Chettinadu Court

The aesthetics, people, ambience, food and service speak of dedication and commitment to upholding the dignity and elegance of a beautiful past. The amenities provided are almost luxurious. I have never met people so proud of their history and yet so cheerful and warm and welcoming. An exercise in artistic curation and a perfect retreat for travellers on a quest for beauty. Thankfully it is not commercialized(yet) and therefore not for mindless tourists looking for shallow, noisy, garish entertainment and gimmicky activities.

We were a group of four ladies and were allotted rooms ashtalakshmi and gajalakshmi. The staff and managers mr gopi & ms deivyani made our stay a pleasant and comfortable one. Service by staff was courteous and very polite. The only inconvenience was the non-functional restaurant. For senior citizens it can be difficult, although mr gopi made every effort to provide room service breakfast. On the whole, a very pleasant experience and many thanks to all at the chettinad court.

The location is pretty central to kanadukathan. The sights in kanadukathan and the bus stop is closeby. The stay was very neat and beautiful. Really cozy and comfortable rooms. Need to walk to their chettinad mansion property for meals and the swimming pool is also a short walk away. But both were very good. The staffs and manager are really friendly and helpful. We felt very safe in this property as women. Would highly recommend.

Staff extremely courteous and helpful. However as a person of the hospitality industry who operated in remote mountains and national parks not having a tent in the front garden for breakfast is not justified. Trek to mansion is not convenient. Hope it can be resolved.

5. Friendly staff, great clean rooms location and food excellent. Best way to rewind away from the mud-ding crowd. Breathe fresh air and stroll along clean boulevards enjoying views of palatial homes. Would definitely revisit

The stay was good with neat and clean room. Staff was very friendly and supportive. We have to walk around 500 mts for food arranged as they don’t have a restaurant. In case if it is raining then it would be difficult.

Very neat and calm place. One can enjoy the typical chettinad style stay. Food taste was good. Amenities are good.

Property was w not ll maintained clean room amd toilets. Staff were friendly. For food we had to go their other property about 10 mys walk. Food was very good but a bit overpriced

Decent accommodation. Breakfast was the highlight of, though had to walk a couple of minutes to get to the place, it was worth it.

Nice homely and comfortable stay experience. Had to walk some distance for food but it is not a problem as we get to see old traditional places and buildings on the way.

Clean and neat. For food you have to walk ten minutes to a different property of theirs where the food is usually served. Monday morning breakfast was limited. Slightly costlier for the value.
