I visited this place in march first week with 3 of my friends. We found this one to be cheaper than the only other option, auli resort Location:. The location is fantastic, with awesome scenic view, But to reach there is bit of an adventure in itself. You need to take ropeway from Joshimath till tower 8, get down from tower 8 and take an open chair car to auli reeort. There are only 2 auli resorts at in that are, auli resort and auli resort. All the activities like skiing and way to gurso bugle are from tower 10. Your return ticket to ropeway costs 750 and return ticket to chair car costs 300. You can use your ropeway pass only once, that is once you get down at tower 8, you can't use it to go to tower 10 again, you can only use it to go back to tdown to tower 1(start). Same rule applies for chair car, you can only use it once to go up and down. If you have some extra luggage, you can keep it at chair car office after getting down at tower 8(they may charge you 50- 100rs), 20-25 mins walk till tower 10, do your skiing thing and come back walking to tower 8. Then take your luggage and use chair car to go to auli resort You can also go there by road from Joshimath if you have your own vehicle. Its about 16kms or 45 mins drive. Cabs take about 1200rs as round trip from Joshimath to auli. If you have luggage with you I would recommend this option, But you would definitely miss the view from ropeway Stay:. Stay was pretty good, room was a small hut kind of thing (rest assured air can't pass through), a bit small, 2 beds, tv, heater(heater was pretty good), bathroom with gyser (don't expect hot water, not their fault, climate was too cold) Service/Food:. Service was excellent, good people, good staff. Veg Food was awesome, though a bit expensive considering the location is bit remote. We had ordered tea, cornflakes, paneer pakoda, mix pakoda as snacks and roti, rice dal, veggies for dinner. Coasted around 500 per person for entire thing You would pretty much wanna lay in a chair and enjoy the scenic beauty that it has to offer, right outside your door.

We reached on 29th Dec'17 and at the very first sight of the huts and the mountains around brought a smile The rooms/hut:. Though, we were worried initially that the rooms might not have the necessities to stay at sub-zero temperatures, the hut was great. Had clean washrooms, were spacious enough to accommodate 4 people on bed (though only 2 for sleeping). TV, Heater, Hot water, Towels and all basic facilities were available. 1 small issue was that the heater won't work for too long, I. E ., you'll have to wait for another 20-30 minutes after a person takes the Bath Other than that, everything was great The view:. The best place I've ever stayed. The view from the room was mesmerizing. The mountains look like a scenery which will not bore ever Huge mountains surround you. You get a clear view of mountains of Badrinath The place/location:. The place we stayed at has only 3 major auli resorts:. Auli Resort & Chinchilla Resort. There were people staying in black tents too, not sure what that place's name was Cable car from Joshimath brings you till and then you can take another cable car from to ski point You can also trek to Gurson Bugyal, which we did. It's 5 kms from the resort but for that you'll to cross a forest and i'd advise you to start early Tips:. If you want to see snow, come after 15 January. Internet fooled us to. It says, Auli is covered with snow in the last week of December, but it is not since last 2-3 years. (Though it did snow on 12-13th December, but it'll take a break of 1 month & the snow melts in 3-4 days) Skiing : Nothing to share, we choose to trek Trek : Amazing experience. Avoid going with weak people, it's a steep slope and can be really tiresome Travel : Book a cab from if you are going with multifamily. Bus journey will make it very irritating. We booked a cab from Dehradun and it took us 11 hours to reach Auli Drinks : Buy from Joshimath. There's a bar in also, but that is costly Attaching photos of the huts & the view Enjoy your stay!

Auli is a must visit place but it's better to do your homework before visiting. Hotel was good and the food was awesome. It's difficult for people to manage things here. Everything was good except for the guide suggested by the auli resort manager. He overcharged us. Do make it sure to cross check the rates before you hire someone. Do not take a guide if you are here for skiing only. But guide is a must if you want to go to places like Tapovan, Bhavishya Badri etc. Because it's not easy to locate if you are on your own. The cottages are small but the ambiance is good, the location is great. There are just two other options for auli resorts at Auli, GMVN and Clifftop being the others. Only GMVN is coming up with cottage like rooms which is near 8 no. Ropeway pillar, they looked great but not sure about the rates.

