Astoria Hotel

The Astoria Hotel is located at a prime location and easily accessible to all parts of town via local trains since it is located very close to Churchgate Station. Even via road, one can reach all parts of the town easily. The Astoria Hotel has its own parking which is a big advantage for Astoria Hotels of its class. The rooms are very good and are sample of heritage houses of Mumbai. The doors, windows & lift make you remember a heritage property of South Mumbai. The Astoria Hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful. The food is ok and the breakfast has good options. The Astoria Hotel does not have any additional facilities like bar, swimming pool, etc, although have a conference room. One must visit this place to experience rich heritage look of South Mumbai at a decent price.

If you are looking for a budget Astoria Hotel, near marine drive but is apprehensive about the quality, then blindly for it. Great location. Marine drive walkable distance, Gateway of India in close proximity. Thanks to makemytrip discount, I got it just for Rs. 4800/-. Room was spacious and quiet. Got corner room on third floor. A bit disappointed with room service. My daughter was cranky for milk, told them 3 times to send milk before our food but still they sent it all together only. No consideration for crying baby for milk.

Stayed here for one night. It is an old Astoria Hotel, but they have done an excellent job in refurbishing the interiors. I had booked two rooms, and they were kind enough to upgrade one room to suite. Food was also good, the buffet breakfast was very nice. They also allowed me to extend the check out for two hours for one room. The only thing i felt could improve was the reception. Don't get me wrong, they were very polite and efficient. But i felt they were a bit too serious and reserved. More smiles would have been nicer.

This was my 1st stay in Astoria. Hotel location is excellent. Near to churchgate station and eros cinema. Hotel seems to be a redone Astoria Hotel in a very old building, but they have done it nicely. Only drawback I could find is that the room walls the paints are peeled off, which we cannot expect from a star category Astoria Hotel. Breakfast was included and it was a pretty good one. Self still will continue to think of booking this Astoria Hotel in my next visit due to its location advantage.

I have been visiting this Astoria Hotel for almost 20 years, and prefer to continue staying at Astoria rather than any other Hotel in that location, because of the comfort, convenience and friendly atmosphere I find in Astoria. It is centrally located for my business work, and I have the additional convenience of visiting my business associates without any conveyance. The rooms are neat & clean, and dining is a pleasant experience.

We stayed at the Astoria Hotel for one day on new year's eve. We preferred this Astoria Hotel because it was a few minutes walk from marine drive. Good ambience and room was clean. Complementary breakfast was a plus. Many varieties of foods to choose from. Other menu item which we had ordered for lunch was okay. My improvement point for the Astoria Hotel will be the front desk people to be a little more welcoming or smiling face.

Only drawback is the old construction of the building - everything else in terms of facilities, location, staff, WiFi, complimentary breakfast was great! Also has a the facilities to leave your baggage post checkout which was helpful in my case. Central location means close proximity to restaurants and entertainment hubs. Far from airport though ...

Lots of construction is going on around Astoria Hotel and also inside too. On request they upgraded my room which I liked a lot. But net connection is too slow may be due to bad weather. But overall good. Complementary Breakfast is too good. But if you order food for lunch or dinner not up to mark. Overall I will give 4 out of 5.

The location is good, rooms are good in size, clean and overall nice experience. Value for money with MMT rates. Morning breakfast has good variety / quality. Closer to Marine drive is best for the morning / evening walk. All the public transport is at door steps for easy accessibility.

Room was clean specially washroom. There are nice paintings all over the Astoria Hotel wall. Staff was pretty cooperative. Breakfast is ok. Menu is good. Service was nice. Good package deal. Location is nice near marine drive.

Location is very near to Church Gate Railway station. Good Comfort. All are available in neighbourhood. Bombay Stock Exchange, Gateway of India, Taj Hotel are at walk-able distance from Hotel Astoria. Subway and Burger King are very near to the HOtel.

I stayed in this Astoria Hotel in past also. Previously, rooms were not good but recently rooms renovated. Now rooms are much better. It is a old Astoria Hotel so they still continue with old practices like customer entry in big register. No new Astoria Hotel do this. Breakfast menu is quite traditional.
