Club Mahindra Thekkady

Bang in the middle of city. Property is nice. Rooms are large and spacious. Food is excellent, wide-spread and expensive. Not all the times you are hungry enough to eat a lavish buffet. There are cheaper food options available in 5 km vicinity. Thekkady as such did not have much to offer with lot of hype and an elephant farm, which is a private property. Boat ride at Periyar lake has to be done which turned down expectations - animals do not wait for you to visit them while drinking lake water! Kalari show was nice. Spice village also looked over hyped.

This is well located, close to Periyar lake, otherwise we could not have made it to the lake boating. There was so huge rush, and you have to be in queue by 5. in the morning. Accommodation was good, but not to the price quote by Club Mahindra, too much distance to walk inside the property and thin walking lanes and they are not clean, slippery and ups and downs. Rest all was good. Food is very expensive, and there was a nice restaurant near by called Ambady that is best place to eat nearby.

The resort is in good location, but between many other resorts. The Rooms have been quite small but Good and kept Clean. Facilities offers is much less compared to the other club Mahindra resorts. Food has been excellent in the resort but expensive, if Bargained they give the same for a cheaper price. I would say go for a Food package like (breakfast & dinner, lunch & dinner or dinner and dinner if it is more than one day trip).

Best Hotel in Thekkady to stay. The rooms are very comfortable but the food is average. The Club Mahindra Thekkady is in good location near to Periyar lake. The main market is also near to Hotel where the travelers can buy species and chocolates which are famous in Thekkady. The best part of the Hotel is that they can arrange Jungle safari and other sightseeing in Thekkady. The facilities are good in Hotel. Value for money.

The Club Mahindra, Thekkady resort is within a live rain forest. In constructing this resort I suspect no deforestation has taken place. It is a privilege to stay amidst the age old teak and other majestic trees and with coffee pepper and other spices. This is at least a one time visit for all on earth, and I will come here again and again.

Rooms are good but seemed the resort itself under maintenance so that was the disappointment, food is crazily expensive, breakfast spread was very good by quality and quantity, Showerknob of bathroom was disastrous, even given specific complaint housekeeping were unable to fix it though had to ask for another bathroom.

Location was excellent !! Food was good. Rooms neat and clean. Staff always at your service. Two things that weren't good - no bottled water in the room just regular water in a milton flask and breakfast was not ready on time that delayed our jeep safari. Otherwise v really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful days stay. The rooms main door curtain is see through. Needs attention. Bath room does not have curtain. Food is not as good as in Munna Mahendra. No evening entertainment. If no body attends means they don't like what you are offering. Have some cultural shows instead.

Food is okay but better places can be explored ... Service is slow, it was raining and despite reminders they could not send ... Also overall quality of Club Mahindra Thekkady is not as great as other Mahindra Club Mahindra Thekkady ... Poorly kept

Staying in Mahendra is always a pleasant. We can stay in club Mahendra for more than one night and enjoy a lot. They have very much facility to enjoy as swimming, play house for children, spa is also very much clean and hygienic. One of the best place to enjoy.

Loved the spacious room and the decor. Best Club Mahindra Thekkady amongst the ones provided during the trip. The staff was very courteous and helpful and went out of the way to provide support. The resort is very well made and maintained. The buffet breakfast was also good.

To begin with the check-in was swift and before time. The overall feel and ambience of the resort was good. The room given was fine but the bed could have been more comfortable. The staff was polite and ready to help ..

Property was excellent as the name says. Though we stayed for a day but enjoyed that little time. Staff was very helpful. The only feedback is that other Club Mahindra Thekkadys provide complimentary mineral water whereas the same was chargeable over here.

Overall a good experience. Except monkeys the trip and stay was awesome. Club Mahindra thekady has lots of monkeys. But they did not harm us. So suggestions of all club Mahindra members, relax is the word at thekady.

It was a good experience to stay in Club Mahindra at Thekkady. The rooms and Amenities are well maintained also the resort property is very good. The complimentary breakfast was nice however meals were too costly.

The style of rooms is not like a typical Club Mahindra Thekkady but more like a cottage resort. Bottled water is not offered as they say tab water is drinkable. Location is convenient and close to market and other spots. Food is really nice. Hotel staff are a bit lazy!

The resort landscape is very good, facilities are also great. Some improvement needed in maintaining the cleanliness of wash rooms. Food is very costly, as usual for all properties of club Mahindra. Good time to visit Thekkady is October to February.

We enjoyed a lot. Resort looks really cool and beautiful. Location of the resort also good. We were in onam time so enjoyed the onam celebration also. Lunch provided by them on onam (sadya) was excellent.

Food was below average than any of Mahindra Resorts, Had very bad experience with recreational organiser Mr Madan due to which I had to reschedule my time management causing me significant stress and unhappiness, Especially as he was non apologetic.
