Canada Houseboats

An amazing and memorable experience staying in this houseboat for 3 nights. While the checkin and checkout (with luggages) are convenient through a short 1km shikara ride from across the lake, the houseboat is easily accessible through the back alleys (roads) as well; just a short walk through lush green gardens from the property. The owners-hosts mr am-in and his son mr. Arif are welcoming and helpful, as mentioned by many others in their reviews. They can help arrange taxis or shikara rides on the lakes or even get onboard the boat few reliable vendors if you are interested in shopping for clothes, jewelry, etc. Just a tip to tourists - bring your own toiletries. The rooms were cozy with retractable windows to have a clear view of the lake and beyond on the one side and greenery on the other. The entire houseboat has beautiful wall to wall kashmiri carpets and it was joy to walk on them barefoot.

We got this houseboat for an over night stay in an off season which was a steal deal. It was very clean. Mr Amin took care of all our needs. Although the helper kept telling us his family stories and hard life for extra money. We did give some money but he keeps demanding more. Try not to fall for such emotional traps. It's a calm and beautiful place with an amazing view with a beautiful garden at the backyard. The garden is well maintained and one can spend hours walking, running and exercising in the garden. Kids are playing cricket there the time and are extremely fun to interact with. I was amazed at the cleanliness. The bathroom specially looked speak and span. Newly renovated though. All in all a beautiful stay. Must pick this one over others for the deals they have on MakeMyTrip.

Peaceful location on nigeen lake, with good decor and comfortable rooms. We stayed in lakeview room and it was lovely waking up to views of the lake and mountains. The caretaker mushtaq bhai was available to help with anything we needed. The owner also checked in on us during our stay. Food was basic but tasty. Recommend carrying slippers for wearing inside, as you have to leave shoes outside, and it can get cold on the lake.

Canada houseboat is one of the premium and outstanding houseboat to spend time in. The owner is very friendly and warm towards the guests. Our caretaker mushtaq was also very friendly and attentive towards our needs. Food and view both are very good.

Well maintained room. Food was good. You can have a view of the lake and mountains from your room. Peaceful stay at nigeen lake, away from the crowded dal lake.

It is a well maintained clean houseboat, with friendly host and staff. The bathrooms are updated and clean, the houseboat in itself is authentic, with a history. The food was cooked as per our request and needs. Worth a stay.
