Cosy home-stay. Special credit for the amazing hospitality offered by the caretaker. It's located just beside the wards lake; shillong. Just a 2 min down slope to reach the property. Not a problem at all. We took 2 rooms for 5 persons. Whenever we called caretaker, she responded immediately and with responsibility. Instagram worthy place. Also as this is wooden house, furnitures are not all well condition. You can manage that little bit. Heater and hot water available. Any problem ~ call caretaker. There is a super shortcut to police bazar (beside ward's lake. You can walk in peace. If you are looking for a nice homestay avoiding the chaos of police bazar. You are in right place.

Aura's cottage was a wonderul discovery. Clean and cosy. My stay was absolutely comfortable. Aura's cottage was a great discovery on makemytrip. Com. This place is serene and quite cosy. I loved how relaxed i felt here with the comfortable, clean house and a garden to add to the beauty of the place. It isn't too far from police bazaar and just a 10 min walk makes it an ideal place to stay. The caretaker, prieth, was also quite welcoming and helpful. Had a wonderful stay here. Thank you

I visited shilong on a holiday trip with my wife in month of November .. It was unexpectedly more cold in shilong however our stay at heritage club was warm and welcoming. It's location is amazing with all the beauty although in residential area Room was big and nice with all the facilities. Service was good. Food had limited options but good in taste We would recommend it for a pleasant experience

First I want to clarify that I got the room for Rs 863 and reviewing accordingly. The room was surprisingly big with a king size bed and a back door to the courtyard on the back. Service was good and the caretaker was very friendly. Location is near botanical garden about 1 kilometer from police bazaar(PB). It will not be a problem if you are on your own vehicle or you have to book a cab from PB.

Excellent choice if you want to stay in budget cottage. Clean, adequate and while it is remote from the markets, most of your demands will be met. Food list is limited but quality is fine. The ladies were caring and made all efforts to make us feel comfortable. Make sure that you ask them to arrange for the food bills in case you need one as there is no billing arrangement on spot. Had a pleasant comfortable stay here the caretaker was really hospitable and spontaneous. The parking mentioned on make my trip is deceiving though as they do not have proper parking facilities. The rooms were well equipped with whatever necessary. Location is good. 3-4 kms from police bazar and a few metres from wards lake. You'll get a feel of staying in a bungalow here.

If your are looking to stay in a clean village and the enjoy the true village life and atmosphere, this is the place. Actually this village is as clean as mawlynnong which is awarded for cleanest village. Mawlynnong has more home stays than real houses and feel very artificial. The host is very caring. Ask for guided treks to beat run of the mill tourist spots

Very cute and cozy room, hot water for the bath was available, the towel was provided and just 10 minutes walk from police bazar (central market point). We loved the stay and extended for one more day. Breakfast is an issue because during our visit due to less staff, apart from tea and biscuit, we did not get anything else. Otherwise good.

Aura Cottage is a cozy place and just right to relax and live in peace. The staff are very well mannered and the food is also very good. Overall, a great experience.

It has been a wonderful experience . Would recommend this property to travellers preferring a relaxed stay in Shillong. The location is a bit quaint though, but nevertheless the stay was worth the money. Go for it.

At walking distance from police bazar and with very helpful caretaker. Rooms were clean. Food was not ordered by us therefore can't comment on it. In all a good vibe.

Cute place. Great location. No wifi. Small cosy rooms. Good place for a couple. No wifi.

It was a rented house. Food was served from the outside. It was a hygienic cottage. Room was clean and spacious. All the facilities were provided. There was no security anyone can come inside easily from the front door. Only the management was not good. We have to call before 2 hours for asking something. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Location is little far from city but very peaceful location with zero disturbances. The room is very tidy and has all the basic amenities. The staff is very kind and gets you dinner that you order. I was sick that day and felt like home.

It's a quiet, serene and charming little cottage. Minimal interference and outstanding wifi support. I got all my work done. Ideal for formation as well as for getting together. Very near to police bazaar if you feel like shopping. I recommend this cottage to couples as-from the staff well as business travellers.

Room is good just walkable distance to wards lake but sign board is missing so found difficulty in finding the exact location of Aura Cottage. And cable subscribson needs to be increase .. Maximum sports channel not available
