Barefoot at Havelock

stayed in barefoot for 4 days and had booked nicobari cottage. the resort is beautiful and is 100 metres walk away from a section of radhanagar beach which is less crowded. the cottage was spacious and clean. we found a couple of spiders and small gekkos in the room which is common given you are staying in midst of a jungle. staff is courteous and always ready to help with smile on their face. they had decorated our room and offered a complimentary cake for our anniversary. i had booked scuba & tidal walk through them which was fanatastic and must try. tidal walk organized by the naturalists at the resort is very informative and gives different perspective about the marine life. recommend it as it can be done with kids and older ppl who otherwise cant do scuba or snorkelling. had also booked renewal of vows package with them which was totally worth it given the setup they had done at the beach side. you can book a photographer to capture your special moments. the food and drinks seved at restaurant & bar is good though a tad bit expensive. breakfast option was limited but tasty. beach towels are provided and lal chai served during the evening time adds to the amazing sunset experience. dont forget to visit the beach at night (someone from the resort will assist you. overall our experience was fantastic and worth every penny spent.

1)location: i loved the location of this property, as it was a 2 minute walk from radhanagar beach (voted one of the best in asia. It is also just 2. 5 kms away from the start of the elephant beach trekking point; and just 5 - 7 minutes walk to the public bus stop. (it is about a 15- 20 minute drive from the jetty) 2) environment: very nice forest vibe as the resort has taken care to maintain the flora and fauna in the area, and tried to retain as much of a jungle vibe as possible, along with all the modern amenities, to make your stay comfortable. 3) very clean: the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, with fresh sheets, fresh towels, etc. The shower area in my room had a sunroof, which was a bonus. 5) staff: the staff were very helpful and paid attention to detail. Sandeep at the front desk was especially welcoming and guided me about the resort. He gave me a lovely surprise at the time of check in and ensured that i have very pleasant stay. 6) activities: there is a nice bar and some live music in the evening, which makes things very relaxed. The resort also organises other activities like tree walks, night walks, etc which guests can enjoy.

The arrangements were not senior citizen friendly and for families like me who traveled with seniors. There was no prior intimation about the property restrictions. Like improper approach road to restaurant or cottages. Plus, there were no friendly arrangements for the seniors to change their footwear, while the expectations were that for all age groups, even walking in reception or restaurant was barefoot. While the hospitality and food arrangements were good. And especially the food in the restaurant was very good, well cooked and served.

I stayed at tented cottage and nicobari cottage. Tented cottage’s tent was very dirty and even it has torned at many places. Cleaning was not upto the mark behind bed. Lizards came easily in the tented cottage. They did not provide slippers for the room and torch which they provide is very small to walk along with them during night. In room dining services are not there.

Barefoot justifies its title, total nature retreat with minimal technology for people who want to enjoy nature and get away from technology. Beach is nearby and beautiful, food at their swimming elephant is great, always prepared from scratch. Staff are so helpful and humble. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting havelock.

Great Barefoot at Havelock, good food, courteous staff. Located midst of dense trees, able to hear bees, birds chirping, walkable to beach which is clean and neat. Worth staying here with family - a word of caution network only in select locations, no tv, ensure to carry medicine especially to avoid any insect bite.

T hay stay was good resort is an e co friendly place very near to the beach food is quite good but on an expensive side the rooms are well maintained the housekeeping is very good the only issue is there is no room service/television/wifi in rooms/mobile network but it's good on a point to be a complete detox vacay

Excellent property with wonderfully hospitable staff, great food, good rooms, and incredible access to one of india's best beaches. Overall a great place to stay with a host of wonderful activities available.

It’s absolutely pristine place with lots of trees and access to a beautiful beach with amazing marine life. Staff is amazing and enjoyed the cocktails and food range. Rooms are well spaced to give privacy. Activities in n the resort like - inter-tidal walk and scuba diving are very good. Even beginners are good.

A real rainforest stay experience with a 100 m walk to the radha nagar beach. Rooms are spread out giving privacy.

Property is good only for nature addicts and nature lovers beach is very clean and privacy for only residents get prepared for jungle experience not for weak hearted excellent food quality good ambience for eco sustainable stay mesmerising forest within the property don't miss early mornings and sunsets

It is a great property located on radhanagar beach. Beautiful surroundings (right next to the reserved forest) and professional staff. The guided activities offered (for additional charges) are interesting and fun. Must visit!
