Delight The Fortuna

Stayed here for a night. Let me highlight the pros before I list the cons... The room we got was wonder full. Very clean.. Nice bed... Nice bathroom.. Balcony.. And the sound of gushing water... Okayish food.. The cons... The Delight The Fortuna is quite far from the city... Ten minutes... Even the Delight The Fortuna Manager could not explain the location to our local driver. Buffet breakfast was decent but Paratha was bad... But that's all manageable!! The worst part is although they have a functioning POS machine, they out rightly refused to accept card. First they said the machine wasn't working... Luckily I had the exact amount they billed me for.. 650/- rupees. The sad heater which they give was charged 300 bucks for which they again wanted just cash!! I had lost it by then... I yelled at the Manager. And behold, the POS machine started working!!! I told him to return my cash and to take the entire amount through my card... They flatly refused that as well!! So much so for Modi wanting India to go Digital!! Anyway... Leaving aside this bad experience, I would say the Delight The Fortuna was nice in terms of accommodation and would be wonderful if they look into the comfort of their guests in terms of payment (especially when cash is impossible to get)...

Location wise, this Delight The Fortuna is a mixed bag-quite far from MG Market (main market of Gangtok) and lies in little outside area. However, this has advantage of one river let draining adjacent to it. The sound of the same is pleasant (bu only in the rooms which lie on that side of Hotel) Service, some very young, crude boys available for room service. Again, a mixed bag, one of them was very well mannered and class apart from all. Food: Food is good. Was having very low expectation for food in this part of the country. But, they served all North Indian tasty food. Mind you, they don't have a menu to choose from. You call the kitchen and ask options for the day and choose. Overall, this is value for money Delight The Fortuna. I stayed in Suite. It was spacious and tidy. Overall, one has to trade off on one thing or other. I got it **** cheap on MMT. Hence, I was prepared for my share of trade offs. I recommend this Delight The Fortuna if you are looking for value for money.

The rooms are as per shown in the MMT pic gallery however I felt it was above excellent as the rooms were highly modern with excellent furniture and fittings, the rooms were very spacy. I booked 3 rooms from 4 days (31. 01. 17- 04. 02. 17) and it was worth to stay. The location is amazing with a fine view of mountains and the 24hrs cold wind around the Delight The Fortuna makes it feel the best place to stay. The service of the Delight The Fortuna is par above excellence, as the manager Mr Devashish helped and arranged all the passes and permit, even arranged cabs at a very economical price and looked for all the needs of our entire group. Hotel staff are well mannered and friendly. I would recommend this Delight The Fortuna every time if I visit Gangtok. Lovely place, lovely Delight The Fortuna and lovely location.

If you want a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle, this Delight The Fortuna is the one. Spacious rooms, good service and has a personal and homely feel. The food menu should have more variety though. They serve you similar dishes. Taste wise average. Service is excellent. Staffs are courteous and helpful.
I would like to be maintained better. The walls have cracked at places. Rugs are dusty. Towel holder missing. It was not the case previously this Delight The Fortuna was my personal favorite but this time I felt sad seeing it shabby.

This was a nice Delight The Fortuna by look and also very spacious rooms. We got a Executive suite with nice sofa sets. Big wardrobe. Nice lighting. Good food. Good room service. Also we get it at a good discount. 850 rupees per night. But only big drawback is that it is 12-14 km drive away from MG marg the central market area of Gangtok. Also Kanchendzonga was not visible from the Delight The Fortuna. Every time you need to pay Rs. 200 to reserve a taxi to go to shopping or sight seeing and again another 200 bucks to return to the Delight The Fortuna.

One of the best Delight The Fortuna I've ever been to. The staff was very helpful. Hotel was found easily. Rooms were well maintained. The washrooms were really clean and tidy. No changes that can be suggested. The best was tea and coffee material available in super Deluxe with electric cattle. I would suggest everyone to go for this Delight The Fortuna. Around 5 KMS away from MG marg mall road but you can always available local taxi service @ 200 max for one way. Would suggest you to always book with breakfast as it's too tasty and ready on time.

Awsum... Worth of money... Friendly nature... Stay was relaxing. View was good... Location good... Well mannered and well staff... Environment for couples... Facility was good... Food was awesome. We had a great experience there... Hope to visit there again... Manager was a good guide for us... Directed us very well for our further journey. Its around 5. 5 km from main city. There are so many visiting place near the Delight The Fortuna like tashi view point, banjhakri facility was good... Food was fabulous.

Very nice Delight The Fortuna with 3 star rated rooms and with a good restaurant. All the rooms have very good furniture and lovely interiors. All the Delight The Fortuna staff are very well mannered and cooperative. Very young energetic staff. The Manager of the Hotel Mr. Amit Sarkar is a very nice person. He treats all the guests perfectly by guiding them correctly. He manages his team very well. Enjoyed a lot in the staying at this Delight The Fortuna. The breakfast was very good, especially the coffee.

Hotel is REALLY good. Location is also good. Friendly Delight The Fortuna staff. Just one drawback - no ATM nearby. Otherwise everything is awesome

Me and my friend was on #Sikkim2017 ride. The Delight The Fortuna located adjuscent to a waterfall. An awesome experience. Great location, good service too Parking is also available and it is only 4/5 kms away from the city center

I like the hospitality of this Delight The Fortuna very much, Delight The Fortuna staff were very helpful. Room of mine was very spacious and fully designed for couple. Lobby area was absolutely mind blowing. The enterioor of this Delight The Fortuna was over all very beautiful. Any one who is willing to visit the Gangtok must stay here and enjoy his/ her trip gracefully.

My all over experience was good. I liked the Delight The Fortuna and would like to stay in this Delight The Fortuna if I again visit Gangtok. The view from the balcony is awesome. The Delight The Fortuna staff was friendly and helpful. The room condition is also good.

Absolutely great feeling. River flowing beneath the Delight The Fortuna. Great hospitality. Receptionist passing can sharp and chef Rufus Rai was wonderful.

Me and one of my friends booked a room at cheapest rate. Thanks MMT for the offer(We got it at Rs. 532 only). After reaching Gangtok, it was little bit confusing how to reach our Delight The Fortuna but anyhow we managed it(we went their by bike). The staff are so friendly and helpful, foods are awesome but at high range and the room was just wow .. (We got room no. 505) Overall it was nice experience there. I recommend all to spend there. P. S. - The room have balcony also which has a wonderful view.

Awesome stay. Quality room with extraordinary tasty food. Well behaved management. Although the location was little off bit, But best part is the ambiance created by the staff was great. Value for money. Keep it up guys.

Fantastic Delight The Fortuna. Restaurant, room and staff very professional. Service was very good. Away from the prime location but in peaceful location. I really stay here in future. I strongly recommended to stay here.

Rooms have a good view, well maintained and clean. Staff is helpful to arrange transport for all local sightseeing. Facilities are up to good standards for the money you pay. Totally recommended.
