Contour Backwater Resort

Rooms are super clean, western standard. Just the toilets were a bit smelly. Kids had fun im the pool. Food was good too.

We were at the resort for a wedding function and arrived the previous night.Room had two litres of water and any extra was charged.Am surprised that in Kerala,water which should be free was charged for.The food was good but chilly fish which we ordered was exorbitantly priced and had small bones.Not expected from a star resort.But otherwise a comfortable stay.

Great ambiance and top-notch hospitality! Every detail was thoughtfully managed. Truly a memorable stay!

I decide choosing Contour even after reading mixed reviews was simply because there were not much other options in Changanassery.But to our delight, we found contour to be well maintained with perfectly clean rooms & Bathrooms.My family was very happy with stay and service they provided.All the staff were pleasant and well behaved. The complimentary Breakfast was buffet, even though there was limited spread...whatever given was really very good.Infact it was much better than many 5 star hotels in which we have stayed in and around Kochi.So as whole we were really happy with rooms, services and food.Well maintained Property.I would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Changanaserry.

Pool privacy is an issue. Food quality and staff courtesy can be better. Good rooms though. And there's vast spaces

The property was good, location was good but we were really disappointed with the food, for breakfast everything was empty and for dinner the food didn’t taste good at all.

While the ambience and location was good, the property need to better their services. Restaurant food service and quality was not well managed. Breakfast options are limited but on the second day the waiter was kind enough to provide additional options. Rooms are a bit small for the rates.

Few of the staff don’t have a hospitality culture . They were too bossy or heavy headed. Rooms were neat and clean👍. Gust privacy is in question in this property, people who came to drink in the bar have full access in the gusts room. Swimming pool is jut for name sake. Property is not maintained as per the standards. The restaurant performs below average. I ordered one full tandoor chicken and they served it half cooked. When I noticed this error the restaurant manager has cancelled the order and replaced my order with chicken curry. Over all very poor performance, not recommended for a family trip.

Our first experience with this hotel, which was excellent and satisfying. The room was well maintained and services were well provided. The staffs are friendly and humble.

Stinky bathroom, terrible food, tv never worked, bugs everywhere, way overpriced for a poorly run, third rated hotel. They only have 12 rooms total and when they don’t have enough people they cancel the breakfast buffet. At night we can hear very loud noice from the bar. Drunken people park their cars behind our room with headlights on.

Pictures do not match the location, there is no lawn, no fountain, no cute gates, all rusted, no back waters, the area is infested by a plant called locally " epola ", pillows and bed covers with yellow stains had to speak to managers twice before they changed them, english language barrier most speak malayalam only, staff was very nice yet lack training, one staff member argued with me about providing instant coffee he said " 2 packs only per room " in most their coffee they use powder milk not real milk, no regular cleaning for outdours

Good property, good food, proximity wise good. May be best in that locality. Well behaved staff. May be restaurant can be better

This is a terrible place to stay. The bathroom stinks. Tv doesn’t work. They have only a total of 12 rooms. Most rooms were empty and so they conveniently cancel-led the breakfast buffet which was included in the booking. It was a strange feeling to sit alone in the dining room. Staff is nice and they are trying to do their best. It is priced way too high. We booked the deluxe room but decided to stay in the standard room because the deluxe was worse than standard room. They refused to refund the difference because we booked thru makemytrip.

Very unprofessional sales especially accounts department. They can’t event provide a gst bill. They denied the gst bill claiming that will provide even when i showed them that gst will be provided by the hotel

Everything was good except restaurant service for breakfast which is not upto the mark. Staff inadequate. Very slow

Location good, no much activity and options for food or amenities, far from backwaters, might need more options to give value for money

Great food great staff clean rooms we had a wonderful time.

It was beyond my expectations, i was skeptical while booking this place as i know it’s an old property so i thought the rooms wouldn’t be maintained, but i was surprised with the room, very clean rooms and bathroom rather say spotless clean linens well maintained rooms. Excellent service very secured. Food menu was limited and also breakfast had just two to three options but it surpasses the comfort cleanliness and service you get here

Property location is good, rooms were good with all required amenities. Breakfast was ala-carte instead of buffet, but the food was good with enough options. Swimming pool had leafs and some visible chemical powders inside. The price of the room was on the higher side for the location and facilities but.

Decent stay. In-spite of being a five star hotel they don't have a gym and buffet in morning breakfast. Not worth the money.
