Deshadan Cliff & Beach Resort

Actually I chkd in on 6th but to my utter disappointment the given room was not upto my expectations. Therefore after waiting for an hour in my room , I checked out of the hotel & got into another good hotel & spent my planned holiday. Though the name is Deshadan Cliff & Beach Resort, the place is neither on the cliff or near the beach. Moreover the given room has no ventilation, no balcony & mainly there is no privacy. There is a view to the pool from my room but if I open the windows to view there will not be any privacy. Also the Hotel has no property where in we can have a walk. Only few rooms & one swimming pool. MMT should ensure that such hotels which claim to be resorts are proper as per their name so that customers like myself don't feel cheated.

Had a good time there at deshadan on May 2025. The rooms were compact but lacked refrigerators and lockers. The restroom was neat and of adequate size. Complimentary breakfast was nice and decent but no space at peak hour. The staffs were friendly and polite.

Had a horrible experience the AC was not working the technician where nowhere around. I won’t complain about the night shift people, but the people who where in the reception by the time I checked in done nothing to fix or find any alternative solution. They didn’t even mentioned anything to the night shift people regarding this issue.

After a busy business year end ,stay at deshadan was truly rejuvenating...it my 5 stay at deshadan and they don't disappoint you in any way..

Room was clean and spacious, pool was clean, no sea view, breakfast was not good, overall a decent stay for the price

Bad breakfast. No proper reception. The hotel states cliff and beach resort. And there is no beach facing here at all. We had to walk outside the hotel few mins to go to a common/public beach. The reception was so untidy. Shockingly there is no reception powder room/rest room.

Nice property and amenities. We enjoyed very much. Pool was clean and neat. . Only the restaurant facility is not available all time. My point of view 15000 is very very high for that property.

Resort is good, walkable distance to varkala cliff beach.

Overpriced and over rated ! hotel is located close to the north cliff and beach. The food in the room service is very good. Other than this, there is nothing good here to pay. See details below. Pros - walkable to the cliff and beach - staff helped arrange cabs for other sight seeing and airport. - room service food was good but not the buffet breakfast (see cons) cons - there room was tiny with a small double bed and an extra bed for the child filled the room leaving hardly any space to walk - housekeeping was done in bits and pieces only after asking for each thing like towels, cleaning etc. - pool is not clean - had to ask to clean up. It was never full to the brim and draining, even when ppl were using the pool - breakfast was very very basic. - lot of other issues like bad internet, the shower button not working ridiculous hotel for the price that they charge. This is just a 2 star showing off pictures like 4star. Don't get fooled ! for the price paid it was not value of

Our experience was not at all satisfactory the rooms were dusty and not cleaned properly the moment we switched on the fan, heads of dust fell from the fan on to the bed. We then had to wait outside the room for half an hour for the hotel staff to clean the room and fans and change the bed covers next day, we noticed ants on the bed and again had to call house keeping staff to change the bed covers at night there were no hand towels in the bathroom wifi was also nor working. When we asked the staff, we were told that the no of guests are a lot and hence wifi is not working we had a very unpleasant experience for the price that we paid to stay at this property

Food, location, service all were excellent, except some issues like, waste bin was broken and due to that we were opening the same with hand, and bed sheet was stained.

The way to the beach is very narrow. Actually there is no proper road. You have to cross very narrow waterlogged lanes. Our door lock was not working properly. The dialer/receiver phone which was kept in the room was not working. The service was good. Food was tasty. But if you think about the location the rate is overpriced.

Let me start wit Awww.. My daughter the moment we entire room the fragrance smell was really good. Its was raining badly we had a cup of tea and went to pool. Pool was very well maintained and staffs were very friendly and good supported with all the things like towels and umbrella. We order some starters, instructed to make it spicy and as we expected starters was so spicy and delicious dragon chicken, egg chilly and chilly chicken they cooked very well and served near pool though it was raining staffs are very good enough to serve all the foods near pool as per our requirements. Starting from Manager Vinu till house keeping all are so good. No one expect single pie from anyone if you like to pay tips there is a tips box u can put it. Coming to breakfast they hve good varieties and loved breakfast to and ordered biryani and fish for dinner everything was delicious over all I stayed 2 nights worth for money, stay everting. Mine I loved is there hospitality. Thank you Vinu and Team❤️

Highly recommended resort in varkala for budget friendly. Food was soo hygiene d and tasty too. The hospitality of staff was remarkable. Me and my family very much satisfied on this property. Mostly recommended for families for staying in this resort

The property is good. Rooms were neat and clean. Room service was also prompt. Staff was courteous. They only have pool view rooms. Though cliff is pretty close by around 5 mins by car.

We found this property through google search. The amenities was good but cost was little expensive.

Pleasant stay. Rooms are good and reasonable for the price. Pool is 4ft depth even non swimmer can enjoy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staffs were always motivated to help us. The food was excellent, especially breakfast buffet. The resort ambience was lovely & very serene. We look forward to coming back.
