Banasura Hill Resort

The trip to wayanad with my family was planned for three days, during which we stayed at the banasura hill resort that was booked through makemytrip. The overall experience was pleasant and peaceful. There were several positive aspects to the resort. Firstly, the staff were exceptional and provided excellent service. They were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. Secondly, the service at the resort was of a high standard, and we had no issues with any of the amenities. Thirdly, the food served at the resort's restaurant was delicious, and the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Lastly, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, ensuring that we had a comfortable stay. However, there were a few downsides to our stay as well. Firstly, there were not many activities available at the resort, and this was disappointing. While we were informed that there was a swimming pool on the premises, it was not available for use due to maintenance. Additionally, the indoor games were not well-maintained. Secondly, given the hot weather in wayanad, we had planned to spend some time relaxing in the resort. However, there were not enough activities to keep us entertained, especially for the kids. Overall, our stay at banasura hill resort was good, and we appreciated the excellent service provided by the staff. However, we do feel that the resort could have offered more activities to make our stay more enjoyable.

The overall stay at banasura was good. The entire resort has been made out of rammed earth. Very unique and interesting. We had booked earth room thinking it will be better as the size of the room is bigger, indeed the rooms were bigger but did not give a feeling of isolation. The rooms wall were scaling off as it was made out of mud. The amenities are basic nothing that awed us. On the second we saw log hut and thought to upgrade, the staff were kind enough to upgrade us to log hut and we paid 2500 for the upgrade. We faced major issue with food on the first day. We specifically asked the staff for the details of the food, but he was not able to explain us properly what the dishes are. Anyhow, we ordered and did not match our expectation and the morning buffet was also not interesting. Actually there was no morning buffet, as the staff informed the there should be certain number of guest to put our buffet. Anyhow, we complained to the manager and chef about the quality of food. They were kind enough to acknowledge the difference and tried there best to improve. The next day food were little better. One thing we found was the menu is limited and expense. We stayed in Banasura Hill Resort for couple of days during Feb 2020. The very first thing that attracts you is the beautiful resort and they way it has been maintained. Very calm and serene atmosphere. Rooms were clean and neatly maintained. We stayed in a earth room. Staff at the resort is very courteous and helpful. We were totally impressed with the hospitality. We had our own apprehension before the travel since we were travelling with kids to a jungle resort, but all of that was put to rest once we reached the Banasura Hill Resort. Food is excellent and restaurant manager Abhijeet was wonderful. He took care of all our requirements. They even packed us some breads and cookies while we were on our way back as well as for day outing on day two. There are lot of activities to be done within the resort and all of it is part of package. Our tour guide Ravi was again a great help to help us explore the surrounding. Overall a great weekend getaway with delicious food and excellent hospitality.

Banasura hill resort is one of a kind resorts, it is built completely using all earthy materials, from mud walls to wooden lamp shades and tissue paper holders to hangers. It was a very close stay with the nature, wifi is limited only to the lobby, there's no wifi or cellular network available in the entire resort, which was the best part of the stay. The pool is located in the middle of a beautifully curated landscape. To save you from the boredom there's an indoor play-area, which has snooker, fuseball, table tennis, carrom boards, chess board, hoola hoops, hopping balls and a basketball net basket, a library with enough collection of books for adults and children, an art gallery and a campfire place. They also offer a guided trek to the nearby stream and the cave amid-st the tea and pepper plantations. Absolutely no liquor served in the resort. Food was amazing, though the options were limited, each and every dish was cooked to perfection. On whole, the best stay ever.

We stayed in a hut just by side of the lake. The room was clean and properly organised and even the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was included in our tariff and we paid around 700 something per head per meal for lunch and dinner. The food was good. They have recreational rooms but it isn’t maintained as the pool table balls were missing, the carrom board was rough and the foosball table was really small. There is a room with books as well although the collections are less. There is a dedicated camp fire place but since it was raining so we could enjoy that part. The resort also have a dedicated trekking trail which takes you from the camp fire site till the top and then down to reception. Total distance would be 1km or less. There is swimming pool, badminton court, see-saw, slide, etc. Overall the experience was worth it.

