Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom- a CGH Earth Experience

this was my second stay in Coconut lagoon....last one was an year ago and we enjoyed that to the maximum...my daughter always tells about her memories at coconut lagoon and so decided for a second one..... checked in by 12 noon on the vishu day and as usual a very warm welcome at reception. we had booked the pool villas this time as my daughter wanted this time to be in the pool and she didn't want to go for sunset cruise.....her to do list was play in pool....butterfly garden visit and fishing..... checked in the room and room as well as pool found to be too good.... she enjoyed the pool maximum. but missed her fishing as no one was there to assist like our last visit. the property is well maintained and service also was good at Front office and restaurant. we found the food quality is not the same like last time....the bf buffet spread not upto the mark....dosa was not good and porotta was hard and seems to be old ones. need to maintain the standard of food. the evening cultural programe was boring with no life....we had asked for a pool float for our daughter but did not get it and housekeeping says that the one they had has a hole and forgot to repair..this reply was totally unacceptable from a Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom- a CGH Earth Experience with pool villas and a full fledged pool. we found lot of ants in the room soon after check in and informed hk on it they came and cleaned but night also could see ants cong inside....need to have this also checked. the areas needed to have attention is the food quality....the responsibility of hk dept. These needs to get improved and hope that this won't repeat during our next visit. special mention of the front office staff jose and the two ladies at restaurant. they were too good.

Coconut lagoon resort is truly a paradise for nature lovers. Beautiful canals and exquisite greenery,Picturesque views throughout the resort. It made us very relaxed, away from hustle bustle of city life. The resort has various spectacular places to go around such as the butterfly garden which has so many variety of beautiful butterflies, fishes, turtles, herons , the pool and sitouts throughout such as vembanad lake front are breathtaking. Sunset on the lake looked enchanting. Have attched photos to show the beauty. We took Kerala massages which were so calming and took all our tiredness away. We loved them, they were totally worth. The staff here is also really nice, warm, helpful and hospitable. Special thanks to Shahnawaz Hussain from cleaning department to save my mobile which I accidentally dropped in 4 feet waters in one of the canal. He jumped in and fetched it out quickly. We were very thankful and also offered a token of gratitude in terms of tip but he politely refused and just said that he's happy to help the guests.The housekeeping staff is also very prompt when called upon for cleaning the accidently broken glass water bottles, they cleaned everything thoroughly with a smile. The entire Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom- a CGH Earth Experience staff is great. Josna from restaurant was very helpful too and suggested good options for food and took care of our daughter's food requirements such as non spicy food etc. Thanks for making our stay memorable. We will look forward to come back and recommend Coconut Lagoon to everyone.

My recent stay at coconut lagoon resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment i arrived, i was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the staff. They not only made me feel welcome but went out of their way to help organize a memorable birthday celebration. The decorations they arranged were simply breathtaking, adding a special touch to the occasion. The private pool villa rooms at the resort are a true marvel, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Waking up to the serene views of the coconut palms and the backwaters was a surreal experience. The culinary journey at coconut lagoon was a gastronomic delight. The buffet spread was diverse and included an array of seafood dishes that satisfied my taste buds. I couldn't resist indulging in the flavors of kerala, and the traditional dishes were nothing short of spectacular. What truly sets coconut lagoon apart is the unwavering dedication of the staff. They never once said no to any request, no matter how extravagant. Their attention to detail and commitment to making every moment special left a lasting impression on me. Location of the property is very good. Peaceful. Guests are taken in a boat to the property from the parking lot. The resort is very clean and safety standards were followed. Would have liked more vegetarian options in the ala carte menu. Buffet option is provided only if the occupancy is high. The complimentary sunset cruise duration can be reduced - people got bored after a while. The heritage bungalow which is shown as lake facing is technically not facing the lake in the way one would expect. Ours was facing a narrow stream that fed into the lake - so not much of a view. The butterfly garden was good, the bird watching session was also good (for those into it. Did not try the pool and the kayaking. Overall a good and clean property with good food and one can spend a couple of days here. Felt the rates were bit on the higher side in terms of value - but have not stayed in similar properties, so cannot compare.

