Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet

Some of the key points of my stay. Good 👍 1. Excellent location. No denying. 2. It has a lift so carrying your heavy luggage will not be an issue. 3. The staff are welcoming. You cannot show grievance to all because one is bad. 4. Outside food is allowed. 5. Surprisingly though it is near to the main road , but once you close the dorm door there is no sound . 6. There is a kitchen. 7. Excellent view from balcony. 8. The cupboards are big enough to fit two 45 litre back packs. Please bring your own locks and save your belongings. 2. Cleanliness is 0 to none. The place has a pungent smell which might be allergic to some . 3. The toilets are in pathetic condition. Bad👎 1. The breakfast is ok. Better to eat outside or order online. Every morning breakfast is served at 9:00 A.M 2. The cleanliness of the toilet should be better. But then you cannot blame the staff completely. I saw some of the guests not even flush the toilet. 🤦 3. The dorms are in ok condition. The AC works ok. SOME KEY POINTS 1. The kitchen has all the equipments for you to cook your own meal or make a cup of tea or coffee. 2. It has been clearly mentioned in the kitchen that you have to wash your own dishes but I saw people just casually eating and putting the dishes in the sink for some one else to wash. 3. Please get a Night Cap and ear buds because you will be staying with others and they will snore , open the door, check out or turn on the lights. You cannot blame them so it is better to be prepared. If you are travel-ling solo or want to stay in kolkata for work purposes, then i think there is nothing better than the bagpackers park hostel. Its interior desian is magnificent, near & clean. And you will find great friends here that are of positive and friendly nature and the best thing to do here is that the owner & the reception manager is very kind and helpful person. Here you will find a home-like atmosphere. And the most attractive part is it's lobby & balcony. They organises every occasions party. I specially enjoyed my 31st december night party. I was blast! it is located at heart of the city park street very next building to the park Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet. All the best restaurants nd pubs, new market area, metro station, victoria memorial, shopping stores every necessary things are available by walking distances. I will suggest u must visit once in a life if you are traveling to kolkata solo or with your friends enjoying your coffee or favorite drinks, relaxing at night sitting in the balcony enjoying the view & music after spending a hectic day outside, feeling like a home! i will visit soon again.

The place is good for overnight or stays for those travellers who want to enjoy/have work in heart of kolkata. It has good attendants and a kitchen for preparing own tea/coffee/snacks. Toilet/bathing facilities are good. However, following improvements suggested: 1. Entrance to the Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet lobby from main road should be kept clean. Presently littered with roadside kitchen refuse 2. Put road sign with Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet name for easy identification 3. General cleanliness of the rooms for the boarders can be improved with frequent cleaning of wastes

Centeally located next to park Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet. Comes with plenty of dine n wine spots. Amazing host, felt like home and will surely camp in next time i visit kolkota. Few tips to bear in mind, their toilets need thorough cleaning and bit of maintenance. I will recommend 100% to potential travellers even if u have a good budget try the hostel and as the owner says once you stay here you will sure return to stay here.

The Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet is located in the center office the City. The live street of Kolkata that is the Park street. With an effort able price and to stay in the center, this is the best choice. Very friendly environment one can get staying in this Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet. This dome try is one of the best place I have ever visited so far. Why don't you try.

The hostel is very well located. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Lift was not working on my stay, staff helped me to carry my heavy bags. They have a great ambience and it's easy to make friends. Just that if not into smoking or drinking or is looking for a quiet place, this is more like a hanging out hostel and people are smoking and drinking. The kitchen is shared and is non veg.

The stay was good, the beds and washroom were clean and the common areas were also well decorated and comfy. The only sore point was the entry was quite dirty which i think is not in the hands of property owner. But considering the location and the price, it is the most practical stay in kolkata and i loved the experience. The hosts are also very friendly which is a pro.

Travel-led as a solo-backpacker. Met some good folks. Its a good place to chill for a few days. Location is great. Breakfast is bad. Service is sloppy. Sanitization/cleanliness is good. Tge common kitchen is in a poor state. Best part is that everyone comes together to chill in the evenings and that makes up for everything else.

I was stay 2 days at the Backpackers Park Hostel @ParkStreet but they are not providing me free break fast.

Good atmosphere, nice and interesting owner and hostel mates and good location. Bathroom keeps leaking water from the top. Shower doesn't have not water so couldn't take a shower in winter.

The location is very easy to find, no queries about the safety.

Breakfast was amazing. It included west cuisine.

Had a great stay and got to meet new people, the staff were very polite and friendly. Definitely going to stay here next time i come to kolkata. Lovely place. There's room for improvement and they working on it. Hope they get a sign board for the entrance on the main street. Had some difficulty in finding it.

Overall it was very good. EVRYTHING was good

It was a good hostel, 12 people were accommodated in one room. A little more scope for room cleanliness.

I would like to say this is the cheapest place feeling like your own house. So please come and stay at least one night in this hostel.

it’s a great places to live when in the city - well-connected and has a good location, with good food places and nice cafés around. the host is very warm and super helpful and all modern facilities are available at the guesthouse.
