Baandal River Resort, Maldevta

From dehradun, encountering the sun-day traffic, reached the picturesque baandal river resort-a very calm & serene resort location. One can here the sound of river flowing down below in the valley. The evening & late evening are very pleasant to sit out in the lawns & enjoy the natural beauty & song of the flowing river of the maldevta heights. Nights was very sound & peaceful sleep after grueling & hectic day driving. And morning woke up with the sounds of chirping birds as sun god was smiling too. Excellent & enjoyable breakfast of pane-er parathas, poha, omelette, bread, cold coffee & ginger tea- it was time to pack up & leave for next destination with the family. But i must not forget the very helpful & cooperative manager, mrvikram negi, who is always ever helpful; experienced chef, vikas, who provided excellent grilled fish & tastefully non-spicy dinner; and very laborious helper from rajasthan, rajinder. All in all, it was a beautiful experience which was much away from halla bulla of the city. I recommend people must go & stay on week days so as to be able to enjoy as weekends is always too much of rush & crowded.

Great resort. Definitely recommended ! pros: 1. View is great. 2. Staff is extremely polite and friendly. 3. Cleanliness. 4. Nearby river spot and short treks. Cons: 1. Road to resort is not in good condition as its full of mud and stones. 2. Only vodafone network in the area. 3. Very limited food options nearby, no other shops. Food: both veg and non veg kitchen. French fries, chai, dal makhini were great. There was also a local burass flower juice. Parking: ample parking space.

Hospitality is great. Food was awesome. Location is great in terms of peace. If you want to spend alone and peaceful time away from city life, this is great. View is also awesome especially executive rooms. The only thing you need to look for is road from lal pull to the Baandal River Resort, Maldevta. It's kaccha road and around 3kms. One needs to be little careful while driving.

We stayed as a group for 1 day. The location is exotic and property is very well maintained. The staff was really hospitable and the food served during the dinner and breakfast were awesome. Pols keep your great work

Surrounded by plenty of natural beauty, place is well maintained. Staff and owner are very nice and very good hospitality

the stay was comfortable. host was super helpful,the location was awesome with that river stream its just soothing. you have to just prepare yourself for an off road experience to reach there everything else is 👍🏻

It is advisable to hire a cab for last 6 kms it is not so safe for the ones who does not travel frequently in hilly areas rest other services are very good food, location, rooms etc

Approach road is not good
