. Small issue with no person near the pool as it is an open forest kind of area. But all in all the staff had an extremely positive vibe and even though we were four women on a vacation for the first time there was not even one moment where we felt uncomfortable. It is a decent place with good food. The staff is polite and will greet you and check if you need anything. That creates a feel good environment. From photos it looks like there are huge lawns to roam about. There are just rooms with a small lawn outside each room. The swimming pool is fine and is actually a huge tub. Many resorts have proper pools for lesser rates. The food is expensive but good quality with a chef who makes tasty food. There is a trek which is at the top of the resort which should not be missed and creates a pleasant stay. Overall it is a good stay with hygiene maintained, natural trek to view sunset and good food and not to mention well behaved staff.

It was a very pleasant experience. The resort is as close to nature as possible in the sense the set-up, the ambience, everything is very natural. Not just the resort, but even the entire staff is fantastic. We felt very welcomed and cheerful on every encounter for the entire stay. Breakfast as well as dinner was delicious. Though not too many options, however, everything was good.

Excellent! lovely resort in an excellent location. Rooms are spotless & cleaned daily, breakfast is plentiful. Staff are very helpful.

Property situated at a very beautiful site. The view you get from your room or your small garden is amazing. The rooms are awesome and one will love to stay the whole day chilling and enjoying quality time. This place is safe as they have 24 hr security guards on both gates. Food is good and should be improved on quality aspects on some dishes otherwise quantity is more than enough. I would like to suggest one thing to management to explain more about the stairs situation in their highlights or in description so that the person with old age or disability will book rooms according to that. But otherwise overall experience was awesome.

The property is beautifully located overlooking the arthur lake and is spanned on a slope giving it an amazing opportunity to have good views of the lake from the lake facing cottages. The food was good, cleanliness was very well maintained within the property and the rooms. The staffs were very warm and welcoming and met every needs promptly. The wonder tree cover within the property gave us the feel of spring breeze in this sweltering summer. Keep up the good work team.

Anandvan resort is located at a very nice location overlooking hills and arthur lake. Lake is a 2 minute walk from the property and access to the property is super easy. The property is maintained well and it is nice, clean and tidy. Food was good and a bit expensive. Complimentary breakfast needs improvement in quality and variety. Overall a nice pleasant experience.

The property is located mid hill and all rooms have view of valley on either side it is also close to art-her lack the amenities are very cozy and being on hill slop it also to have natural exercise to walk within property up and down the food is nice and staff is well informed and polite

We planned our stay during the monsoon and we enjoyed every bit of our stay. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and has a great view of the lake. We booked lake view cottage and it was totally worth it. Mornings and evenings were blissful and we enjoyed spending good time in the private garden overlooking the lake the food is of very good quality and had good taste however the breakfast spread is minimal but there is no compromise on taste. One call out is that it is not a very senior friendly resort ( for those who cannot walk or has knee problem) as approach to all the cottages is through stairs
