Cherai Onetree Retreat | Rooms in a Villa

I don't think we get another property which has rooms so close to the sea when you take the sea view room. Most of the other properties including resorts have a seaview room just for the namesake which doesn't actually serve the purpose. We, especially my 3. 5 year old enjoyed being there. We can keep looking on the sea from the room. It's so nice to be there for those who would like to just sit back and watch the beauty of the sea and not venture out to play in the beach (those who likes to play on the beach or sit on the beach can go to the beach which is hardly a kilometer away) and may be sip beer or coffee. When we open the sliding window, we can really feel the mighty sea. The waves just come right onto you. For those who stay in the normal rooms can utilize the common area where there are long chairs to sit and enjoy. The hosts are young and energetic guys who manage the kitchen as well. The breakfast did not have a spread of items, but whatever they provide has some quality - they served appam & egg masala. Gave a boiled egg separately for my baby before even requesting for it. The coffee was so so nice! though we did not try any other items here, the smell coming from the kitchen clearly says the quality of the cooking. We did not order anything from here bcuz they need ordering in advance. We ordered from one sivettante kadai where everything was yummy. Had a chat with the caretaker too who gave a lot of info about the surrounding places and possibilities of fun activities around. Altogether the stay was so so cool!

The place can be more appropriate to be described as a home stay. There were 2 caretakers who were supportive and took good care of guests. The rooms were average based on facilities but good in cleanliness. The main advantage is the awesome view of the sea and they have a roof dining area as well. The food served was good but can be improved. Not recommended for people who need to have a luxurious beach stay with family.

Property location is great for a short stay. A day or two at the maximum to enjoy cherai and nearby beaches. I would like to specifically give my appreciation to the staff member ‘raghu’. He takes care of all your needs on priority and cooks really awesome food. Loved his hospitality. The stay is best within budget with really good standards when compared to other close by resorts.

It was a nice experience spending a night in the one tree beach retreat cherai. We had a short walk to the nearby beach and had a great sunset view. Spending the evening time in the veranda outside room was excellent. Sound of waves outside room during night was a great experience. Overall a nice stay. What a beautiful location it was. As a traveler i have never seen such a beautiful location close to see. This property was just waoooooooooo. Staff was gud and very cooperative. From the window of the room we were able to see the full sea. For the wonderful l experience, it was the perfect place.

The homestyle food and service were excellent staff were available for any request we had. The manager was especially welcoming and helpful, and showed us around. Warmly recommend one-tree for anyone needing rest, with ocean view and nothing but the sound of birds and waves

The stay at onetree was amazing. The service at the rooms was commendable. The food was between good and excellent. The main attraction of the villa is the sea view, both, from the room and the backside of the villa. I will refer to my friends about this stay

We stayed there as a family.View from the deck was amazing. They even allowed us to early check in. We even saw Dolphin from the deck 👌🙂. Food was awesome .But they should add more Room lighting. Otherwise Stay was awesome. Definitely visit again.

Sea view rooms and common area ocean view is worth every moment spent. In house restaurant and services are bit slow food is tasty. Overall once a lifetime experience to sleep and wake up by the sea like inside a cruise ship. Nothing else, thanks

Lonely place, courteous staff, comfortable stay, tasty tea and breakfast, picturesque view, however a little bit costly. No nearby market or travel arrangements.

We decided to go on an office trip. We chose cherai and the resort cherai one tree retreat was amazing. The caretaker jerry was very pleasant with the guests. The food he prepared for us was also splendid. Overall i would rate 4/5.

Amazing stay, worth watching the view, staff was cooperative especially akshay.