Me and my husband decided to take a break and u wind in nature, and we couldn’t think of a better place. Coconut lagoon resort is exceptionally beautiful! it is an experience by itself. We had to enter the resort on a boat, around 15 mins ride. I was awestruck by the beauty of the backwaters. We stayed in a pool villa, soo glad we made that choice because the jacuzzi pool was where we spent maximum time of our stay in coconut lagoon, next favorite spot being lounging along the backwaters. We also went on a houseboat ride along the backwaters and what do i say? it was magical! kayaking also was a fun activity we did the next morning and spotted soo many birds. The food is great, a little bit on the expensive side, but i guess it’s worth the money and everything tastes soo fresh like it’s picked from farm to fork.

We had an amazing stay at the coconut lagoon. It's a beautiful lake side property with well maintained and spacious rooms and lovely surroundings such as the butterfly garden! umesh & vishnu - the naturalists conduct various engaging activities throughout the day and share a lot of knowledge. Also, special thanks to thomas and lekha for the lovely welcome and making us feel at home throughout our stay! the restaurant staff also provide you with commendable service and even helped me with special requests as my mom was fasting on one of the days. The evening live music and classical dance performances are something to look forward too! we highly recommend this for a vacation to all our family and friends and would definitely be coming back here when possible!

Had a wonderful 2 days staying in the heritage bungalow. The location is amazing, at the edge of the lake and is accessible only via a ferry. There is a long sweeping lakeside walk, surrounded by coconut trees which is absolutely amazing. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both great and gave us an opportunity to savor some local varieties. But the best best thing about the resort has to be the staff, from the man who greeted us at the parking jetty, to the ferry drivers, reception staff, restaurant staff, security guards and even the naturalist at the butterfly garden. All were always smiling and ready to help. Gave us a feel of home away from home. Will be back again for sure.

Cg h earth stands for cleaner greener healthier earth. Staying true to this motto cg h coconut lagoon gives you a glimpse into the old ways of living in kerala in a modern setting. If you are from tulunadu or kerala, the cottages will spring up childhood memories of visiting your folks during summer holidays. The cottages are spacious, authentic and well equiped. Its a good example of taking the best of both the ancient architecture and modern technology. Staff is excellent, property is superbly maintained, the ayurveda center masseuses are quite knowledgeable, sunset cruise is soothing. The only qualm i have is the food. There is less options to choose from and tastes very bland.

You can enjoy the kerala culture and theme here in resort. It is calm and clean resort. They will pick you through boat jetty and you need to park your car away from resort. You will get a awesome welcome with basuri song and coconut drink. There heritage mansion is duplex with classical kerala style build. Hospitality wax awesome and my kid likes vishnu company and friendship

Very beautiful and serene property. You'd always hear birds chirping. They org-anise many activities for guest like sunset boat ride and cultural dance performance. The rooms are big, beautiful and clean. The staff is extremely helpful and kind.

Our hearts are deeply touched by their warmth and hospitality. We never had any boring moments throughout our stay at coconut lagoon. Everyone single person was so helpful, specially lekha, mr. Elby, jijo, ajeena. Everything was just perfect, food was excellent, the ayurvedic massage was fantastic, the evening cruise was surreal. It was a whole new experience staying here and would highly recommend everyone who's coming to kumarakom. Thanks again for making my visit pleasant and memorable. Tip: just book it, it's fantastic

Amazing resort with mesmerising natural view of the backwater and lagoons. Abundance of activities hosted by the resort. Helpful and courteous staff. Worth every penny that you spend

It was a wonderful stay at this property. Staff was very polite and helpful. All was good. They need to improve in vegetarian variety in breakfast ( especially for north indians).

One day is not enough to enjoy the place and culture. Will definitely plan for couple of days next time