We stayed there. Awesome location and beautiful view from all rooms. In basic amenities, they should provide a bigger boiler geyser than it was. Mere 10 later capacity is too less for one person to bath in one go when there is minus degree cold. Food was excellent.
The rooms allotted to us were fantastically situated with beautiful view of nandadevi range of shivalik. The snowfall happened a week ago before we arrived here, and unfortunately when we reached, we found no snow as it was melted. However, as we expected, the weather was chill and windy too at times. There was a bit problem in the morning for hot water supply but later it was in place. In all we enjoyed our stay a lot. And last but not the least, food was excellent for all vegetarians.

The owner, the caretaker, the staff and specially narender singh his service dedication towards guest for providing them all facilities. Heads off to him. Food was just like home food. Regular water and electricity. They also arranged for us bonfire along with karaoke. The dog jackie there became our frnd. He provides us full security and safety and also drop us to our car the day we checked out. Overall everything d ere was amazing. The view from resort nothing less than heaven on earth. So fresh air sunlight. It walking distance to chairlift and helicopter ride. Good space for parking was also dere. I will rate it 10 out of 10 for everything.

I stayed here in 26-28 Jan 2016. I generally write both pros and cons. But for this place, I haven't seen any cons at all. Pros: 1. Location. It is at a great location with great view from just outside the room. The cable car is also not very far away. The is just adjacent to it, if you need to go there for food. 2. Behaviour of staff. Everyone's greeting you with courtesy and smile. 3. Rooms are very clean and perfect. Heater works perfectly. 4. Bonfire area is nice. In a short, you can book this place without any doubt.

Wooden rooms with attached Bath having hot water available all the time. Room heater, CRT TV, a tea table with 2 chairs and a double bed is provided with each room. Floor is covered with carpet which is not in good condition. Overall nice rooms but could be a bit better maintained. Location is too good (Nandadevi can be seen from the rooms). Food is also very good. The staff are well behaved. Stayed for 2 days in february and its a nice experience staying in auli resort.

The auli resort is clean and well sanitized with all the facilities. The food was delicious. The staff was very hospitable. The location is beautiful with a view of the mountain range and there's snow near the cottages. The cottages are cozy and warm from inside. Washroom is also clean and well maintained. I'd highly recommend anyone going to auli to choose this place to stay. It's definitely worth the money. I'd rate it 5/5. I completely enjoyed my stay here.

Location is perfect, you can reach either by cab or you can take ropeway to tower 8, then chair lift to Auli resort. Alpine hut was perfect to stay, staff was friendly and view from outside the cottage was just perfect. Overall a perfect place

Huts are private and warm due to availability of heaters. Huts have private bathrooms with hot water. Each hut further has a small balcony with chairs. Huts are not very spacious but all necessary amenities are available. Food is good and is served hot in their small casseroles. Garden sitting/ Outside sitting is available for breakfast/lunch in Sun. Overall good experience.

I visited this place last week in match with my friend everything was good location, room and other things but it's to expensive they should reduced the price little bit and open a bar we have to go down for a drink in govt. Guest house.

It was a memorable stay. Cottages were small but good. We stayed during christmas time and entire Resort filled with snow. Service was good and staff was courteous. Food was good too. Watet was problem however. Due to freezing conditions they shut the water valve and we had to fill water in the bucket in advance. Kind of hard to manage though. Could have provided facilities per the money paid. Overall it was good trip.

Hotel rooms are perfect. A little small but everything available in that. Location is also perfect with a breathtaking view. Hot water, delicious food, good service, rope car from Joshimath at rs. 750 for two way & a chair lift for rs. 300 again two way is located just nearby the resort.

We were there in end of december 2021. We experienced awesome snow fall and accumulation of snow. Place is superb, like heaven on earth. Staff is super polite and helpful. You must choose this resort in auli.
