Chandys Windy Woods

Let me start the review of Chandys Windy Woods with their outstanding customer service that not many Chandys Windy Woodss (even the famous brands) can match. And, I am saying this with confidence. It could be because of the property's location, food quality and variety, amenities, courteous staff. And this is precisely where Chandys Windy excels, and the reason what makes my wife and me big admirers of this Chandys Windy Woods. Chandys Windy Woods is located slightly below Munnar (6-7 km away from the town) along a hill. Excellent architecture of the property with reception at the top and then other floors down the hill with each set of rooms surrounded by a unique theme (artificial forest). Rooms are good, expected from a premium property. Balcony in every room offers a lovely view of the hills covered in mist and tea plantations, that is all Munnar special. Even their terrace offers stunning views of the hills. Food options are limited with 1 restaurant. But they prepare all cuisines in good quality. South Indian, north Indian, Chinese, Italian are good. Portion size is excellent and prices reasonable. Now let me come to my favorite part about this Chandys Windy Woods. Customer service, of course. Bejoy, one of their duty managers is a superstar employee (I am not exaggerating) who took us for a tea plantation walk in the evening, prepared a wonderful passion fruit drink in the evening during in-house trekking and was a good conversationalist. That's where the story begins. My wife and I wanted to have a candle light dinner but it couldn't be done outside because of inclement weather conditions. The next day, the restaurant offers us a complimentary candle light dinner table inside. When we came back to our rooms after a sumptuous dinner (with a complimentary dessert included), we found our bed decorated with rose petals. The mastermind was, Mr. Bejoy. Next day at the time of check-out, Bejoy comes and asks for our photograph of wife and me. And within next 10 minutes, gifts us a mug with that photograph. I can understand about 1-2 superstar employees, they are in every organisation. But I would be unfair in not telling about their super courteous restaurant staff, housekeeping staff and basically every employee who carries a smile and treats guests with utmost respect. Though I couldn't talk to their gm, Mr. Thomas but it's a lingering question in my head, how do you institutional are such levels of customer service across levels. On a philosophical note, I am sure this Chandys Windy Woods can offer great learning to business organisations looking to improve their customer service. On a practical note, I would strongly recommend anyone visiting Munnar to stay in this Chandys Windy Woods to make your trip even more memorable.

We had a wonderful stay during the Easter break of 2023 at Chandys Windy woods resort in Munnar. It was our Honeymoon and my wife and I intended to make it extra special and finally zeroed in on booking rooms at Chandys. We chose the Super Deluxe rooms with magnificent tea plantation views in the balcony.The rooms were super clean and all amenities of a 5 star Chandys Windy Woods were present.The toilet and hygiene standards commendable.I felt a bathtub also would have been nice though Undoubtedly the best part of the stay was the food and restaurant experience. The breakfast and dinner buffet were fingerlicking good 😄 add to that live music performances at the dinner buffet. The staff took great individual care and attention and made us feel at home.They were kind enough to arrange a Candle light dinner for us on our last day. I would never forget the Amazing experience i had during my stay at Chandy's.So much so that me and my wife were already planning our next visit even before checking out 😂

This place was an absolute delight to visit and stay at. I fell in love with so many aspects of this beautiful resort. First of all the scenic beauty that surrounds the property, absolutely beautiful. Then comes the beautiful artificial forest and waterfalls that they have constructed within the property, that too is just stunning. I loved every part of my meal and snack i've had the pleasure of tasting. Now the service, such friendly and amazingly well mannered staff who are at your service for almost anything and everything you need. If you want to eat something that's not on the buffet or not even on the menu they will make it happen so that you have a wonderful time at the property. Finally the spa was an added bonus for me, amazing ayurvedic massage and steam bath that will help your body and mind relax for a very good amount of time. I am very delighted to have also met mr. Nibu who is the gm here who helped us in every way possible. Would love to visit this place again very soon.

We had stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. This was our wedding anniversary trip. I didn’t even expect the way they made a setup with cake, candles, led lights and wedding anniversary arch that made out day so special and we were so happy about it. Special mention about the food, it was too good and authentic buffet of every kind cuisine specially the kerala food on the buffet was way too awesome. Chef honey, pradeep and bi-joy were taking good care of us every time we had a meal, they made sure everything was perfect on the table. We enjoyed every day’s specially curated activities like sand art, learn cooking, towel art and karaoke. Special mention to there artificial forest and water falls inside the property was very creative engineering one can imagine it feels so real and the rooms had a very good view and hygiene levels were top notch. The resort is built in a very beautiful location surrounded by lush green tea plantations and very aesthetically designed with all the elements inspired from the nature. The inhouse trekking consisting of a waterfall as you got to your rooms, was something unique and beautiful. You feel very serene and peaceful. We stayed in premium deluxe and the rooms were quite spacious and amazing views from the balcony and the windows. The staff is very hospitable, cordial and they make our stay very pleasant with surprise room decoration and dinner tablenin thebopen terrace. The basic amenities in the room are also taken care of nicely. There are different activities that you can do like games, cycling in the forest, gym, etc. Overall an excellent stay for our munnar trip.

It was our first experience at Chandy's Windy Woods and they really exceeded our expectations... The hospitality and service were beyond words and the food was sooo delicious... The ambience, scenery, in-house trekking... Everything is so commendable... We really appreciate the efforts the staff and management takes to make the guests feel special... One of the top resorts in munnar. All the amenities available there was awesome. Staffs are courteous and always available without a delay. We booked a ac deluxe room and it was mind blowing with beautiful view from balcony. Apart from this they are maintaining a well clean surrounding. V had a luxurious stay. For all pool lovers, this resort is best. They maintain a warm pool amid-st of munnar cold climate. Complimentary breakfast was super delicious and had multi cuisines. The scenic beauty around and inside the resort are ecstatic. Must visit resort. Its lil expensive, but its worthy

It’s a good place to stay in munnar. Amazing architecture of the building. The staffs are friendly and they always keep on asking you about the stay and quality of the services. Sometimes it may become boring. However i felt happy that they are doing it. Only thing i was concerned was about the rice that was served. It’s so sad that they couldn’t serve a good quality parboiled rice which is healthy and tasty. Also there was no much variety of food available during lunch time which they should pay more attention. Overall it was a good stay.

Extremely safe and extremely beautiful resort

Travel-led along with my family. Easy to locate the resort, ample parking available. The overall experience was good, room were spacious and neat. Housekeeping is exceptional. The hospitality is exceptional. Food is average, can be a lot better. It would make the entire experience much better. Overall i can say that chandys windy woods is a great place to come and relax with your family. The staff here is well trained and very friendly.
