Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling

It was a delightful experience to be at Magpie Chestnut for 4 nights during early March. Along with the beautiful resort our stay and experience was punctuated by presence and care by very attentive and sincere staff members all the while. Led by Mr Udeshya ,the manager in charge, the entire team was dedicated to the guest to make their stay comfortable. The Food & Beverages section ,front ended by Mr Diwakar and team of able,polite and caring members ensured that guests are attended well . Mr Anant Subba,the master chef created magic of serving elaborate menu during the breakfast and dinner. Menu used to be all new every day and made with elegance and fine touch.It had everything that would fit to taste of guests from different places visiting from India and abroad. Special thanks to Sandhya,who served at restaurant in her polite demeanor,always eager to help.Thanks also to Sam at reception and many others who were silently present around to help. We stayed at the cottage room with big balcony and very comfortable interiors. Along with room heater ,they had provided electric bed warmer inside. The views of mount Kanchenjunga from room and balcony was simply superb.At laps of nature , surrounded by chirping birds and embracing clouds, Magpie Chestnut is an abode for peaceful nature lovers.

If you are a person who prefers peaceful, serene, luxurious stay over the main city crowd then this Magpie Chestnut Resort is the best option for you without burning a hole in your pocket. They have a total of 3 properties at Pelling i.e. Magpie Pachhu Village Resort, Magpie The Chestnut Retreat and Magpie Villa gradually built on top of a beautiful hill with a magnificent view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and the main pelling city. We have experienced staying both at the Villa being the best among the three and the Pachhu resort. Great hospitality, food and comfort stay , I can guarantee you wont need anything else. They even have their own private road to connect among the 3 magical resorts , the whole area is beautifully maintained and decorated. I loved every beat of my stay there and would love to come back again. Among the three properties Magpie Villa deserves extra brownie points for each and every small detailing they do to please the guests.

Stayed there for two day and it was just beautiful. The service is great and the staff is really really good. The best part was just pull the curtains and get the best view. Loved the vibe of the place. There were two things that were a little on the bad side not completely negative- First the way, to find the resort was a little struggle especially if you are reaching later in the evening. Secondly the breakfast buffet-it wasn’t a big spread and what ever was there was ok but they could include at-least one local dish which would be a stand out cause people would love to relish on the local food and culture. Also, everything is mechanical, no key cards- so you have to turn off everything. But again having said that I would recommend this place.

We had a short stay at this magpie property. A comparatively new property, the rooms are quite nice and reasonably sized. The fire chimney was not operable and they provide you with a tiny room heater which is not much use. The best part is the spectacular views of kanchenjunga you get from this property. The restaurant staff and the food they serve of good quality and that was satisfactory.

Chestnut retreat is an amazing place in terms of view for Kanchenjunga peak!! The staff is friendly and courteous. The rooms are spacious and cozy for a couple or 3 people max. The dinner was good but breakfast was below average! Only things that disappointed. Else it was perfect!! The views were mesmerising!!

The resort is beautifully designed and literary sits in the lap of nature. Kanchenjunga mountains are just in front of you. Rooms itself give breathtaking view of mountains. Very courteous staff. Very well maintained property. Easily the best place to stay in pelling.

One of the best stays. Beautiful views and cordial staff made our vacation very pleasant and delightful. The classic chicken curry was our favourite in the menu. Thanks to all staff members.

Everything was top - notch and absolutely value for money. View from the Balcony was awesome.Early morning, there is a clear cut Kanchenjunga view. Room is cosy and well maintained. Staff is courteous and goes the extra mile to please the guests.

This resort has amazing views of mt. Kanchenjunga which you can see from the room itself. The garden is very beautiful. Rooms and food are also good.

The rooms were very neat & clean. The property was peaceful. My son enjoyed at kid's park. The stuffs were helpful. We had an amazing stay there and hope to visit soon again.

A beautiful and charming Magpie Chestnut Resort Pelling in Pelling . The staff is very courteous and helpful. The food quality is good and has all amenities. The drawback is that noise tends to come from the adjoining rooms if the guests are loud.
