Loved everything about my stay at Maison Perumal. The best thing about the Maison Perumal Pondicherry - a CGH Earth Experience is its staff and their hospitality. They made sure we have the most comfortable stay and even made arrangements for our anniversary. They conduct other activities as well like in the evening you can learn to cook a local dish from the chef etc. I would also like to mention Gopi whom we met through Maison, Gopi is an Aurovillian and gave us a thorough tour of Auroville. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay at this Maison Perumal Pondicherry - a CGH Earth Experience - our room was spacious but dark because it is inward living. Its an old 130 years old heritage home converted into boutique Maison Perumal Pondicherry - a CGH Earth Experience. The ambience is very neat and pleasant, with courtyard all around and nice plants and greenery placed in the courtyard. The staff are pleasing and ready to assist. However the only negative I find is they do not have any kettle in the room for tea/coffee and there is no room service. So if one is used to having a morning cup of tea its very inconvenient to go down to their coffee shop. We had lunch but it was not upto mark. Also the TV in the room was very small and had a very limited channel viewing. However having said that, we enjoyed our stay and can quite understand that a boutique Maison Perumal Pondicherry - a CGH Earth Experience has its limitations but as far as comfort is concerned, we had a good stay.

Despite the smaller size of the Hotel (the only drawback if one compares to properties of similar value), Maison the Primal offers large wonderful rooms, excellent service and Maison Perumal Pondicherry - a CGH Earth Experience environs that have a welcome ambience of rich Tamil heritage. One of my best stays in Pondy and the location is also quite convenient, if not one among the high end properties near the beach. The only shortcoming would be a lack of daylight in the room (though we had large shutter windows that could be opened to the back alley) and bathrooms that are a tad too tight (especially the shower space and otherwise also), probably due to the retrofit. Nevertheless, the entire experience is memorable and we would definitely revisit.

Had an amazing experience with my husband and daughter here, such friendly and helpful staff that they make you feel at home and so comfortable. I will surely be coming back again. The size of the room and washroom is also good as it’s a heritage property the feel of the place is amazing, the food is so tasty. Kudos to the team of excellent chef. They have some amazing things to do while at property like the cooking lessons, rickshaw tour etc that you should experience while you stay here. I would like to thanks mr. Jason and everyone else at mas-ion perumal for making our vacation worth remembering and so so comfortable! m

Nestled in a typical Tamizh neighborhood, this premium property offers an excellent fusion of Tamizh and French architectures. Spacious rooms and well planned toilets with all amenities without losing that heritage feel. Well structured check in process which includes an orientation to the neighborhood and the Town in general. Overall styling and decoration of common areas support the overall theme of premium heritage property. Helpful staff with a desire to serve. Organizing a parking facility in a nearby ground was a welcome relief as parking in the narrow street is next to impossible. Food is very good as well.

The check in was smooth and hassle free. The crew was wonderful and welcomed us with sweet lime drink and jasmine garlands. The room is quite big with a large comfortable double bed and aesthetic interiors which retain the heritage feeling. The restaurant menu is limited but offers some of the best food in pondicherry. The Maison Perumal Pondicherry - a CGH Earth Experience is child friendly and offers various activities to the guests. Special thanks to elby, jaison, kayat, malaswamy and the entire team of mason perumal for their warm hospitality.

Sanitizer available at multiple points, all staff well masked and gloved, social distancing scrupulously observed. Very comfortable large room. Cool enough to not need even air-conditioning. Location close to shopping and market. Little far from promenade beach. Food prepared to order daily but limited choice as covid guidelines are implemented so may become little boring by third day. All staff very polite cordial and helpful

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. Worth eating in the Maison Perumal Pondicherry - a CGH Earth Experience. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. You have access to good internet service in the rooms. Its a converted Chettiar house and the wood panelling, furnishings, and photos on the wall reflect the rich history of the house and the family that occupied it. Very good value for money spent.

We had fantastic experience at mason perumal for two days. Ambience, food and hospitality, all at par.

Well located in the hub of restaurants in the french township. They have separate place for car park with valet service and we can have comforts of our car or walks ( beach and restaurants are close by and don’t need car)

It was an excellent experience to stay at mason perumal. The staff was very friendly and the lovely grand room was spic and span. Will definitely go back and recommend to others as well.

It’s a beautiful property and has a heritage value to it. Staff is very cordial and helpful. Difficult to locate but from inside the property is just wow! food menu includes traditional tamil cuisine which is out of this world! overall an excellent stay! will definitely visit again!

Rooms are really good, the heritage setup adds to the charm. Breakfast spread is very basic. Decent option for a night or two. Nothing extraordinary

A pleasant stay where everything is perfect

Loved our stay here. Wonderful traditional architecture. The place has a great vibe. Food was very good. The staff led by elby was super helpful during our stay and activities.

The room was so amazing. It was minimal but comforting. They upgraded our room upon request which was deluxe and it was spacious. The people there were very welcoming. Drank a filter coffee in their restaurant which was amazing. Moreover the morning breakfast was so nice.
