Berry Hills Resort

The Berry Hills Resort has great staff and views, and is not too far from the main part of the Ooty town. The main downside of the Berry Hills Resort is that it's in a bit of an inconvenient location - down a small, rocky, unpaved road. The Berry Hills Resort was very good about providing a jeep for transport when we needed, but it was more of a hassle than if you could go directly to the Berry Hills Resort. The views from the room's balcony were absolutely stunning. The room was very clean and comfortable - though we were three people in the room and it would have been nice if they could have provided an extra cot for us. There was an attached restaurant that offered room service, though we never used it. We went to the restaurant for breakfast one morning and it felt a bit disorganized and understaffed. That was one of the few downsides. Otherwise, a Berry Hills Resort in a lovely location, with very helpful staff and amazing views.

The view from the Berry Hills Resort is scenic and beautiful. Rooms are well maintained. Hot water is available 24 hours as there have geysers installed in bathrooms. Food available here is very tasty. The breakfast spread put up in the morning is good as well. Price of food is not costly and not cheap. The approach Road is the worst. No cab or taxi agrees to come till the Berry Hills Resort because the condition of the road is too bad and the Berry Hills Resort is on top of a hill. Taxi and cab drivers will charge you extra money only for this. This place is good for the people who get their own vehicles or have arranged for a dedicated vehicles. If you haven't arranged for any vehicles to roam Ooty and Coonoor. Then you will have to shell out more money for traveling.

We had booked a Superior room in Berry Hills, in the month of May 2017. Once we reached there, we did not want to go out. Every room had a big balcony and the view was just amazing, one gets to see the whole city of Ooty, and the mountains beyond it, specially from the front facing rooms. It looked magical at night. The room and washroom were also good. Hotel staff and service was nice. Food was also good. It lies very close to the Tea factory. Other tourist attractions like Dodabetta peak and the city are also not too far. The only drawback was the access road which was in a bad shape, but they provide their vehicle for pick-up and drop to nearby landmarks. Overall we had an excellent stay at Berry Hills and would love to go there again.

We stayed at berry hills for 3 nights, went there with my husband and in laws and had a comfortable stay. Pros: 1. Spacious rooms with amazing valley and mountain view 2. Hot water at any time 3. Basic but tasty breakfast buffet (primarily south indian with some additional options) 4. Good meals, made to order at other times 5. Front desk manager shankar is very helpful and also helped us get 20% discount at eagles dare adventures which is short hike from the resort cons: 1. Since this is located at hill top, the last 500mtrs drive is bumpy with muddy road 2. Limited staff so don't expect super prompt room service, but u will manage to get what u need. All in all, worth the price totally.

Overall i am satisfied with the accommodation. Special mention to their good and helpful staff. Their hospitality is excellent with the best food at the top of the hill(must try. Cons: 1. The road to the resort should be improved. Some cabs won't take you to the resort entrance due to a bad road. 2. The building definitely needs maintenance like they need to repaint, need to arrest rain leakage here and there. 3. The cleanliness is okay but not up to the mark definitely needs improvement. One thing to mention finally. You would forget all these cons with their good staff and picturesque view point from the room. Recommended for couples

The location and view is very great. Hotel staff gave a very good service. Thanks to mr. Rajshekhar who helped us to arrange local sightseeing trip, as per our requirement. Early checkin is also possible, you just need to confirm with Berry Hills Resort about the availability. The food was very tasty. There is a small problem which is access road to the property. Around 1km of road is bit rocky, not well maintained. But considering all the other great things, i still feel its worth to stay here. You will have a splendid time.

This is a really good place to stay in ooty. The resort is located at the hilltop, which provides a great view of the city. The ambience of this place is very nice and the staff are helpful. This place is located close to the main tourist spots, and they've also got a restaurant for lunch and dinner which serves good food. The room i was staying in had a balcony where one can sit and enjoy the view. Overall, it was a good experience here and i would definitely recommended this place to everyone.

The resort is located on a hill top and provides picturesque view of the town and surroundings. Finding the location is a bit difficult and the path leading to the resort is a steep climb and is in pathetic condition. Room is good but maintenance is poor. There is a restaurant attached with the resort but the food is not that good and is very over priced. Staff are friendly and hospitality is good.

I loved the view from the resort, we had booked a balcony view room and it was very comfortable. The staff was also very courteous, however, it's a bit difficult to get there as the road is bad. Overall loved the stay.

Berry Hills was really an awesome place to visit for couple or for family. Nice place for sight seeing also. Another good thing was food which they provided was outstanding. They will provide breakfast buffet for a free of cost

Location awesome view from of the Berry Hills Resort as Berry Hills Resort is on the top of the hill, you can See the sunset as well. Food is average. Service and staff every thing is nice and well behaved.

Good if u come as family or a couple

Location was superb on the cliff. If looking for romantic and relaxed time go for it. Good food, nice and helpful Berry Hills Resort staff, Clean rooms, Amazing view from room, Must visit place. Enjoyed a lot.

The ambiance is good, food is also good but the concern is location it is not at all easily located and the very difficult to reach to the Berry Hills Resort if you are new in this place.

The food & stay is good. To reach that location is very difficult. The roads are not good for half kilometer and it's more conjusted.

Food was good. Need to make service better for eg. Daily bedsheets change, hand towel was missing, intercom was not working.

Our stay was very good here. Though the staffs were outnumbered due to covid, the manager went beyond his role and took care of everything. Shankar was very helpful and took care of us really well. Though there are few things that needs to be improved, the service makes it look very small and we would ignore it. Would love to visit again.
