The property is situated in a convenient location. It was easy for me and my husband to travel to explore places around the city. The food was great. Both bengali and continental options were available for breakfast with fresh fruits and juices. We tried the fish on one of the days and it was amazing! the staff was very warm and was always available for you if you needed a cup of coffee or tea to enjoy at the property. The hygiene was well maintained, fresh towels, cleaning and laundry services were readily available. We did not particularly face any issues with safety. The staff went out of their way and made sure we had everything we needed. I’d specially like to mention one of the staff members, wasim who made sure our stay was comfortable. He’s particularly attentive to the needs of the guests and makes sure you have a personalised experience at the bungalow and feel like home. He’s also a very good resource for seeking out suggestions when it comes to traveling around the city to explore places and trying to make a special event like birthdays and anniversaries even more special.

The street in front of the bed and breakfast is quite wide for North Calcutta neighborhoods, and has place to Park. The facade and interiors have been lovingly and artistically restored. The rooms we had Darzipara and Mochipara were lovely. Every detail, from the architectural elements to the decor to the amenities have been carefully designed and provided many delightful surprises. There are cozy, aesthetic little nooks to curl up in all over the property, and a lot of interesting Reading material. The food was light and flavorful. We loved the cooler deal that was served for breakfast it was creamy, sweet, subtly spiced and perfect. The staff were warm and helpful and took excellent care of us. I especially appreciate rich it's sensitivity towards my elderly parents' needs. Thank you Calcutta Bungalow! I've splashed your goodness all over my social media and now you are on many, many wish lists. Hoping to revisit myself some time soon.

the vintage / heritage ambience, the sandalwood room diffuser, the vintage brass bathtub, chandelier, the unique and colorful getup of the suits and the pleasant dinning experience both in dinning room and the terrace, the calcutta bunglow has got it all. i must mention washim, and we were pleased with his hospitality but the mutton was a bit undercooked in the lunch, otherwise the meal was tasty both in lunch, dinner. specially good if you visit in monsoon. a place worth visiting. has recommended many of my friends. loved our stay at there. it also intensifies the details of old kolkata cultures and lifestyles starting from utensils to art. loved calcutta bunglow ❤️. no, nothing more to say. it was a pleasant staycation.

Absolutely beautifully restored heritage building in a residential neighborhood. Meticulous decor. Very comfy beds. Tasty breakfast catering to both Indian & western tastes. The only negative is that it’s very noisy & we didn’t get good sleep during our stay. But of course this isn’t anyone’s fault- it’s an old building with neighbours on all sides. Dog fights, cats in heat, hammering……we heard it all . And if you have a room on the top floor, you’ll hear them in the kitchen starting at 7am. They offer ear plugs, but personally I can’t sleep with them in. It’s still worth it for the experience as long as you anticipate that you may not get restful sleep.

The property is a beautifully restored heritage property. Each member of the team right from people at reception, the support staff and the cooks are so kind and helpful to give their best in order to serve their guests. It felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend as it is easy to commute from from shyam bazar metro station which is further connected to many tourist attractions. Special thanks to mr. Looking for a quick getaway in Kolkata, this is one of better options. Tucked in a nice peaceful North Kolkata with great rooms and good services, good to spend the Weekend. Few areas to improve that will definitely attract more local people, the pricing at a higher Side and during our stay there were some ongoing construction work if those can be planned appropriately to avoid any inconveniences to the guests.

The design of the Calcutta Bungalow| Heritage Rooms is comfortably modern and stylish, yet respects and highlights the architectural value of the classic Calcutta bungalow. The ambience was very nice, with a heritage feel, cordial staffs, the food was also nice. Such a pleasant stay.

The rooms really give a taste of old bengal style haveli. But the amenities are all the best of its kind. The staff is very kind and friendly and helpful. They try to accommodate the guests as much as possible. Overall it was a very comfortable stay. I plan to visit again for sure.

The stay was nostalgoc. It reminded of the heritage kolkata. The taste of the foos is truly awsome. The room service was too good. All the staff are very good here

It was an exquisite experience and each room has a unique theme. Staffs were extremely friendly. We stayed at Sahibpara,the room with copper bathtub. It was a wonderful experience. They have two options continental or Bengali. We were spoilt with delectable meal.I will definitely come back and I would like to include Calcutta walks next time which I couldn't this time due to lack of time.

My partner and I had an amazing time - the service was at our beck and call, the tours were both fun and informative, and the food was mouthwateringly good. The aesthetics of the place, was exactly how the photos depict it, giving you a sense that you are in a Tagore novel. Would highly recommend this to anyone coming to Calcutta!

It is far from transactional service you get at high end Calcutta Bungalow| Heritage Roomss. It’s an experience. We were in awe of small details and the simplicity of the place. A must visit place.