It was a pleasant stay. But average for the pricing. Location is beautiful. Very quiet and not a lot of people which can for some people be very relaxing & for some others little too lonely. The road to the resort is not tarred & is steep and stony. Complimentary breakfast and butter chicken was excellent. Breakfast however wasn’t a typical buffet like mentioned and has fixed menu. As mostly senior citizens were travel-ling with me, the walkway path and all activities including the restaurant, pool, indoor games had to be accessed only through long flight is stairs and no lifts were there per the design of the place. It is a better place for younger or rather fitter visitors than older less physical fit visitors. Couldn’t get to peak view and stream for the same reason.

I had a fantastic stay! the location was simply excellent, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. The resort's ambiance was truly inviting, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Staying in resort rooms made of mud is a unique and eco-friendly experience. The aesthetic appeal of mud rooms, with their natural textures and earthen colors, can be quite charming. The food was delicious, and i particularly enjoyed the variety of culinary delights offered. What set this resort apart were the numerous activities available on-site. From nature walks to adventure sports, there was something for everyone. It was the perfect place to relax and immerse oneself in the natural surroundings while still enjoying modern comforts. Highly recommended

We had a great stay at banasura hill resort. The property is situated at a calm and quiet place; which is away from the city. The staff are helpful. We stayed in an earth room. The room was spacious and cozy. There is enough place within the resort to walk around. Will get enough privacy. The area is well maintained. There are enough activities to spend the time; like games and books. Guided and unguided treks are available. Art gallery is also there. The restaurant is having a nice scenic atmosphere. Food served is also nice. Lighting of the rooms were low. The approach road is narrow and is difficult to drive. Overall, we loved the stay there.

The banasura resort team has went to a great length to make sure the resort is in sync with the nature. The location and the landscape around the property is really great. The ambience, service and food actually exceeded our expectations! overall, this stay made us fall in love with wayanad.

A nice place to chill with your family, kids and friends. Nice hospitality, good food. Only con is those roads there in vellamunda, wayanad-are exremely pathetic.

The kids loved it. They didn't have the pool operating but the ambience, activities and good food surely did make up for it. Extra points to the staff for being so polite and friendly with all guests. Surely will go back when in wayanad.

Everything was good we enjoyed the trip, complimentary Breakfast was very good. Chargeable lunch dinner was not good

Rooms should be Air conditioned. Rest everything was great. And I had asked for a piece of cake as it was a special day for us but didn’t have option so had to buy full cake. They should have added as complimentary as well but I ended up paying ~₹800 which I felt was not worth

We went for a short one day trip and stayed in bansura. The view is breathtaking especially in mornings and even better in evening. One top of it the staff is super friendly and immensely polite in behaviour. If you are looking for peace in mid of a forest banasura hill resort is the place for you

Property is setup in a very scenic location with a backdrop of mountains. A place apt for family get together and for couples to enjoy the quiet time. Hospitality - the entire staff is mostly from bihar and they are extremely caring and helpful. Food - they have set menu every day instead of a detailed menu but is curated very well. Spa - it is a bit on expensive side with the kind of services offered. Connectivity - it is good except the last 2 km which is in pretty bad shape. Mobile connectivity - literally no connectivity so a good detox, though the Banasura Hill Resort wi-fi can still be used to connect with outside world.

This place is a little far away from the hustle bustle of the city. It's a nice place to sit back and relax.

We stayed there for 3 day 2 nights and the hospitality was awesome. Views was awesome. Breakfast was also good. Dinner and lunch were very good and service they give is fantastic. Special mention for mr rohit in restaurant.

My family absolutely loved the place! so gorgeous, aesthetically designed, right in the heart of banasura’s exquisite beauty. We went here in off season so the crowd wasn’t much and that ensured that we could enjoy all the resort’s facilities to the maximum. The staff were very friendly, polite, and what really came as a surprise was the food. The chefs at the resort are truly proficient in cooking both north and south cuisines and that made our stay all the more wonderful

It was a good stay and good hospitality.we have choose off session .otherwise it would be more good.👍👍❤️.
