Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock

Stayed at this Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock in Feb 20 for 2 days. Overall a great stay: (a) Conveniently located from jetty, lots of facilities available around Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock (like scooty renting and scuba diving centre). (b) A very lovely private beach (small though but great and sufficient) where you can relax, enjoy the sea and click beautiful photos, watch sunset too. (c) Room was good, adequate facilities were provided, cleanliness was maintained and housekeeping staff was really helpful in evicting any minor inconvenience. (d) Swimming pool is good, but it's just to dip and sit (you can't swim, it's only knee deep), but a great place to drench and chug beer. (e) Good restaurant, food was also tasty, breakfast had limited option but was sufficient, great room service and very polite staff. (f) Hotel also has three bicycles, which is so much fun to ride on Havelock and is free. (g) Standard of crowd in Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock is also good, you can comfortably wear any dress in the Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock and roam around unhindered. The staff is also very friendly and well behaved. Met a couple of foreign tourists and was a great experience. (h) Plenty of local restaurants available nearby which offer varieties of food (Sea food/Indian/Italian/South Indian) and offer free WiFi. (j) The only sore point in Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock was that rooms don't have any WiFi, you have to go near reception area and login, where you get only 200 MB of data irrespective of your period of stay and speed is also very slow. Moreover there is no phone network available in location. Overall a wonderful stay, only one suggestion please provide WiFi in all rooms. It's very much a necessity in the island, even if only limited data is provided. Would definitely like to visit Havelock again and would love to stay in this Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock.

Everything was great. We stayed for 2 nights. Perfect ambiance, perfect resto, perfect service, everything was perfect I can say but disappoint part of our stay was we have paid a huge amount for 2 night stay and we found cockroaches in room. 3 cockroaches I found in a room and on complaining about same, room service person told us as its a tropical area, some cockroaches are there but its very disappointing and difficult to accept as I paid huge amount for luxuries stay. We had opt for MAP plan that means it includes one major meal. As per my knowledge its buffet but they provide us a la carte menu, and asked me to select any items from the menu. On asking for prawns, they denied with reason its not available. Asked for cheesballs, it was not available. So these things disappointed us. Otherwise Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock location is good, staff is quite courteous.

The place looks good that has an almost private beach with clear water. Although, during low tide, the beach can't be used at all, it is quite nice in the middle of the day (at high tide when I was there). Staff is really good for most part. Although the room I stayed in had a leaky AC, that wasn't fixed even after complaining about it. The food wasn't good for the price. It is very expensive but tasted very mediocre. For the price, I would have expected it to be a lot lot better. Although everything is a bit expensive. Infact the trip (4days) cost me almost as much as a four day stay at Maldives in 5 star property in a private island. Beware, Scuba diving could be done at as low as INR 1500. The Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock charge more than that.

We stayed at the Coral suite for 2 days. Every single parameter on which one can judge a Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock was exceptional. Right from checkin, Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock staff, Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock ambience, cleanliness, food variety and taste, location, decoration of Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock, pool, night life everything was just superb. But the beaches of the Beach Resort in the Andamans don't give you the freedom to swim as you get in Goa that's because 95% of beaches there are filled with corals but in the hindsight what you get is the view of crystal clear blue waters. Rest everything was picture perfect. Just done think twice before booking this place. You will enjoy every single moment there.

Rooms were very nice and well maintained. Hotel infrastructure is also good and well maintained. It has got a nice private beach. But don’t go for the Candle Light Dinner at beach as it’s just not worth it. Way too expensive for the service provided and isn’t as good an experience as it should be It wasn’t as promised at all, service was poor and so was the location and arrangements. There were two more couples sitting beside us for the same and it didn’t feel like a special arrangement made for us. Instead I’d recommend CLD at Sinclairs in Port Blair as it has an amazing bayview location (much better than Coral Reef) and half the price and they don’t do it for more than one couple at a time so book in advance.

'luxury' is a comparative statement, for me it was almost there. But for the business tycoons who prefer whites all the times, you may choose to go to sea shell or taj. Almost everything was fyn. But certain critical points which Coral Reef Resort & Spa, Havelock can think of improving. 1. The beach portion can be regularly cleaned for dry leaves and twigs. Twice a day. 2. Restaurant staff can be increased, slightly delayed service. Though i was comfortable as i am a slow eater. 3. Dining of staff should strictly be prohibited from the guests restaurant. Again i didn't have any problems. Overall an amazing stay. Behavior of staff was excellent, barring one odd stiff faces. But it's fyn.

Our stay at Coral Reef at Swaraj Dweep was fabulous owing to the good room, private beach access, helpful staff specially Trishala, Lydia and Santoshi. The resort made great efforts to make our New Year’s Eve special. Andaman has a great deal to offer pristine beaches, amazing crystal clear water and water sports and even the panoramic sunrise and sunsets. Swaraj Dweep has the most famous Radhanagar Beach which has only 3 properties which were full due to season but we were happier at Coral Reef resort as the beach was more secluded and offered great panoramic view. Thank you MMT for listing this property. The only thing that could be better was the timeliness of breakfast.

Beautiful property located approx 15 min from havelock jetty. Resort has access to a private beach. However, in havelock, all the beaches with resort have dead coral reefs (rock like structures) on the beach. So you won't find many people on the beach. No goa vibes. Especially after the sunset. Room size was good. Also there is a play area, open gym where one can spend good time. They were also streaming world cup match and live music by the pool. Restaurant and food can be better. There were hardly 2 waiters and hence breakfast service was not prompt. There was no desert section in the breakfast. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at the property

Stayed there for our wedding anniversary. Our 3 yr son and we enjoyed the resort thoroughly. Would highly recommend

The Resort is situated at an excellent location with access to Beach. The rooms are spacious and well planned. The staff are very courteous and always ready to help us. They even arranged for water activities for us. Overall the stay was an excellent experience.

We had stayed for three days and the stay was very nice. All the staff at the property is well trained and always you feel special inside the property. Ideal for family stay. Food was awesome. Direct access to beach and nice swimming pool. Will stay next time.

Coral reef havelock is a beautiful beach property with pool, children's play area, beachside area. Rooms were nice, clean and cozy. Only thing that needs to be improved is the taste and quality of food.
